This is an exquisite miniature, rather like a rare gem. Horowitz was more of a classicist than he was credited for and indeed does very well with the Adagio, however it is not the most profound of performances. Would love to have heard Schnabel play this piece.

I think this is way too fast for an Adagio... I love Horowitz but this is just too fast... sorry

@Mo19010100 i definately agree! he plays it in 6 minutes, but all the other interpretations are 8 or 9 minutes long... it's still very well play! =)

He does not play reprises, that's why it fits only in 6 minutes :) Not because he plays fast.
