I used to use shockdoctor but they break fairly quickly, especially if you are like me and bite down as you are doing sport. the best guard on the market is the Piranah, it is about 35£ (so about 20£ morethan shockdoctor) but it is so mch better. as it is a mould fit people with over bites will find the benefit. @moneyman4477 have you tried putting it in your mouth hot and biting down hard and sucking hard at the same time. i find this gives the best effect, but you need a new one to try it.

I got a shock doctor stc ultra mouthguard the other day and it won't fit properly one of my front teeth is crooked and sticks out alittle and I have an overbite. Also I can't really close my mouth with it on as it feels a bit awkward and doesn't fit properly. Any suggestions I ve tried to re mold it 5 times now and hasn't worked either should i get a new one ? Need one for rugby

@EADPE the dna isnt suitable for striking sports the exoskeleton whacking against your lips will cause them to burst really easily

I recomend the shock doctor gravity which sits on your bottom teeth which I have and you can talk super easy and breath 10times better

@feb225 There are special mouth guards just for braces, if you go to a store just ask. Shock Doctor has mouth guards for braces.

do you have to boil the gel ones? I just got one for airsoft and its differant then the ones i used before and it doesnt say on the back of the box how you fit them.

Put it in all the time. Start off just berating with just your mouth not your nose. Do this until you get cofortable with it in you could be doing it this way for days. Next breathe with your mouth and nose at the same time could do this for days as well. Then start with just breathing with your nose. This is what worked for me took me one month. Good luck

these things really work. me and another dude ran into each other playing pick-up football. I had a shock doctor gel max mouthpiece in, I walked away with a broken nose and walked home. the other kid was taken to the hospital in and couldnt move and was blacking out, and couldnt move his arms or legs. it was because of the mouthpiece I was able to walk home with a broken nose, he was rushed to the hosptial.

I tried a couple of Shock Doctors for boxing pal and found them a pain for causing the inside of my lips to split from the impact. I recommend a custom mouthguard pal best purchase I made. I dont have many teeth left but want to keep what few I have remaining LOL :_)

Basic idea is that when you clinch your teeth you can get power boost, but you need to protect your teeth while clinching them. MORA gives that protection. MORA guard feels different compare to regular guards. You will see that you can clinch your teeth better with MORA.

A lot of people will tell you to go with custom guard since it provides the best fit. For example, I use DNA one since I do not like MORA. You have to try them out to know the difference.

Depends on the type, they will state on the packaging, i have the Shock Doctor Max edition mouth guard, but you can just buy general mouth guards that dont mold around your teeth, they just have a open fitting so your teeth dont get damaged, but only mouthguards that say you have to mold them, are the only possible ones, doing it with a general mouthguard will just ruin it i believe.

when i put my mouthgard in hot water then put it in my mouth to suck and get all the water out, i start bleeding and sometimes get little bumps inside my mouth from i guess sucking to hard. What can i do to reduce this ?

after taking mouthguard out of the water you need to cool it under cold water for the few seconds. Only when mouthguard is cool place it in your mouth. Hope this helps.
