This song reminds me of Club Numbers, Club DV8, and Club 6400. On the radio, these were the words: "House music, on the cutting edge of unreality, Club 6400....we're live on 93Q"
Of course the group was not popular in NYC, hell U2 wasn't either for some time. But the song was an underground classic. Played constantly on WLIR and the clubs.
Love this band, but it was one of my closet bands....I hung out with metal-heads, by choice, but had a sister 3 years older totally into the new wave scene. Now when I play it, peoplw are like, "YEAH, I love that song!"...go figure
Im with my friend patty, her hair is spiked and so is mine, were listening to b.o.l. and looking at her rocky horror collection, she tells me she is individualy sewing by hand gold sequence on her columbia jacket costume piece, 1/2 hour later mom busts me coming back to the basketball game, after having been at her house during the game.
Hey I'm originally from KY. Moving back there was like moving to another planet after Houston. Everyone I knew there were metal heads or old time rock n rollers. Houston was much more fun and interesting, as my older brother and I were both into the new wave scene there.
Wow, you are going back in the day on those clubs. I could pull NRG, 6400, Network, and a little Lizard lounge, but shit I was 16 then. Just happened to know Don Nedler. Ocean Club, now that is about as H-Town old school as it gets. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
so nice, but already forgotten son

BEST bass tempo of any club song, just try not to dance to this song! I saw this group in Tulsa in 1988 in a small club. Awesome show!
