  • Interesting .... I typed in three of the sites he's got in his list and I never got squat. IE brought me to search results.

Guess I'm still not impressed with IE. I'll stay with Firefox.

  • I think mrizos when he make this video , he scared if the link enter and IE nothing to do.(no AV). and then the virus=_= bomb , only shit in the computer

  • Internet explorer is the best at the moment. FACE IT.

  • cool

  • thanks for those awesome links lol jk

  • SmartScreen fails, because I downloaded a virus file but it says it is safe

  • @4131025 u hav another anitvir program

  • @leeroyleo123 thats the idea to sell the damn thing xD

  • LOL in the first few seconds of the vid U sounded a bit like Homer X__x XD

  • @leeroyleo123 Know thy enemy... Know thy self.

  • a week is a while??

  • can it beat the Infinity Browser's Website Scanner? Lol, I made the Infinity Browser to be the most secure browser ever, I use it myself... Internet Explorer 8 looks promising though...

  • cookies? oatmeal or choco-choco-chip?

IF YOU HAVE SOMEONE'S COOKIE GIVE IT BACK!

  • IE - SUCK!

  • You got disconnected on num 7. #lol

  • That shield on the tray is TROJAN!

  • alot of Chinese sites

  • what do holes mean

  • Why didnt u try goggle? McAfee Site Advisor said its VERY DANGEROUS...

  • goggle isnt anymore. now its just a typosquater

  • Comment removed

  • IE 8 actually grabbed 1st place in a security test by NSS labs.

  • @Paddis92 what about 9?

  • it's not the browser thats targeted, it's the operating system.

  • IE 7 doesn't catch anything...

  • hi um i have a mac and i know people think you dont need one n=but whats the best antiviurs

  • The best antivirus is a rogue antivirus meaning that it infects your computer, give false postive reports and forcing you to by their software

  • actualy i would use an antivirus cus they are viruses for every operating system

  • Hey this is my comment about you comment. It is true what you said OK. THese are famouse (Sort of) operating systems that do not have as much virous. Mac OS X Snowlepard and Linux. Lunux is free download.

  • @chad362wiley:

I think Kaspersky for mac is the best

  • Ever since I put a spell checker add on to my Internet explorer, IE likes to open new tabs when I browse Web addresses. I just want the original tab to change like it use to, and still have the option of opening a new tab when I want to. Anyone have any ideas plz help.

  • firefox is targeted at the same rate

  • although IE8 is more secure than other versions of ie. its still not totally secure as its constantly targetted.

Firefox has excellent add ons to make it even safer

  • Matt im surprised you like internet explorer even IE8 is an unsecure browser .the fact it is targetted so much microsoft can never really stay on top of it its too risky for me.

I will stick with Firefox and make use of all the neat security add ons to make firefox even safer.

  • IE 8 is the most secure browser now. I don't see how "add-ons" would help, since the more plug-ins you have, the more vulnerable you are... The only reason why it's targetted more is because most people own this browser... but I'm glad to say that Microsoft finally got IE right with IE 8

  • it sucks

  • But firefox is better because of all the add ons right ?

  • Right.

  • even though im chinese i gotta agree russian chinse hackers always trying to get the US.. im in NYC a this chinse company tried to infected me.. but my kaspersky blocked it

  • wich browser uses the most resources?

  • probably IE8, which is probably y it is so slow for me,

nxt wud b firefox den google chrome, google chrome hardly have any resources, other than chekin for malicious wesites

  • @888kermit firefox.

  • Hmm if IE 8 SF uses mrt, live and essential signature, its best to use WOT + other antivirus (none microsoft) to take advantage of larger database.

  • I'm getting proud of MS products, it seems like they improved a lot as Matt said. Can't wait to get my hands on Windows 7 at this point.

  • Yea, look at MSE

    I still like NOD32 better.

  • i also have internet explorer 8 and ur righ, i checked that yourguardpro thingand yep that message came up. totally fake, then i kliked disregard and download anyway, just to check my antivirus software, and good old avg came straight away and got rid of it.

  • Damn.

Kinda looks like Vista, I betcha it doesn't let addon's run on legit sites too, like UAC.

  • Internet Explorer 8 is very good... I use it. ;)

  • i really am surprise by that IE8,but i gonna stick with firefox.

  • What about Opera?

