  • what are all the mega man levels called all i know is gutsman quarry, castle cutman, topman tower, some needleman level and i think i saw skullmans level and geminimans what are they all called?

  • known level names are Guts Man Quarry, Castle Cut Man, Fort Bubble Man, Wood Man Forest, Spinning Greenhouse (Top Man), Construction Site (Needle Man), Mirror Cavern (Gemini Man), Skull Man Wastelands, Capital of Science (Knight Man/Shade Man), Sky Fortress, Pirate Man Airship, Snake Man Pit and Moon Fortress.

  • Sky Fortress will be Tengu Man, Air Man and Tornado Man's level. Moon Fortress will belong to the likes of Gravity Man, Star Man and a few others. ;)

  • Will Galaxy Man from 9 be part of the Moon Fortress? You slipped that Tornado Man was in the Sky Fortress, so come on... You can tell us. (Nah, you don't have to)

    Also, "Spinning Greenhouse"? Is THAT what Top Man's level is? It just looks like a bunch of clear shades of weed to me (srsly).

  • Very nice, What I see in terms of updates so far: New levels for Megaman world, Charge Shot and Slide, New Bosses, New Enemies, and the ladders are fixed. Will Proto Luigi have Megaman Mario's abilities?

  • Okay, so Mario can gain Mega Man's powers, and Tails gets Gyro Man's abilities. What about Luigi and Sonic? I can kinda see Sonic getting Quick Man, but I'm lost on what Luigi might get.

  • The look of the character yes. It also looks like the coins will change (if your using sonic or tails they will be rings). You can also sprite different characters and their power ups.

  • It's a darn shame that I was aware of this too late. Gravity Man's stage would have been a better fit with the reverse gravity and all, but that's no longer here nor there. I'm liking where this is going. Good luck to you, JudgeSpear, and all others involved in this massive project. This will be truly a masterpiece when its finished.

  • Theres so many stages I'm contributing to for the next 0.2 Beta Release. Theres Subcon Panic, Guts Man Quarry, Wood Man Foreste and an original MM stage called Megatropolis. I'm afraid MM2 Wily Stage is on hiatus until the following Beta after this one.

  • Its a portion of the Starsims Universe Theme Song. Something I made on Cubase six years ago. I intend to use it for a theme song to a Starsims Universe Anime I wanna create in future.

  • I'm pleased with the Turn-out too.

    But I was worried for a sec. The game was on hiatus for a while, thanks to things happening in JS' personal life. But Judgespear is programming again, I'd say the proper v0.1 Beta Release will be out soon. It'll include the first 2 level contributions I've made.

    1. Cutman Castle (I helped create the boss)

    2. Megatropolis (An original stage I designed)

  • Man Its going to be hard for me to defeat the yellow devil I'm sure of it!

  • We may make the Yellow Devil slightly bigger to compensate for Mario's increased height. But as for the Yellow Devils Attack Technique.

    It wouldn't be a nostalgic and true Megaman battle if we didn't keep to the old routine. I think we'll keep what Yellow Devil does best. Fusion fans had better start practicing with Yellow Devil on Megaman 1 again. ;) Save your Power Shots when playing this level in SMF, you won't have Elec Man's Thunder Beam this time.

  • well the point was to showcase levels that will be in the game

    some levels are semi completed i think but this was just to showcase the levels

  • I'm sure the game will be much more fun than these Showcases. JS is particularly excited with my original level designs, like Megatropolis Train Station and Highway. He at least wants the Train one done by the next beta alongside Cutman Castle.

  • I played through all the levels featured here in Wily Wars on the Sega Genesis and ever so slowly ripped the level graphics as I went along, with screenshots after screenshots, and then did the tedious job of blanking out unnecessary background, scoreboard and life bars.

  • What's with 2:25? Nice work so far, I'm a big fan of SMF.

  • Thats a SMB 2 (USA) Subcon level for World 1 I've designed too. You'll be seeing some original elements from both Mario 2 and the original Doki Doki Panic, in that level. Certain examples; like the black grass and the face instead of a hawk.

  • Awesome, I'm glad to see you've implemented the SMB2/Doki Doki Panic levels. This is truyl one of the gratest fan-made Mario games of all time. Just wish I knew if Crystal Man made it into the mix.

  • Well, looks like Star Man's in there, so thats a good sign!

  • One question: will Mario have a permanent Megaman suit while on these stages? Finding ways for little mario to be able to clear these all those challenges sounds near impossible. Maybe the point of visiting Dr. Light is so the good doctor can hook Mario up with the Megaman suit as his default form.

    Of course due to "Inter-dimensional fluxes" or some other overcomplicated plot device Dr. Light's upgrade only works in the Megaman world :P

  • Something to consider. :) I got the impression from JS that he intended the Megaman Suit to be found via "?" Blocks (and hopefully from Eddie in various points in the stages) and lost just like the regular power ups.

    The key of course, to keep the advantage of playing the levels "Megaman-style" is to NOT get hit :P

  • Well there would still be the powerup version of the suit, obtained from "?"blocks/etc.

    I was saying that in the Megaman world Mario's small and normal form would be substituted for the Megaman suit. The megaman suit powerup from "?"blocks would just give him an extra hit he can take and be the only way to carry the Megaman suit over to other worlds, behaving as a normal suit option elsewhere.

    The other suits (Fireflower, Halo, Raccoon, etc) would behave like normal.

  • If you go with my idea have him die Megaman style. More fitting and saves drawing a new death sprite.

    No need to draw little Megaman Mario: when Mario picks up a mushroom add a little mushroom icon somewhere on his stats bar showing he has an extra hit to take. Or better yet a Megaman energy tank icon ;)

    Obviously without a mushroom he should be able to break blocks.

  • Well, in the end, its Judgespears call. We'll see what he thinks of these ideas. I'm just his Megaman Realm designer :)

  • well i think it should be as it was shown in the vids..as a suit that mario can use until he gets hit once... that simplifies matters and adds a bit of a twist to the levels that small mario can beat the levels... like in the bubble man level. also by the looks of the screen shots there will be items (blocks by the looks of it) that mario can pick up and toss at the enemies if he loses the suits... and some bosses will have attacks that mario can use against them.

    its up to JS in the end though

  • That's actually another point. There'd be no need to give Mario a permanent Megaman suit at the start. Many stages like Bubbleman, Gutsman, & Cutsman should be no problem to clear without it.

    The idea would more be for the later, more intense stages and bosses who would be difficult to come up with ways for little Mario to defeat. Resorting to stomping them would feel a little shallow.

    As its been said its for JS to figure how the stages will play or if such gameplay twists are even needed. GL

  • JS has suggested that the Gutsblocks can only be picked up by Megaman Mario, and only the blocks after Gutsmans stage.

    This is to sort of suggest that since defeating Gutsman (the first Megaman realm boss) you gain his ability. That'll probably be the only Boss power Mario will gain, technically.

    All that needs to be done to make that possible is to not make the Gutsman stage blocks pick-upable. But all blocks found later on in the Realm will be.

  • Of course, a lot of the levels are unfinished. Still need proper backgrounds and such, some even need better enemy sprites. Currently reshading various sprites in the Wily Wars style.

    All the enemies from Megaman 4-6 never got the Sega Genesis treatment so we have to do it ourselves.
