I'm actually really surprised the Octopous had the courage, nay, THE TEMERITY, to attack! When i was in Majorca, i was snorkeling, and came face to face with one, and we both were all "WTF?! *Inks/poos self* :p

Hehe. They have quite a range of character - from my experience - so you could come across one that would flee at the sight of you and another that would try and have your flipper. On one dive I had one follow me for 10 minutes before I lost track of it.

Lol.  There isn't much you can usually do to get them off. You just have to wait for them to get bored and leave, or give in and let them take it. Fortunately this one was called away by its mum lol