  • i dont get why people use internet explorer, i mean SmartScreen? ok but Firefox is still the safest browser since it scans for viruses and has WOT which is 1337.

  • lolz are u sure that firefox is the safest browser?

u should see mrizos channel(this channel) and see his firefox test video

  • lol i thought there was a wot addon for ie?

and his review on the firefox was... surpirsing.

firefox repeatedly claims tad it was the safetest web broswer on the net. but now we noe the truth..

  • firefox is still the best! it has lots of addons.. faggot

  • fanboy alert. lol

i use firefox too as its addons are alot and its easier to install

  • minadabom1, there's a version of WOT which runs in IE. Firefox is no longer the safest browser.

  • i know its not the safest browser anymore, but IE isn't either, i have noticed Google Chrome has a better malware prevention system as it monitors millions more sites than any other browser.

  • I agree with you, Chrome is a very good browser.

  • Actually, Firefo uses the same malware prevention database as Chrome, so Chrome and Firefox are basically the same.

  • if it were so, then why in a test were more sites infected with malware blocked on chrome than firefox? they were the same sites on both browsers.

  • It would be good if IE was not integrated in the OS in the first place. That will make Windows very much more secure.

  • how much did microsoft payed this woman to pretend that she likes IE8!!!!!!!

  • It would be good if Internet Explorer coulkd block the Malicious Rootkit and exploited websites as well!

Also it would be good if no-one would ever get infected with any Malware by using a product like this ever again!

Also it would be a good idea if Microsoft added in with the Smartscreen filter some of the 3rd party Virus Signatures from companies like Norton, McAfee or Kaspersky although that is reall for the Antivirus to deal with Isn't it?

  • But it does, "The malicious rootkit" would be in a trojan dropper that would most likely be blocked anyway (which rootkit are you talking about?).

Frankly, I have never gotten infected while using IE because I don't click everything!

  • Hello

    Thanks for your reply!

I was talking about Rootkits in general! (any really!)

  • also it has memory protection in internet settings

  • IE in Vista is really great since Vista runs on restricted privileges by default. Also, IE 7 and on has a sandbox like "protected mode" that further restricts privileges. But yeah, Firefox has way more addons than IE.

  • do u have to have windows one care install for it to stop the redirections and trojans?

    ((really important !))

  • no you dont!

  • lol chinese.....

  • Comment removed

  • could anyone explain wat a cookie is?

  • firefox still owns :) if u have addons

  • I have both IE8 and Firefox.

  • chrome sucks firefox good ie8 kicks ass an is extermanating both of them

  • Firefox rules! IE8 sucks.

  • Agreed!

  • Really? WHY?!

  • look at his new vid

  • If it could be just Lil More fast..Just a bit....Then it will F *** Google chrome

  • internet explorer 8 is in the process of exterminating firefox

  • Agreed :D

  • ie8 is killing firefox right now.

  • Internet Explorer is winning!

  • review/test windows defender? thanks

  • Yeah matt please.

  • still sucks!!!!!

  • can you review windows defender?

  • Oh god id love to see Matt do that... i asked him a while back and he said he wasn't going to :-/

  • Very interesting video !

  • whats a cookie?

  • Usually A .txt file holding data to be read again they can sometimes be a different File type

  • That's not a real test. What ordinary user would close the ActiveX info bar when IE asks if it's OK to run some scripts? It's almost like the dialog that says "running executable files can harm your computer".

  • I would close the activeX bar.

  • I think ill still stick to Fire Fox.

  • I has teh both

    Firefox and IE 8

  • meh too

  • Chrome sucks though

  • Internet Explorer 8 Smartscreen filter ca also block websites before they do downloads as the video of IE8 shows on the Microsoft IE8 Website and i have found this feature to be useful as well as once I had IE8 Installed I accidently trumbled accross a reported dangerous Website and it told me the website could harm my computer and it blocked the website before it could access my computer! I think it catches those hidden.PHP Strikes!

  • i hated ie8 when i first got it cuz when i got on myspace with it, the page was all fucked up than on IE7 it was fine idk if they fixed ti or not

  • Man AVira dissapointed me.I put my stick in the usb and said that is a virus(woot) and then I got attentioned that a file form windows is infected as well(wtf).Didn't had this problem before with the stick,I think that i was a false alarm.I installed Pc Tools Av and found some viruses+spyware with mbam.Where the hell have I got those from....I use windows firewall, did the malware broke my firewall?

