Decriminalization is much more accurate of a term to use than legalization. Decriminalization implies altering the laws that made feral hemp and/or marijuana illegal in the first place. Legalization implies that it has always been illegal when it clearly has not been. I use the term decriminalization, as well, because they made it criminal when it was once legal. By the way, these were a mixed compilation of various callers made to sound like Alex talking solely to Willie.

I can speak for myself. I support hemp rights more so than marijuana rights, at present, but I do believe that they should both be decriminalized by those who criminalized it. Just by you saying legalize doesn't mean that you won't be thrown in jail for use, or possession, until we change the laws.

Decrim sends the message that cannabis is somehow more dangerous then alcohol or tobacco, it also still send people to jail for production and distribution.

Decriminalization is much more accurate of a term to use than legalization. Decriminalization implies altering the laws that made feral hemp and/or marijuana illegal in the first place. Legalization implies that it has always been illegal when it clearly has not been. I use the term decriminalization, as well, because they made it criminal when it was once legal. By the way, these were a mixed compilation of various callers made to sound like Alex talking solely to Willie.

In politics:
decrim= no charges but still getting caught and treated like a speeder for possesion and the same for everything else
legalize= legalized.
No need to confuse the sheep more, they are having a tough enough time already.

I don't mean to be rude, but I don't find any personal meaning to your explanation of decriminalize and legalize. I'm not going to let you confuse ME in regard to this. I know that if one gets caught trafficking, unless they are a friendly cartel, paying someone off, etc., they are pressed with criminal charges. So, they HAVE criminalized it. I agree with you in the philosophical argument that it should be legal and morally isn't criminal. Decriminalize describes the climate.

Also, I have been doing what I can to support hemp and/or marijuana rights for years, now, so I can't speak for others who use the term decriminalize, in regard to their intentions. I can speak for myself. I support hemp rights more so than marijuana rights, at present, but I do believe that they should both be decriminalized by those who criminalized it. Just by you saying legalize doesn't mean that you won't be thrown in jail for use, or possession, until we change the laws.

Thats fine, but you entirely ignored my main point. Those people who we need to get to decriminalize, will SAY they are going to decriminalize and make it sound like its what you and I want. Then they will make it legal only in small amounts for people who smoke it, a shitty half measure that will increase criminal activity and possibly give cannabis an even worse name.
I'm asking you to not use your chosen term because if some sheep reads only your comment then the politicians will succeed.

To preface this, I'd like to state that I am not against smoking weed. I am a libertarian and a proponent of legalization.
BUT...Obviously the concept of professionalism escapes you. There is supposed to be a level of decorum in an interview situation and being high during an interview is a breach of that decorum. It shows a disrespect for the interviewer and the audience. You smoke the weed AFTER the interview so that you can have a clear head for the questions.
