  • an hour after uploading this video, I searched around and found the problem, it was that Alex.SpeechVoice found in /System/Library/Speech/Voices was corrupted may after updating to 10.6.5 or may be due to hard disk failure or so, so I used a program called Pacifist and used my Snow Leopard disk that came with my iMac and searched for the Alex.SpeechVoice folder, then deleted the corrupted version that I got and replaced with the new one extracted from the disk using Pacifist. It worked fine!!
