@zakksucksdick Zakk does not suck dick, you suck dick. Dimebag was not only the greatest metal guitarists to ever walk the earth, but he was also a great person. You are just a cranky little fuck tard with nothing better to do then to do then to make fun of a great person that you could only dream of being. Go fuck your self.
@dugrey91 Your right, I dream of being a guy nicknamed "dimebag". I want to be known for smoking pot, playing shitty guitar riffs, and have redundant solo licks. I also want to be liked by the rednecks of society and forget what a haircut is. Yeah, thats a pretty cool dream to have I guess.
@zakksucksdick You can talk shit about Dimebag, and Zakk Wylde for that matter all you want. But the fact of the matter is that they are both legends, and they're more humble then a Taco Bell employee. Make fun of the guy who was murdered on stage all you want if it makes you feel like a bigger man, but you'll never all ways be an insecure little waste of humanity. I'm done talking to you.
And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: Have u lied? Have u stolen? Jesus said if you look at a women with lust you have committed adultery with here in your heart? If God judges u by the Ten Commandments will u be innocent or guilty? except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Ive heard of pantera, but ive never really listened to their music. i grew up listening to rock n metal of 60s 70s 80s. Watching this video brought alot of sadness and as i type this i cant help holding back the tears. Dime was murdered very similar to how my rock idol was. Unexpected and not knowing exactly why! I read that Dime's murderer was an upset fan who was devestaded because of Panteras breakup. My idol was taken from us by a lunatic fan too. And my idol, who i speak of is JOHN LENNON
i did not get the pleasure of listenin to pantera at the prime....i only got to know them a year or two after dime's death but they got me thru really hard times and kept me doin stupid shit....they say metal is for the devil.....addiction is for the devil....and pantera kept me from doin that....Dime's guitar playin inspired me to pick up a guitar.....cause i feel at ease...and close to him when i play....R.I.P Dimebag Darrell Abbott 1966 - 2004 your memory will never be forgotten brother
. I AM TRYING NOT TO CRY OF THINKING ABOUT THE FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF DIME AND THE REST OF THE LOVE ONES WHO WERE KILLED THAT DAY..3 OTHERS YOU GUYS WILL BE IN OUR HEARTS ASWHILE.
I STILL REMEMBER THAT DAY IN HISTORY I NEVER KNEW HIM PERSONNALLY BUT I DO FEEL THE PAIN THAT SOMEONE COULD HAVE ON A CLOSE BROTHER -- HIS MUSIC WILL LIVE ON IN OUR HEARTS I TRUELY BELIEVE THE REST OF THE BAND SHOULD COME TOGETHER FOR A 10 YEAR REUNION I BELIEVE DIME WILL WANT THAT TO HAPPEN .
I saw that this had 333 comments and I was hesitant to post something, but I have to say, this brought me to tears, and I cant believe how much harder it will be to go down there in a week (leaving from philly) to pay my respects.I am only 15 but Dime and everything he stood for, every inch of his being has changed my life. Much love to you. SDMF
@dannyd1572 You can't blame the music for what unstable people do.
Nathan Gale, who killed Dime, Nathan Bray, Erin Halk & Bodyguard Mayhem was a very Disturbed person.
If you want to blame anyone, Blame these piece of shit Rock Magazines that take things out of Context and make things sound worse than what was actually said to create Controversy to sell there issues and some people believe this garbage.
Phil is to blame for all this because of his comments when he was a Heroin Addict.
@rangerc310 Well then it was the Heroin speaking and not Phil. Ever since Dimebags funeral I pray Vinnie and Phil will move forward from their differences and let Dimebag's soul rest in peace. Truely I know Dimebag is looking down on the two of them right now waiting for them to get over all the bullshit.
@ACY421 Good for you Brother, Some people just don't get it, they don't Understand what his music meant to alot of us, And that's what made us want to find out who Dimebag Truly was as a human being.
We are all better off for Knowing Dime, Wether it was seeing him in Concert, Meeting him at a Signing or getting to meet & hang out with him and his Brother and the rest of his band mates and road crew.
Don't give these ass holes the time & don't waste your time even commenting back to ass holes.
touching video... brought a tear to my eye...I will make my way down to pay my respects, have a drink and play a song for dime... will make my way out of Hamilton Ontario Canada one of these days... definately my top thing to do in my life... Getcha mother fuckin pull ... RIP Borther / Friend / my inspiration Dimebag Darrell Lance Abbott 1966-2004.....
I never knew Dime personally but I knew him through his music and his personality. It's been 6 years now and the pain still hasn't eased a single bit. Am hoping to pay my respects there next year, gonna be travelling from London, England to Texas to stay with a friend and we're gonna make a road trip just to see Dime. Rest in eternal Peace brother, until we meet on the other side.
No offense to you guys, I think its cool that you paid your respects to the legend, but dime would have wanted you guys to be there piss drunk and stoned out of your brain! I'm sure he would be more than pleased with you all shit faced drunk pissing on his grave vs being polite and tearful. It's still cool with what you did! nice video. Long live Dime
its sad to see his grave on youtube. seeing that i lived with dime and go to his grave every weekend. i remember when i would get up in the morning and would walk down stairs and he would be there at the table with his coffee and guitar, always with 5 pancakes he had just freshly made for me. then we would go to the beach together on sunday with our dogs. R.I.P Dime i will always miss the feel of your warm breath on the back of my neck when we used to sleep over at phil's house.. :(
hough515 i know how you think about it. But i just want to say its Dimebag he would welcome any metalheads to his grave and enjoy it. Dime is one of my main influences and even if i never met him doesnt mean i cant pay my respects cause i know Dime would be proud. Im only 16 but i listen to his music and Pantera is the greatest metal band of all time none of them deserve to die.
I can sit here and watch this videos and let all the Pantera songs play in my head. What a great man. He touched alot of People and gave them something to live for.
@maceek1 I knew Dimebag, Everytime they came to Philadelphia, they would visit certain clubs that I was a bouncer at, So I got to them all at Various Times during there Carer.
Dime was one of the most down to earth guys & it was my Honor to hang with him when ever they came to Philadelphia, PA.
That's cool, man. I'm actually attending a 14-month trade school in Colorado at the beginning of December and, sometime in that 14-months, me and a buddy of mine are gonna road trip to Texas to see him.

