i made a track called Michael Jordan's Moustache (Craig Ehlo's Revenge). I figure with a name like ehlomint, you might enjoy the humor. I remember Kenny Walker rocking the dunk contest; and Daugherty with some gnarly post moves. respect.
WOw ehlo did have a great career two game winners and Jordan is great but ehlo had a sprain ankle when jordan made the shot people don't know that they only see what they see on tv and media
@devon8trillionaire It was said like 20 times during the game that he was playing on an injured ankle. He also hit a 3 in the last minute and the 2-point lay-up with 3 seconds left to go up by one. Nothing else he could do on the last shot, he contested it the best he could. I'm sure many teams would love to have a guy like Ehlo on their roster today.
Craig Ehlo is like the Michael Jordan against Utah.
Michael beat the Cavs thrice with his 3 shots (there is a shot part 3 when he is in Washington) vs Cleveland and Craig owned the Jazz with those 2 three-pointers.
Sad thing is that Ehlo defended the shot about as well as you could humanly ask someone to. He should only be dogged about it if he were being lazy or boneheaded during that play.
I just don't get basketball fans sometimes. "Hahaha, you played good D, but since that Hall of Famer made the shot in your face, then you suck!" Sick to imagine that if Ehlo didn't even try to play defense, he wouldn't be such an infamous character in NBA history.
Macsportstalk is so mint...I wonder of his true identity---methinks he might be the 2nd best Ehlo fan, as I am both 1st and 3rd in perpituity...Ehlo was what was right and good about the NBA---the anti-LeBron, Mr. Dufresene if you please
Anyone that does not recognize Ehlo's unique form of greatness has no clue about the game of basketball. Any team would LOVE to have a player like Ehlo on it...a guy that works hard on defense, hits the three and NEVER gives up on a play (see the Dominique highlight). Craig Ehlo is one of the most under-appreciated player in NBA history.
Was Ehlo like Cleveland's John Starks? I grew up a Knicks fan who loved Starks and the crazy plays he made that energized the crowd, even if he wasn't consistent enough to be a star player/HOFer. This is a very impressive top ten here for Ehlo that makes me wonder if he was Cleveland's small-town lesser known equivalent of Starks, who had the advantage (in terms of exposure) of playing in the big apple. They seem kind of similar here and now I wonder who was better.
Man, Richfield Coliseum was rocking, I was at the 2nd Jordan Shot over Gerald Wilkins and company, talk about people wanting to kill each other when they got to the parking lot!! lol I remember running to our car holding my mom's hand and f-bombs and people kicking and beating their cars haha great time.
I am pretty sure it was Feb. 13, 1993, a regular season game. I was watching the game live when he hit that half court shot. We won that game and Ehlo had 6 3's in the game. Glad I could help.
Has anybody seen the 93 season nba action where on the NBA Encore where the whole screen is in blue and you see derick coleman going for a layup and got block my a white guy?The white guy is Ehlo!!But i want a clearer and firm confirmation if it was really him. Can anybody tell me if it is him?If it is then i want to laugh at DC hahaha because Ehlo hahaha
@mosesgoblue90 Actually it was a double team on Jordan with Larry Nance and Craig Ehlo, two of Cavs best defenders at that time. Sellers has it on inbound. Larry Nance was left in the dust leaving Jordan against Ehlo. And you know whats next. The SHOT....
Great video, anyone dismissing Craig Ehlo has clearly never seen him play. The man played solid defense, would hustle his butt off, and could shoot the lights out.
Would it be possible to make a Ehlo "defense" video?
Displaying his fundamentally sound and hard nosed defense.
Today's fans dismiss him as a slow white boy, with no athletic abilities, so surely he must be a horrible defender. Today's fans need to know that there's more to defense than just athleticism.
Thanks for posting a great vid. I always thought Ehlo was just a victim of Michael Jordan. I didn't even know he made such remarkable buzzer beaters in his career and he seemed to be a very productive player for Cavs.
I was there for #1 with my dad; I was probably 11 or 12 at the time. I grew up in Akron and always felt that the Cavs were our team more than any other franchise. Ehlo lived in Fairlawn so some of my friends used to see him around. Glad to see some Cavs footage from when I was a kid!
Poor Ehlo made that awesome layup in Play #3 but we all know what happened after that: "in bounds pass to Jordan, Jordan at the foul line shot on Ehlo....GOOD BULLS WIN! THEY WIN IT!"....also Clip #2...that shot was late it never shouldve counted, the shot in Clip #1 was real close but it was good from what I saw...also i can't believe Ehlo blocked Dominique Wilkins on a dunk...the Cavs were so freakin talented in the late 80's/early 90's...Price, Doherty, Ehlo, Nance, Hot Rod Williams...amazing
Everybody knows what happened against the Bulls. It doesnt change the fact that he still made a great play moments earlier. Also, in Clip 2, the shot did count so arguing it is pointless.....quit hating on Ehlo, he was a great shooter.
At 0:17 did he say "up on their feets cheering":???? wtf man lol feets? Craig Ehlo's status in NBA history changed dramatically in 5 seconds...he made the game winning shot only to have Jordan shoot in his eye on the other end after a timeout to actually win the game...
1. Ehlomint made this video himself while using NBATV graphics.
3. This game was played just before Christmas. Joe Tait was asked about the meaning behind his call, and said that he doesn't even know, it just came out.
HEY/..... poster ARe you CRAIG EHLO... becuase I think u are... Cause nobody else in the world....wait sorry.... in the universe cares about anything positive in Craig Ehlos carrer... The BUM.... and yes Dominique wilkens for Craig Ehlo was the worst thing since since since.... The trade between Dpminique and Craig Ehlo.... Yes i hate you
You notice Lenny Wilkens is nowhere to be found. He was thrown out after the kiss-ass treatment the refs were giving Jordan earlier on. The Cavs made a huge comeback and Ehlo's shot (in Jordan's face mind you) capped it off. This game ended up going into overtime, where the Cavs eventually lost.
I remember #5(Ehlo's game tying 3) very well. That was on March 28, 1990. I was there and it was my 9th birthday. Ehlo's shot was certainly the highlight of the day for me. But if you weren't a Cavs fan, you certainly wouldn't even recall Ehlo's shot the slightest bit. That's because this game also included a 69 point performance by a certain individual.
Poor Craig Ehlo. Despite a semi-illustrious career for Cleveland, he will forever be remembered as the guy who was on the receiving end on one of Jordan's spectacular moments. Not a way I would like to conclude my basketball career.
Agreed. I remember listening to this game on the radio because it wasn't on local tv. It's one of my greatest Cavs memories because Joe Tait made it sound like I was watching Ehlo's shot. It's a shame how Ehlo's career dwindles down by many to one defensive play against the greatest athlete ever. The dude jumps higher than Ehlo, so what???!! Haha.
LOL Ehlo OWNING the Jazz TWICE ;-)
