can it beat the Infinity Browser's Website Scanner? Lol, I made the Infinity Browser to be the most secure browser ever, I use it myself... Internet Explorer 8 looks promising though...
Hey this is my comment about you comment. It is true what you said OK. THese are famouse (Sort of) operating systems that do not have as much virous. Mac OS X Snowlepard and Linux. Lunux is free download.
Ever since I put a spell checker add on to my Internet explorer, IE likes to open new tabs when I browse Web addresses. I just want the original tab to change like it use to, and still have the option of opening a new tab when I want to. Anyone have any ideas plz help.
Matt im surprised you like internet explorer even IE8 is an unsecure browser .the fact it is targetted so much microsoft can never really stay on top of it its too risky for me.
I will stick with Firefox and make use of all the neat security add ons to make firefox even safer.
IE 8 is the most secure browser now. I don't see how "add-ons" would help, since the more plug-ins you have, the more vulnerable you are... The only reason why it's targetted more is because most people own this browser... but I'm glad to say that Microsoft finally got IE right with IE 8
even though im chinese i gotta agree russian chinse hackers always trying to get the US.. im in NYC a this chinse company tried to infected me.. but my kaspersky blocked it
i also have internet explorer 8 and ur righ, i checked that yourguardpro thingand yep that message came up. totally fake, then i kliked disregard and download anyway, just to check my antivirus software, and good old avg came straight away and got rid of it.
i dont get why people use internet explorer, i mean SmartScreen? ok but Firefox is still the safest browser since it scans for viruses and has WOT which is 1337.
i know its not the safest browser anymore, but IE isn't either, i have noticed Google Chrome has a better malware prevention system as it monitors millions more sites than any other browser.
It would be good if Internet Explorer coulkd block the Malicious Rootkit and exploited websites as well!
Also it would be good if no-one would ever get infected with any Malware by using a product like this ever again!
Also it would be a good idea if Microsoft added in with the Smartscreen filter some of the 3rd party Virus Signatures from companies like Norton, McAfee or Kaspersky although that is reall for the Antivirus to deal with Isn't it?
IE in Vista is really great since Vista runs on restricted privileges by default. Also, IE 7 and on has a sandbox like "protected mode" that further restricts privileges. But yeah, Firefox has way more addons than IE.
That's not a real test. What ordinary user would close the ActiveX info bar when IE asks if it's OK to run some scripts? It's almost like the dialog that says "running executable files can harm your computer".
Internet Explorer 8 Smartscreen filter ca also block websites before they do downloads as the video of IE8 shows on the Microsoft IE8 Website and i have found this feature to be useful as well as once I had IE8 Installed I accidently trumbled accross a reported dangerous Website and it told me the website could harm my computer and it blocked the website before it could access my computer! I think it catches those hidden.PHP Strikes!
Man AVira dissapointed me.I put my stick in the usb and said that is a virus(woot) and then I got attentioned that a file form windows is infected as well(wtf).Didn't had this problem before with the stick,I think that i was a false alarm.I installed Pc Tools Av and found some viruses+spyware with mbam.Where the hell have I got those from....I use windows firewall, did the malware broke my firewall?
You should see Window7 Firewall, it's oddly, pretty good, compared to the older window Firewalls, It blocks about 60%, witch is good for it coming with windows and free, is Good.
:) surpisingly look good but microsoft WLOC only got 87.1%detection rate(only beat china brand-kingsoft) according to av-comparatives test but at least now, IE8 will block redirect, add-on & even try to warn u its a known virus/malware after u click run...
on a low end computer, opera would be recommendable. on an average home/work computer chrome would be best. on a high end gaming computer, theres no difference
Interesting .... I typed in three of the sites he's got in his list and I never got squat. IE brought me to search results.
Guess I'm still not impressed with IE. I'll stay with Firefox.
