  • great song

  • The Blue Swede is BJORN SKIFS! Hasselhoff was still in his diapers at the time!

  • David Tennant has the most gorgeous smile I've ever seen.

  • this song is done by dr hook.blue swede only does covers of other peoples songs.

  • hooka hooka hooka chaca

  • BJ Thomas did the first.....Blue Swede kicked it up a notch! Don't care what David Hasselhoff did!

  • go for 150,000

  • me and my bff made a video to this song

  • this is amazing. if i was going to be gay with anyone it would be david tennant.

  • I always liked this song- done by BJ and Blue Swede.

You did a great job liking it to Dr. Who!!

  • This version is by Dr who

  • This verion is by Dr who

  • Omg awesome video i love doctor who especially when the doctor was david tennant and i love this song well done! try and make more!!! :D

  • String instruments, all kinds of brass, just good music. So much better than todays BS.

  • @Vindicator58 Yes, your right. The music business once required music and musicians; it kept the pretenders out. Artists who "made it" had still gotten lucky, but they had legitimate talent. MTV was the beginning of the end. Disney is doing a bad job too. Music is all about looks now, not sound.

  • @nikogizlas hahahahahaha the newest and cheapest version you must be einstein

  • I MISS THAT DOCTOR!!! her was the best

  • Great Job.... this is my favorite version of this song and i love love love when David smiles!

  • Freak' n Awesome!!!!! Thanks!

  • Saddly this fits very VERY well

  • @nikogizlas björn skifs sweden

  • love it!~@!!!!!

  • the ooga ooga ooga chukka ruins the entire song. this version is absolute SHIT!

  • yeah.... hassholf better too

  • DAVID DOES IT BETTER, NGL.

  • This song going to be stuck in my head all night. I hate this song. (LOL) Love the Doctor though!

  • Blue Swede, this is the best version. I was a dj and got fired and said fuck you on the air and played this LOL

  • hahahhaa Oh love doctor who ♥

    and the sing :D

  • The artist like it says in the description is Blue Swede. But the song was originally written for B.J Thomas in '68 then the chant was added in '71 by Johnathan King, then successfully covered by Blue Swede,(this version) in '74 this being the one that everyone remembers. Hasselhoff (wrecked) covered the song in '97.

  • THIS IS THE BEST thank u!

  • Good choice for a mash-up! Awsome!

  • @nikogizlas Blue Swede did the song long before David Hasselhoff

  • @TeikaChikata ha! belgisch nu snap ik het

  • @TeikaChikata Yup. The Hoff never did anything worth listening to, unless you lived in Germany when he was popular there...(Still Popular there?)

  • Though I havent covered most of Dr Who, I think Rose was perfect for him. A soulmate.

  • Thanks for this sweet post !

  • david tennant has such an infectious smile!! i smiled throughout the whole clip...really gonna miss seeing him on dr who. thanks for sharing =]

  • i also love that its a swedish song:D SWEDEN ROCKS:D<33

  • i think he is so cute:) david tennant<3

  • How did you manage to get the video for this vid, and how did you seperate it from the sound? I'm just trying to figure out how so I might be able to do this sort of thing in the future.

  • I'm not sure if it works.. .but i use windows movie maker.. and it works for me.

  • Yea, I liked the video, but the song is definately annoying. I liked the B.J. Thomas version better. The real problems were it sounded like dome of the words had changed, and i kept yelling "Kill the Ugga-shakka!"

  • i love the ugachaka as the tardis is materialising!

  • Me encanta dddDr. Who y ésta canción. Perfectos.

  • This song is annoying, but love the vid! ^^

  • love this version!

  • this is still B.J. Thomas's version

  • No. This version is by Blue Swede. B.J. Thomas's version is different.

  • Dr. Who is really doing all right. The cute blond keeps falling into his arms throughout the video, and then he nearly gets ravished by the queen-looking lady, as well.

  • You should watch the show! You won't believe how many girls fall for him! (I can think of at leas 6 off the top of my head)

The main blonde is Rose and the King's Consort is Reinette. Out of all the girls that have loved him Rose's love is the only mutual one.

    (Doomsday Exerpt)

    R:"I..I..I love you"

    D:"Quite right too."

*Rose bites her lip smiles through her tears*

D:"And I suppose, if this is the last chance I'll ever have to say it... Rose Tyler,"

    *Doctor disappears*

  • I think I did see the show, though only once (on PBS, I believe).

