@SuperProgamer01 That's how it lags. Not sure how I fixed it, but it went away, make sure you have useless stuff like Shadows and view distance as low as you can (Large improvement on FPS whilst sacrificing as little as you can) If you drop everything to lowest, it should go away, if it doesn't, it's probably a problem with the physics engine, check PhysX (If you need it, havent played in ages) and DirectX are installed correctly, or reinstall the whole game and hope for the best. I have this card with a intel P6100, 3 GB ram ddr3. I play it on 1200x768, all medium(shadows low), and i get also 22+FPS BUT if i change shadows to medium... it gets a bit slower >_> Probably because 1200x is a bit high(i can also play on 1366x768)

I get about 18fps on low-med and 1280x720

Even on low settings, whenever I drive the car, the game seems to go in slow motion for about half a second every few seconds. I have turned of AA or AS and have all meters(draw distance etc.) at less than 25. Shadowws off. Updated drivers too!

@NEWanjingkepala3 gta4 takes exceeding 2gb of ram. I'm actually restricted to the settings I can run it on my desktop because my ram (3gb) maxes out if I max out the settings. So in short, increasing your ram improve the lag.

@waihung In the ATI line, the second digit of the model indicates what type of card it is. 1-5 = entry level, 6-7 = main stream and the rest for extreme performance.

e.g. 5470 - 4 = entry and 5870- 8 = extreme performance.
