The Badger 200 is a fine airbrush ,ive had mine 20 years its quite reliable.Tamiya and Sangyo-Gunze acrylic paints are fine through the brush.Always clean the brush with water alcohol mix with a drop of windex to libricate the nylon washers.
I know you are way more experienced than I; but I noticed you said the there was almost no difference between the Vallejo Game color and Model. I found that odd as I have noticed a big difference between them. I'm not sure how to describe it but the game color seems to be a more fluid paint with more pigment that, while it is more fluid, has a dryness to it. The Model paint has a thickness to it. it's surface tension seems stickier to me. did I get some bad paints?
hey alexandra!! nice vid, just ordered my kolibri brush:) i wanted to know if u could do a video for the nurgle demon prince that you did in an unboxing, yes it was a long time ago....thanks in advance
@dannyrobb1711 the gw airbrush is an outside mixing airbrush just like the cheapest model from badger for example and only for priming minis and tanks. i woudn´t recomend it.
That is, youtube viewers. Yeah I've never heard anybody say that before either, but she starts all of her videos like that and it's nice enough, these are great videos and have helped me do some fairly good painting myself.
I find that Vallejo game color paints constantly break; the pigment separates from the medium. The last bottle of black I used would leave whitish spots withing the recesses if is was thinned even slightly with water. I also find the dropper bottles cause a bit of waste, as often there is paint slopping out of the spouts after they are shaken. I'll never buy Vallejo game again, maybe Model or is Air better. Personally I'll be using GW and P3 paints, never any problems with them.
I think it's not that they're all bad, it's that they're hit and miss. My friend has an old blue brush that's lasted almost a decade and still going strong, but every time he gets one of the new black ones they're destroyed within a week. I've not had those problems myself, so it seems to be luck of the draw.
@Crondom10 after my school days i couldn´t speak english at all (finished it with a 5-)
i aquired my hole knolage by watching movies in eglish without subtitles. after a year i could understand everything without a problem, and a year later i could talk like that now.
I thought Germany used the Euro? Sod the dollar hehe. Great vid, maybe you wont have to keep repeating yourself now since some people don't read or listen to what you say :)
Great video, and when talking about paint I totally agree. People ask me why I use Panzer Aces quite a bit on my minis. The answer is simple it is what the model shop in my town sells. It doesn't really matter what paints you use (GW, Game Colour, Model colour etc.) as long as you're painting.
Dann Badab Black getuscht. Anschließend Rüstung Scab Red mit ein wenig Red Gore als Mix. Highlights an den Rändern Kommando Khaki. Am Ende darüber dann Baal Red Wash.
Vallejo offers an equivalent to the fondation colors of GW. I frequently use theire "extra opaque" products. Stragly enought they don't show them on theire HP. But you can find them ons say.. amazon even.
Vallejo bietet auch einen Ersatz zu den Fondation Farben von GW. Ich finde sie klasse und benutz sie oft. Sind nur komischwerweise nicht auf der HP von vallejo zu finden, wohl aber in diversen shops.
Actually, there is a lot of difference between Model, Game, and Air.
Model color is generally apparently a more brittle paint that usually requires varnishing but it has a huge and more muted range. Game color is more resistant and yes is basically GW equivalents with a larger range.
Model Air has a much finer grinding process and is thinner to be used straight into an airbrush. Their model air metallics are amazing with no glitter effect.