Is "Rose" the pert little blonde? I thought her name was Billie (or Piper).

And who is Reinette's king? Would he be a fictional contemporary king?

  • Are you sure you didn't see it on BBC or the Sci-Fi Channel?

Rose Tyler is the "pert little blonde". She's played by Billie Piper.

Reinette is the nickname for Madame de Pompadour, Mistress of King Louis XV of France.

  • You're right. I'm now pretty sure that it was the Sci-Fi channel. I will look for it in the future.

The first time I saw this video, a few months back, I thought that Billie was Claire Danes (at first glance).

Did Reinette time-travel into the present? There WAS a Louis XV of France, I believe, but a very long time ago, so Reinette must have time-travelled.

Thanks for the info. I saw where you said you don't care for the song, but doesn't it go well with the video?

  • The song goes extremely well and the video is amazing! Just don't really like the song by itself. Actually The Doctor, Rose, and Mickey (Rose's ex-bf) were the one's traveling in time. It's from the episode, "The Girl in the Fireplace". P.S. If your looking to watch a few episodes they have it here on youtube. Some of the best are: The Empty Child Tooth and Claw The Girl in the Fireplace Blink The Army of Ghosts The Shakespeare Code The Unicorn and the Wasp Journey's End
  • Thanks for the info! I will tune in to "Dr. Who" here on YouTube!

  • Yeah, I have to agree. Actually, I like the song, just not thisn version. I like the B.J. Thomas version better. that's the one I first heard. they changed some words and added that annoying "Ugga-Shakka".

but the video fits pretty well.

  • *Laughs* Yeah, they have really gotten into this Doctor-is-a-ladies-man thing.

Let's see: Rose, Sarah Jane, Reinette, Martha, the Adipose worker, River, Lady Christina...and those are just in seasons 2-4 and the specials I've seen! Jackie even flirted with the ninth doctor in the first episode... for about 5 seconds!

  • @NeopianPikachu

Don't forget Joan, Astrid Peth, Jabe, Lynda, and Cassandra.

  • Yeah... Missed Astrid. How could i have missed Astrid? It's been too long since i've seen the one with Lynda, and my jury is still out on Jabe. Remind me... Who was Joan?

  • oops. I think that should be "Voyage of the Damned".

  • Jabe was the "plant girl" in "The End of the World".

Nurse Joan Redfurn was in "Human Nature" and "Family of Blood." She was the one that the Doctor's human "alias", John Smith fell in love with. It was an episode with Martha.

  • I knew who Jabe was, i was just asking about Joan because I can't remember everything. I ment I wasn't quite sure wheather to put Jabe in that category. I sort of thought that st the time, but I don't really know...

  • Ah, yes, I remember those episodes, very well. I just didn't remember her name...

    Sometimes you forget things.

  • as the Tenth Doctor would say "... Just cause i'm an idiot..." (Voyage of the Damed)

  • You're not an idiot! There were a couple of ones on your list I forgot! ^-^

  • I was joking... Ever seen Voyage of the Damned? He says that at one point.

    Which ones did you forget?

  • Yeah, I did. I just didn't remember that line. I missed the Adipose worker.

  • Actually, He did not flirt with the Adipose worker, she flirted with him. Close enough for Gov.t work.

  • Still don't remember... Have to watch the ep. again. Partners in Crime, correct?

  • Yes. the one with the Adipose, voted (by most people) the cutest monsters in Doctor Who.

  • She gives him her phone number and tells heim "Health and Safety. You be health, I'll be safety."

  • I was talking about me asking about who Joan was. I'm not shure where to put that one, because the Doctor, when that happened, really was not 'himself" at the time, if you catch my drift.

  • Good point. But it was his body.

  • Toche.

  • @onebigdude2009 BJ thomas didn't add the ooga shaka in the song, so it can't be their version

  • @onebigdude2009 No, this is Blue Swede's...

  • One of my relatives Simon Gipps Kent was a character on Dr. Who.

  • ii so lvoe thsi video it so cute and sweet. i so lov ethis song

  • I bet you can sing along to this onex

  • Bloody adore, love, adore, love this!!! Thank you!!

  • this is a great video

  • Sylvester McCoy all the way.

  • Who's the sweet Blonde??? she's a cutie..lol

  • Rose Tyler played by Billie Piper.