I think when (not if) we take back this nation, we make a dime with (you know who) on the face and his guitar on the back...any takers?
Dime..we miss ya, we love ya, you lived the way many of us wish we had. You were one of a kind and everyone knew it....I will be at your concert front row ...up there.....with everyone that ever went to see ya, loved ya, drank with ya, and just plain wanted ta be ya!!! you were,,,,,are a natural and this place is a little lonelier without you. Say hello to Bonn
@airjamin8tor I'll sign that petition! We could make an Ace Frehley nickel or quarter too... and a Jimi Hendrix 50 cent piece... and a .... you get the point- :)
@dfwsupergeek I would love to see Rita and Dimes Estate contact the Franklin Mint to Create a Rock & Roll Memorial coins with of course Dimebag Darrell Abbott, Randy Rhodes, Ronnie James Dio, John Bonham,Keith Moon, ect..... you get the idea.
Make a holder, just like they did with the new Quarters, and call it "THE WALL OF ROCK & METAL"
It disturbs me the extent that people admire a person that they have never met. This is in no way bashing Dime, he played a nasty guitar for one of the best Metal bands ever. Past his kind heart and his obvious fame, what is it that causes someone to cry and feel like they lost someone so important. I just find that kind of weird.
I can understand you thoughts on that issue, but I did know Dime & Met him 5 times, whenever he would come to Philadelphia, I would see him & his Brother Vinnie.
I am a private Body Guard & Would always hang with them at Certain Clubs in Philadelphia when they had a day off.
@hough515 He did know him but i could understand why someone would visit his grave and cry if they didnt. Dimebag was/is an inspiration to alot of people...alot of kids! Teenagers idolized him....he was a hero in some people eyes.....you wouldnt cry if u were at the grave of your hero?
@hough515 every one that loves metal DID loose someone extreamly important the day that Dime died. no one will ever beable to see him play his guitar again and that to me is worth crying over.
@hough515 because the beautiful music he made touched millions of people. i hear that guitar i can hear him, his soul in his playing. it is more than just music to some people like me. i felt like i knew him through his music. i cant really put it in to words how it feels. thats what makes a good artist, he could connect to his fans through his playing. if u dont already get it you might not ever.
r.i.p brother even though we never met face to face, i still miss you
Sucks ass I never got to meet the man but I have met several people who have and said he was the kindest man you would ever meet!! I talked to a dude that couldnt get into see a show and dime just happened to be around the corner and payed for the dude to get in NOW THATS THE SHIT R.I.P Dime
Going to Dimebag's grave is just a dream for me right now. I'm only 13. I wish I met him before the fucking nutcase killed him. He should have been locked up at the sanitarium, that stupid Nathan kid. R.I.P. Dime.
Man, what kind of band does Dime has in heaven!? I guess this line-up could be true: Dimebag - Lead Guitar, Jimi Hendrix - Rhythm Guitar, Cliff Burton - Bass Guitar, Keith Moon - Drums and on vocals Bon Scott!!! Rock on forever Dimebag!!!
thanks for posting this brother...i always wanted to see his final resting place...i promise myself ill take a trip one of these days and see him...god bless his soul and thank you for his music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone saying this was disrepectfull needs to shut it. These guys wouldn't go to see Dime if the didn't love his playing and the man himself! And besides I'm sure Dime loves to get a visit! And one more thing, where is this? I would really like to go see Dime myself! This summer i'll be visiting Ljungby Sweden to pay my respect to Clifford Lee Burton who was the bass player for Metallica! R.I.P Dime and Cliff!
thank you for posting this. i actually have tears running down my face as I write this. always and forever in our hearts and souls. RIP Brother. tSDMFt
I sent this 2 u but I want youtube 2 see!! Sorry for my drunken comment. I retract everything I said. pls 4give me and keep rockin 4eva. RIP DIME. Sorry im such an asshole. greatest guitar player of ALL TIME
every time im listening to a pantera song, admiring the riffs or licks i always seem to forget that the guy who wrote it isnt around anymore. brings a tear to my eye man
