My dream is to do the split and the bridge ,your videos are very helpfull I really need it for my bellydancing hope to order the dvd as soon as i can , thanks!
I agree this is awesome. The dislikes are probably from people who spent hundreds of dollars and didn't even come close to a tenth of the info in this DVD;)
20 dislikes??!!!! Please tell me that they are looking for a punching videos tutorials! Never seen a more in depth kicking training video like this before...
Hi can't wait to get my flexibility like yours :D I can kick really well, easily kick my head height with roundhouse, hook and kinda with a sidekick....BUT...i struggle so badly if i ever had to hold it, i cant even hold it below my chest very well, hurts my gluteus maximus alot :/
Have a look at my Tricking video to see what i mean on my channel :D
Paul i want you to help me ... I do martial arts many years but know i am many years out of training and my flexibility is ridiculous ... I can't kick high and my knees make a sound like '' click '' My splits are very bad now ... I saw your website ... What do you suggest my of your dvds ?
sorry my english is not the best...first respect for your video have seen your kicks looking quite perfect and amazing... how should i start if i am a real amatauer about high kicks ?stretching ? the first days only? to bring the foot on the top? can you give me not a training plan how that i should start learning the kicks ? i would be really thankful... i dont know how to start... after how many days i should switch the exams ? i need your help master PLEASE write a private message
Hi can a lanky person train to do these kicks. i'm 6'5 and 12 stone i don't have good balance or a great centre of gravity. But i weightlift and am very dtrong and in to fitness. I would love to train martial arts but think my physical attributes would hinder me.
@buster560 Hey friend, you asked if tall lanky people can do these kicks, the answer is definitely yes. Don't know if you've heard of Semmy Schilt, a Dutch fighter who trained in karate, kickboxing, and pancrase (plenty of highlights on Youtube). He was 6'11" and 21 stone. Four-time K1 champion and only man to win three times in a row. Thing about Semmy was when he struck with a knee attack, it would already be up to his opponent's face without having to bring their head down! You can do it.
Hi Paul.....................can you tell me what the soundtrack is on your kicking preview clip is from...thanks stuart....kicks are AWESOME!!!! really learnt lots
@Elasticsteel ive just ordered all your kick dvds, ive just started to learn karate so this will help.my main goal is to get flexible. Thanks for taking the time to make these clips.
Is it possible for someone to stretch his legs that much given the fact that he has reached the age of 30 yrs and having no history in leg stretching?? I heard that you can stretch your legs in the young age of below 16...
If it is so then how many times per week you must do the stretching?
1) I practice Aikido (very few kicks) and Capoeira (lots of kicks)
2) my favorite kick is the meia lua de compasso
3) I mike meia lua de compasso for many reasons: here are a few 1) it is one of very few kicks where one isn't balancing entirely on one leg (vulnerable to a takedown or a throw) to launch the kick, as one of both arms are on the ground for support. 2) Your head is very well protected (down and behind your body) as you launch the kick
Looks like a cool video and very in depth. I used to love kicking...now I only practice a few staples since I am getting too damn old. Let all you young wippersnappers do the work.
left foot rule! :) I am no longer into any sport for manny years but i do notice you somehow prefer left foot kicking, i also know its the most powerfull one to most of people, do you have any ideea why? Just askin an expert :). Thanks! Keep up the good work!
This great stuff. I practice karate and I'm majoring in Sports Mgt. - Wellness and Fitness, so this is right up my alley. Understanding kinesiology and scientic approach to movement, awesome. I just bought some BW DVD's(ever heard of Calisthenic Kingz?), so when I get a chance I'll be getting your DVD's. Thanks from an aspiring person trainer.
I have all your books, dvd, and the USA equipment, but what made me get the kicking dvds, is the fact the your kicks are not only amazingly quick, but you can kick and kick with power. You have kicking down to a science, just like the stretching you do is pure science of anatomical positioning and you break it down kinesiologically. I have gain such insight in stretching and kicking using your dvds. Thanks to you I don't feel like I'm going to be 50 in November.
so paul does your roundhouse dvd teach how to gain height? cause i thought the flexibility dvd was teach you to gain height in leg flexibility thats why i bought that lol! oh dear i should of just got the roundhouse dvd :s.
I really want this and I wish you'd have this in Canada haha... you also need something for punching techniques. When someone understands from an anatomical perspective the function of muscles and how they all correlate in techniques you can squeeze the maximum out of one's own body through such proper technique... This is excellent. Pound for pound used correctly. I love it.
Since you are almost there. Get down to the splits first. It's not a rule, the kicks can be used to warm up the body for splitting, if you wan to do it that way.
It seems like you want to do one thing at a time, so get the splits first.
this looks like the most fantastic kicking training vid. i have ever seen. i will be getting this and training hard in the new year,as i have let my kicks lag lately.
i may even make a video log to track my progress. thanx for making this video and unselfishly giving out the info.

I like how the forearm pads are struck together in between kicks, kind of like a pec fly, interesting for timing and speed development.
