I forgot to mention that Transit TV also in the past had played inappropriate things in the past, other things. But no matter what, the Transit TV's are annoying, loud and boring. Then Metro wonders why ridership is declining on the buses for these past years.

At least not all Metro buses have Transit TV monitors for now.

Fact of the matter is, I bought a car in December 2008 as I was sick of MTA and their constant bull from being late all the time, to the drivers' real ghetto "I don't care" attitude, and just all the other crap I had to deal with every day... The only thing I do miss, is being able to read the news and all my feeds and blogs I used to be able to catch up with to/from work every day...

Transit TV is produced by a Latino group and it is a racist and biased production. More than 60% of the programing is in Spanish. One program in particular even bears a racist name! "Raza De Champions" or Race of Champions! I am offended by transit TV! @icemohawk I agree with you, Metro needs to take down these Transit TV. I rather pay more higher fares then hear these annoying things. I just want to get through peaceful and quiet ride without harassment by Transit TV. At least other Transit Agencies in LA and california don't use them at all, however San Diego MTS was gonna use them after signing a contract with them but they didn't due to the fact they shut down at that time but later TTV came back but only to L.A Market.

The Transit TV isn't costing you a penny because it is provided to Metro for free. It is non-profit.

@qwandiddy Also don't forget, Chicago PACE's Orion I buses didn't get Transit TV monitors installed either. I'm glad the Orion I and 1996 NOVABus Classics never got them installed. It's too bad the other fleet has them, except for the newer buses from 2009- and so on, consider Transit TV has NOT came back to Chicago market ever since 2009 bankruptcy (which they were out) in which Transit Tv came out of and came back only to market in LA after being brought by Tezo System.

@qwandiddy BTW LYNX-Central Florida Regional Transit Authority (Orlando, FL), MARTA (Atalanta,Georgia), and Milwaukee County Transit System (Milwaukee, WI) had Transit TV services until 2009 when they went through temporary shut down and when the Transit TV came back, then they went only into LA Market. At least the Transit TV are off in the other cities where Transit Agencies use them but only because didn't come back, but they will if they meet their marketing goals. I hope not.

@45localbus I'm glad that PACE discontinued those TVs. It was so annoying and too distraction that causes passengers to miss their destination stop. I always been got annoyed by them, one day I almost hurried and got off the bus at the wrong destination after It played that most annoying boring commercial of Everess College with that crazy guy saying "You sit in there watching TV and you let it pass you by" , I really couldn't take it no more. So I'm glad those TVs were disabled.

@qwandiddy Actually Transit TV isn't in the Chicago market, PACE didn't discontinued these. But yes, I do agree PACE needs to remove the Transit TV monitors from any bus that has them. I do remember when Torstars shut down Transit TV in early 2009 but in the summer, it was brought by Tezo System but only came back to Los Angeles market. Better be lucky there not back at Chicago or other cities I mentioned, but they might come back if TTV meets their marketing goals but I hope NOT.

@qwandiddy But yes...the Transit TV montiors for Chicago PACE buses and few other Transit agencies like LYNX, MARTA, and MCTS have them off since Transit TV isn't maintaining the monitors due to the fact they didn't came back to those Transit Agencies in those other cities. I even contact these TA's to have Transit TV monitors removed and got reply from two agencies, MCTS told me it would cost funds to do it and they have no plans using TTV.