  • OONKA SHAKA

  • Great song and video editing!

    EASY 5*****'S!

  • I absolutley loved it!

you can't help but smile through the whole video

  • This song kicks butt....it's slowly becoming famous around geneva ny...and arizona...you can't help but feel good....cya

  • I think this is a good effort. Thanks for taking the time. He's the best Doctor since Tom Baker.

  • what a cornball,i like the song but smily there just wrecks the whole thing, lol

  • Does anyone know who did this version? I actually prefer this to the original.

  • It's in the info about the video. The artist is Blue Swede.

  • written by mark james recorded with b j thomas 1968, a nr1 hit in usa by swedish artist björn skifs wish is who u here in this movie! search for björn skifs on youtube

  • @dwmitch I know that you put this commentary a year back, but the lead singer is named Björn Skift and this is the original song! Not video only song.

  • This vid is awesome on sooooo many levels. Firstly: the song. I'm a massive Ally McBeal fan and I really adore this version of the song and whenever it is played on Ally McBeal it makes me grin :D

Secondly: Doctor Who. My favourite telly show.

Thirdly: Ten/Rose. To date I'm a massive Ten/Rose shipper and I still miss those jolly good old times, which you captured perfectly in this vid. Totally second your comment about Ten's gorgeous smile :D

In total: favving, 5 stars and added to a playlist :D

  • Thank you for all your compliments. They are appreciated.

  • only the swedish will be so creative to think of intro

  • Comment removed

  • ok bear with me cause i'm very tired at the moment but at the begining when it shows the Tardis appearing the "ogga chukahs" sound just like the noise it makes... I may be crazy though...

  • <3 this song!!

  • Very enjoyable! Will watch it for many times more :)

  • feels like it is me, hooked on a feeling, high on believing! =/

  • You got to admit this is the only song that sounds the way this does. The Oonga-shocka is VERY unique. I remember hearing this song a lot back in 4th grade and that was 1973-74.

  • kinda looks like chow yun fat at 1:36 lol

  • Bjorn skifs - hooked on a feeling

  • great song, fantastic video!!!

  • This video is made of "win".

I'm very sad that Tennant won't be returning. It just won't be the same without him.

  • Well he will be doing some more, he needs to die for 11th to take over :P

  • Yea, I liked his Doctor. One of the best since Baker, and actually tied with Baker as my favorite of the Doctors. He was a wonderful actor, was extreme ly funny (he does crazy well!) and could talk extremely fast (must have good recall) But yeah, It definally won't be the same.

  • can you make one with Martha Jones , she`s a fox

  • nice job! more Dr. Who and Rose

  • I agree, too! Please excuse me while I watch it again...

  • I agree

  • Just can't help smiling after this video =]

  • doctor who kicks ass

  • Оригинально!

  • Excellent editing. My gawd, how many hours of Dr. Who did you search through for all these snips? This must have taken you forever to compile. Great job.

  • aww, how i love David's smile.

    :D

  • i lov ethis vidoe it so cute and sweet i so love this song and this show to

  • i can deeply relate to this video

  • Doctor Who is freakin awesome!!!

  • Sorry, "pulvre", is not Dr WHO the boring but me, I wrote Dr WHO instead of Blue Swede (are the singer swedish? That could explain the humour... ) Of course, the actor Dr WHO is VERY good and catchy (?) Still, themaltesebippy vid gave me something more human (not only laughing), the song helps.

  • great movie! ;P

  • It is good. I can see why you know who loves it.

  • he smiles A LOT.

    and so does rose.

  • It's part of my distance with the cover ungachaka, because it's all laughin' and thrill comedy why, Dr Who left very small place to the romantic stuff although that's probably what makes him "fraking awesome" to "pulvre".

  • GREAT choice! Mind if I use this as the FIRST vid to add to my DW fanvid collection?!

  • Not at all. Help yourself. And thanks.

  • The very first clip...where the Dr. walks into a bedroom & Rose turns to him & a smile lights up her face...what ep is that from?

  • That's from the Christmas special The Christmas Invasion. He's walking into Rose's mom's flat. I love that scene.

  • Such a cute scene! They (David & Billie) care for each other a lot, cause those smiles that she gives seem SO genuine! That slow melting smile!!

BTW...what video making service do you use & do you create all your own clips or get them somewhere online?

