I started off with Ram Dass, the first teacher I listened to, bless his beautufiul soul! ... I've listened to everything that Eckhart Tolle has read, and he transformed my reality into peace, light, love. I watched everything on Youtube and beyond by Alan Watts, which shaped, moulded and deepened the ever expanding thirst for more on Reality, including the 'nothingness'. Now it's Terrence, an amazing, beautiful man with a mind opening and culture denying message which is deeply transformative

@cheaptrades hey there. I'd like to point you in the direction of "Be Here Now" by Ram Dass. Often people (like me, like you) can have unconscious prejudice against what we don't understand. In the book I mentioned, among the many topics that are covered, you'll find that Ram Dass speaks specifically about what, and who, a Guru is.

@cheaptrades it's my rather blunt way of saying, what are you talking about? i mean it honestly, and it was meant to catch your attention... i'm on the grounds that i don't see any reason anyone would be so moved to discredit the originality of either of these men's thoughts and thus own personal experiences after watching such a profound/balanced talk between the two. "follower"? you can see the sparkle in their eyes, they're meaning what they're saying and saying what THEY'RE meaning.

McKenna held back here. In his other places, T would destroy the Guru industry with jokes and logic. T was especially critical of the Karma cola industry. Ram Dass just looked uncomfortable around the waiter which says allot. I wish Terence would ask Ram Dass questions such as--"Surely you don't really believe your Guru to be a manifestation of God?" Or, "How does your guru compare to LSD"? I wonder how Ram Dass would hav answered. Also, the waiter was sharp and witty, maybe he's the happy one!

I think if you have a message that you KNOW is true, you must surround it with negative emotions, so that only potential messiahs will learn and be encouraged by you, and no acolytes r created.

because if you're reborn surrounded by light you're character becomes weak.

darkness and isolation is nourishing, strengthening.

stars need space between each other, or they cluster into a black hole.

Fascinating. Terence is awesome, Ram couldn't possibly keep up, he's used to audiences full of yuppys that haven't meditated or taken psychedelics. He holds those beads like a child in fear.

One day the leaders of this great land will discuss human affairs in this way. The great way is not hard for those that have no prefences. Good and bad are the same side of a coin. I really appreciate that the internet allows for me to be able to watch this kind of thing. Mckenna is such a great mind and Alpert, was a facinating other side to a great conversation. The waiter...woh, brilliant surreal fellow.

Terence Mckenna gave the impression that he actually knew what he was talking about. This is rare. Most gurus drag an immense amount of megalomania inside themselves. Like stones this megalomania rattles inside their brains. This rattling betrays their true message whilst they lose themselves to Hindu fluff and quantum idolatry. Smash those idols I say! If Terence wr around today he'll laugh at the New Age gurus selling their wears on YouTube. Here was a Mckenna! When come such another?
