you dont get the lyric? the crux of it is this; a guy is thinking of why galileo might be so obsessed with looking at the stars and the night sky - and the answer is simple and very moving. it wasnt science that caused galileo to wonder about the heavens, it was love.

Josh Groban covered this on his new album, "Illuminations," so I thought I'd come and see the original. As a scientist, I find this song offensive, actually. It seems to imply that it is odd or surprising for a scientist to fall in love, as if we weren't human or something. There is such a broad-based anti-intellectual bias out there. I often feel alienated because of others' hostile reaction to me as a scientist and this just rubs it in.
