For anyone who doesn't like this sound you probably haven't been to a Grand Prix in the last four years since 04... and probably have no idea what a big bang firing order really is. In fact I'd guess you probably aren't into motocourse period and probably like stunting. This is the best thing to happen to production bikes since Fuel injection and until you've heard a big bang bike in person you probably shouldn't comment on not liking it. Too bad your stunting won't sound as cool.

You're right it doesn't sound like the 800. It sounds pretty damn close to the 990 though for a production bike. You know... the engine size up until the end of the 2006 season.

I agree. I think because we (the public) can only speculate at best. I like the sound and can't wait to get this bike. I have the 2007 R1 and though it's great, I look forward to a shorter wheelbase and that incredible engine. C'mon January 2009!