  • Windows Firewall is crap. Simple as that.

  • You should see Window7 Firewall, it's oddly, pretty good, compared to the older window Firewalls, It blocks about 60%, witch is good for it coming with windows and free, is Good.

  • i already got it dude :D its much better than ie7

its like 80% good of 100% firefox

  • good quality recording.

  • no offense to chinesse XD

  • :) surpisingly look good but microsoft WLOC only got 87.1%detection rate(only beat china brand-kingsoft) according to av-comparatives test but at least now, IE8 will block redirect, add-on & even try to warn u its a known virus/malware after u click run...

  • good vid cheers :)

  • Microsoft Internet Explorer has vastly improved.

Can you try the same amount of URLs in this video versus Mozilla Firefox 3?

    Thanks in advance!

    Awesome videos.

  • Yes. Firefox and Chrome will be getting the same tests this week.

  • hehe I love watching you're video's :)

  • thanks alot, i never use ie only firefox but sometimes i need to use ie for some downloads so its nice to be uptodate with ie browsing.

Keep up the good work !

  • Thanks man, will do.

  • neah chrome is better.

  • We'll find out.

  • I hope firefox does good because firefox 3.0.8 is my main browser and firefox 3.1 Beta 3 is my secondary

  • I already Have IE8 ^_^...it's better than the previous versions..But I still like firefox :D

  • yes bud i was thinking he make video abount some antivirus

  • Great video. I feel that I can begin to trust IE. But still use Firefox xD

  • Look out for my same test to Firefox.

  • good vid im gettinf ie8 now thanks

  • thanks man!

  • the thing that bugs me, is that it is slower than firefox, but it has improved like hell.

  • I think it's pretty fast, but Chrome for me is the fastest browser I've seen to date.

  • i need to try chrome :D

  • on a low end computer, opera would be recommendable. on an average home/work computer chrome would be best. on a high end gaming computer, theres no difference

  • IE8 is now the best of all browsers but no as safe as firefox 3

  • Best means safety as well, meaning it's not the best.

  • We shall see. I'm giving it the same test.

  • why on 9min video plz make like 30miniute

  • Do you think you could make a 30 minute video reviewing Internet Explorer 8?

Also. He did what he always does. (Test's 10 malicious URL's)

  • lol

  • Well I'm not gonna use IE8 It's slower then firefox. But thats what I think. :P

  • wow this makes me trust IE8 more, and now I want to get it for my family, thanks!, by the way are you going to make a video about Chrome?

  • Firefox and Chrome will get the same tests this week.

  • I can't wait!

  • Great video Matt. Thanks !

  • Thank you sir!

  • I was downloading something really okay and Windows Defender actually found a virus that Avira didnt find first. Weird huh?

  • Yup, that is weird.

  • where do you download IE8? do you recomed i get it? does it come with smartscreen?

  • Firefox is still better

  • Dude your right. I think he uses Camtasia. im not sure though lol

  • yeah he uses Camtasia, he posted that a while ago, i don't remember where, but yeah!

  • Yes he does use Camtasia!

  • It's because I'm a partner...Youtube makes it clear.

  • IE has really improved. Great video!

  • Thanks!

  • NSS Labs study, claims that Internet Explorer 8 leads in malware protection!Microsoft Internet Explorer 8 achieved 69% block rate

Mozilla Firefox v3.07 achieved just over 30% block rate

Apple Safari v3 achieved 24% block rate

Google Chrome 1.0.154 achieved 16% block rate

Opera 9.64 achieved 5% block rate

Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 achieved 4% block rate

  • who what what study?

    URL or it didnt happen.

  • it's was in the news all over the place last week.

  • Ie looks half way good.

  • Yeah, big upgrade.

  • great video man, would you recommend IE8 over Firefox 3? And does IE8 come with smartscreen when you download it?

  • Smartscreen filter comes with IE8 it is one of it's features.

  • Not sure yet. I have to give the same test firefox and chrome this week....we'll see.

  • ok, thanks for replying

  • Great review matt, Would you recommend GesWall or Sandboxie with the smart filter?

  • Sandboxie forever

  • I'm pretty happy with either actually.

  • wow smart secucurity is really good at first i thought it was like useless but after i saw the review i was like woah

  • Yeah, SmartScreen is huge much needed improvement in IE.

  • NICE!

  • thanks!