true but dont worry im not bashing dime iv always tried to make light of situations because i swear to you not a day goes by that i dont think bout dime and his death. he is my hero and always will be but come on you no even dime would say that bout his own death and to your comment
in 2003 i just got into pantera you know and i knew they broke up and like every day i was praying that the band members got back together, but then in 2004 the fucking worse day ever happened
A guy like Dime is 1 in a billion. This makes me so sad. But hes making some other people happy elsewhere. Heavy Metal will NEVER be the same. They were my favorite band and always will be. my fave guitarist and always will be. I can just imagine Hendrix sayin, "wtf is a blacktooth?"
Its amazing how Dime could create such viscious, angry, and above all HEAVY music, when he was such a great person who reminds me a lot of me in the sense that he loved being loved...he was a sweet dude, but he could rock as hard as anyone, RIP Dime, see u in heaven dude...we miss u here on earth
I am totally choked up from watching this. I had always wished to meet him. It is a damn shame that it will have to be like this rather than over some Blacktooth.
Feeling like I knew him, I really miss his kindness, talent, and amazing personality. Dime Forever!
Dime was a very kind and giving soul, he would buy guitars for kids who has a true love for music, but couldn't afford to buy one, so he would buy kids
i live in dallas and was able to go with a friend who is also a huge pantera fan, on new years eve. We saw a bunch of confety, showing how people were partying just days before. to be honest, I was happy to go, but had chills down my back the whole entire time. being there, seemed as if I could feel his presence. I'm agnostic, but still was just overwhelming and afterwards couldn't believe I visited, rip brother.
RIP brother... Never had the honor of meeting you, but you have inspired me to pick up THE ART OF SHREDDING!!! Love you man, miss you always. I'll come by and pay my respects the first chance I ever get.
i always liked pantera. but until all of this i never really knew the depth of compassion and love that one person could have for so many people. and how many people will return it.
I never met the legend of a man/musician/person...but his music lived through me for so many of my formative years...I almost cry every time I see anything to do with Dime. this is heart-wrenching. I'm a tough guy...but I don't mind crying for Dime.I attribute my drumming skills to his Massive Guitar riffs, as he was a very wicked guitarist to follow being a drummer in my formative years over 20 years ago. Thank you, Dime for your SELF-LESS contributions to Music, and Mankind in general. R.I.P.!
Was ther 2 months after the dreaded date, the feeling that overcame me was unfathomable, so much energy I felt arise from the earth right here, and how many legends stood on that same plot of earth to pay their respects to the God of Metal guitarist Dime. We miss ya bro.
....tourists. I'm from Arlington, I've been there, smoked a doob there, cried there. It's sad, really. His grave is gonna be another Jim Morrison type thing. That's not respect.
dimebag darrell is my favorite guitarist ever he was AWESOME go see some videos infact go search dimebag guitar clinic he plays AMAZING guitar. he started pantera and was in damageplan after pantera. go check out some vids of him i guarntee you will be amazed
Not to be too pickey, but maybe a better tribute would be cleaning up after yourselves when you party at the man's grave? Leaving a couple Busch light beer cans and a few lighters doesn't really convey much...except a mess. Leaving a full bottle of whiskey, well, at least that's a sacrifice of some sort. I dunno, I guess this whole thing just makes me ill. I hate the fact that whackjobs take out our heroes. RIP.
y do yall all call him dime i mean i know that like that was his nickname but he was like my 2nd dad and took care of me wen i needed him to if he wasnt busy so im used to calling him uncle darrell
I think about him everyday. It is beyond me why someone would want to take the life of a man with such a good heart. Thanks for posting this video. Made me cry again. I miss ya brother, Dime. God Bless You.
He Was One Of My Heros Ever Since I Was Old Enough to Walk. I Just Really Want To Know Why It Had To Be Dime. Or Any Of The Other People Who Died That Night. He Was Such A Kind Soul, And Never Deserved Any Of This. And He Inspired Me To Play Guitar. Why Dime? Why?
lets go visit a corpse! sounds like a great idea! i love dime, but why in the hell go talk to a dead body? thats just morbid lol!

