that takes SKILL all of you bashing em, Most would pull the rod to set the hook without feeling the fish first when it comes to the surface, i had this happen to me in KY lake at a tournament, I got excited and learned to wait until you feel the fish has the hooks in his mouth, the spit'n image i was using jump about 3 ft towards me in the boat, i was lucky another large bass came up and grabbed it after the first (smaller) bass attempted to eat it. nice catch

I'm guessing that's an older heddon dying flutter. My stepdad had a a huge strike from an at least 8-10 pound bass. it jumped out of the water and spit his hook. We both wished we had landed that fish.

not neccasarily (sp?) when it is hot outside but when the water is hot, calm, and usually at sunrise or sunset. (and if the bass are hungry thats always a + )

their is a new lure called a Rapala skitter prop that is just like the devil horse, I like the shad color.

My mother, my little 13 year old brother and I went Bass Fishing down in Choke Canyon, South Texas on this teeny aluinum boat and he caught a monster 13 1/2 Monster Largemouth, we couldn't believe it. It was the best fishing trip we ever had.

Topwater lures never worked for me, i used a crankbait as a surface lure one time and something nipped at it, but it threw the hook.

i love to get out on the lake early when the fog is rising off the water and it looks like a huge mirror. cast out and you know its going to happen then boom!!! there is nothing better in this world than that feeling. god i cant wait till spring!!!

they normally spawn during spring break if ur in school still....but when the water get around 60 degrees F the males will come up into shollow water n mate