  • I use Final Cut Pro to edit my videos. I've captured all the episodes from the DVD's to use for the clips. I've filled up my hard drives with all the episodes.

  • Is Billie the blonde co-lead? Who is she when she's not on "Dr. Who"? She's not exactly gorgeous but she's way cute. First time I saw this, I thought she was Claire Danes (Yank actress).

  • Yes, indeed. Billie (Piper) could be mistaken for one of the Olsen twins, eh?

  • No. I'd have one Billie rather than both Olsens. She has some flesh on her bones (which they don't) and doesn't look stoned (which they do).

  • i love it!

  • I loved it. Bigs is a retard. This is awesome.

  • mother fuckers! i want the one that the damn fish sings!

  • Don't curse at me. That's not my problem. Idiot.

  • did i curse at you?

  • Sorry. I guess I misunderstood whom you were calling a m-f.

  • best doctor yet

  • Is there any significance to "oonga oonga oonga shocka?" Maybe it's Swedish for something?

  • This song is a fav of my dad's. Can't wait to show it to him! Creative and light-hearted vid, great debut job; keep up the good work ;)

  • i can deeply relait to this video

  • I could only give this a rating of 4 stars because I was hoping it would be called Who'oked On A Feeling.

  • Blue Swede was a Swedish rock band from the early to mid 1970s that succeeded with a few singles which were covers of other artists' material. The band was originally called "Blåblus" (Swedish for "blue denim shirt") and featured Björn Skifs singing the lead vocals. The band got their international break-through in 1974 with their cover of the 1969 B. J. Thomas song, "Hooked on a Feeling".

  • Thank you for the information. I glad I was right about which band did the song that I used for my music video. I hope this clears up the confusion for anyone watching.

And yes, I am being catty towards other comments that claim I didn't know what version of the song I was using.

  • I love this!

Is is just me or does The Doctor seem so sad this season... I really miss all these fabulous smiles!

  • He's not as sad this season as he was last season. But I'm like you, I really miss his smile. He doesn't smile as often as he did with Rose.

  • It's actually Dr Hook

  • What is Dr Hook?

  • a band,

the band who is singing the version of this song .

  • This version of the song is by Blue Swede (or Suede) with the lead singer Björn Skifs. It was recorded in 1974.

  • blue suede is performing this song. it was originally performed by BJ Thomas. in the seventies. maybe early eighties. Dr. Hoo and the traveling medicine show is popular for "Sylvia's Mother" and "Cover of the Rolling Stone". peace.

  • It isnt Dr Hoo ..

    Its Doctor Hook

    look it up

    " peace "

  • Blue Suede.

Although they spell it wrong on their site, google "Time Life 70's Music Explosion". It's on the Magic set, disc 1, track 12.

    peace out

  • Excellent video :) Doctor Who is the best show ever. David's smile is brilliant, I'm so glad he does it so often, and you have captured so many of them :)

  • this was ok

    not the best but ok

  • Far from it. It's from a British science fiction series called Doctor Who.

  • this show fuckin rocks, though I had never realized just how much he smiled lol. you did a good job with the video btw ^_^

  • Okay first of all if your watching something that you don't know what it is, don't leave a dumb ass comment like that.

You just proved how much of an idiot you are that you would even post a comment like that.

And no, Doctor Who is not a "dumb soap opera" . Doctor Who is the coolest tv show on air. Which has great characters, story lines, and is completely understandable. In short everything that a "dumb soap opera" is not. And I don't even know how you got soap opera out of that video.

  • no this is one of the best scfi show ever

  • I saw this video last summer and I totally fell in love with David Tennant. This is my favourite video, and it is the reason why I signed up on youtube.

Thank you so much for posting this!

  • Oh, I miss Rose! Was that a ghost of her last week or what???

  • this video is AMAZING! I love that guy, he's sexy!

    ~Chrissy

  • He has to be one of the sexiest men alive! Excellent video!

  • He has to be one of the sexiest men alive! Excellent video!

  • Fuckin AWESOME XD !!!!1

  • haha .when i was little i knew this whole song.. HAHA

  • This is by far 100 times better than Hasselhoff's disgraceful version haha!

  • i agree, its nowhere near as good as this

  • Right. He should have stayed on the beach.

  • brilliant video btw... very catchy

  • this song is original for this guys??? or from david duchoffnis??