These videos are hilarious. Why would anyone videotape themselves visiting a piece of shit? And write a poem about him? And have never met the fag? Damn, pantera fans sure are messed up dead beats.

TJ42O 1 year ago
@hough515 every one that loves metal DID loose someone extreamly important the day that Dime died. no one will ever beable to see him play his guitar again and that to me is worth crying over.
kjergaard420 1 year ago
@hough515 because the beautiful music he made touched millions of people. i hear that guitar i can hear him, his soul in his playing. it is more than just music to some people like me. i felt like i knew him through his music. i cant really put it in to words how it feels. thats what makes a good artist, he could connect to his fans through his playing. if u dont already get it you might not ever.

The only reason I moved some of the dimes was so everyone could read the writing on his Plaque.
Plus it's nice to make sure dimes resting place is neat and clean.
He deserves that from his fans.

And everytime I think about the fact that he's dead i cry.
I've never experienced a person like him.
I never knew him of course but just seeing him in videos puts a smile on my face, there's something about him that NOBODY else has..

I am totally choked up from watching this. I had always wished to meet him. It is a damn shame that it will have to be like this rather than over some Blacktooth.
Feeling like I knew him, I really miss his kindness, talent, and amazing personality. Dime Forever!
Miss you brother!

Dime was a very kind and giving soul, he would buy guitars for kids who has a true love for music, but couldn't afford to buy one, so he would buy kids
guitars and make it seem like the
parents bought it.
He never asked for the recognition, he did it out
of the kindness of his heart.

i live in dallas and was able to go with a friend who is also a huge pantera fan, on new years eve.

I am an atheist, but visiting
Dime & his mother sent
a chill down my spine as well.
I also went to Campo Verde and they have amazing food, I see why Dime loved that resturaunt.
I am considering moving to Texas because the music scene is better than up here is PA.
Thank you for the kind words.

I'm a tough guy...but I don't mind crying for Dime.I attribute my drumming skills to his Massive Guitar riffs, as he was a very wicked guitarist to follow being a drummer in my formative years over 20 years ago. RIP.
