@PikminGuts92 And without Harmonix there'd be neither! (Guitar Hero 1, 2. and Rocks the 80's were both made by Harmonix who then sold the rights to Activision so they could re-revolutionize the music game industry with Rock Band and they succeeded) What I'm saying is that Activision is killing Guitar Hero and Rock Band is revolutionizing again with Pro Mode. Rock Band is better my friend, and Harmonix is just the shit!
@PokemonDaAbridged Actually, I think the Guitar Hero franchise was owned by Red Octane. Activision acquired the rights to Guitar Hero when they bought Red Octane before the release of GH3. Harmonix was bought out by MTV Games. During that big transition, Harmonix had a choice where they wanted to go. They chose to go with MTV Games because they've always said "They are musicians before they are game developers". Since I can't fit any more in I'll say this.. Rock Band 3 will be amazing!
@PikminGuts92 Red Octane was the distributor, the creators and programmers were Harmonix for both franchises, the only difference is now MTV Games and EA are the distributors of Rock Band. Harmonix started it all.
Rock Band looks more fun. I have FC'd the Guitar Hero version.

@PokemonDaAbridged Yeah, I know that. I was just saying Harmonix didn't own the rights to Guitar Hero, Red Octane did.
