  • and one heretic

  • doesnt the emperor kinda look like Arnold Schwarzenegger in that last picture?

  • This Tune can be heard on God's Ipod!!!!

  • They look like ancient roman soldiers in power armor

  • hacks i call hacks!

  • You lapdogs worship a over glorified corpse in a over polished chair! His soul has been devoured by the Chaos Gods! You fight for nothing more than false worship! For the Dark Gods!

  • @TGZero *in an over polished chair. fix'd

  • @TGZero Such are the ways of daemons to lie and mislead us. The emprah protects.

  • @TGZero Chaos lacks even proper grammar, as for your Dark Gods they are nothing more than the corrupt manifestation of the evil of all sentient beings, a sick murderer eternally thirsting for blood, a treacherous schemer, a decadent travesty and a rotten carcass are your gods, how pathetic, every single one of them despises you and still worship them fully knowing how bad you will lose, the Emperor will be reborn, the holy primarchs will return...and your ass will be totally grass! lol

  • DEATH TO THE CORPSE EMPEROR!! XCXNZBCVXZHJGAS VNBVASK BLOOOOOD!

  • Emporer of man is dragon born lol

  • Brilliant video, showing the best of the Imperium.

To those that think Space Marines or Grey Knights are some how equal to the Custodes, just remember Constantin Valdor an high ranking but of normal birth Custodes managed to beat Horus in an sparing match. The Custodes are beyond the Space Marines.

  • Adeptus Custodes vs Grey Knights - that would be an interesting fight :)

  • @perste91 adeptus custodes= grey knights

  • @perste91 Grey Knights loose definitly. Their experience maybe equvivalent to a point, but yet the Custodians are more experienced in time, have more psyonic powers, beeing bound closer to the emperor alone due to his present aura and most important, they have the best armor and equipment available for the Imperium. Alone the equipment and it's variaty gives allready an unmatchable bonus, plus the Custodian's armour is legendary, allmost a myth. Full with defensive systems and firepower.

  • @SharpenedScalpel The Grey Knight equipment is mostly as good as the custodes one, their armor is specifically designed to counter psyonic attacks so the Custodes supposed advantage on gear and warp powers is minimal to non-existent, and the Grey Knights experience is brutal even for Space Marine standers, they constantly fight while for the Custodes, as much as valuable as they are, well they hadn't took a real massive fight on ...what? 10,000 years? I would bet for the GK

  • @AkiraBrahe Denied. The Custodes equipment is secret to anyone but the adeptus mechanicus who work on them and modify them as much as pretty much constantly. That's due to their as you statet, alltime presence in the palace and the weapons chamber, in which the most powerful weapons of the Imperium are stored. Their armor is described as legendery in retgards of protection. That said, the mechanicus must have invested enormous energy in every single one for each custodes individually. Just fact

  • @SharpenedScalpel The experience of both units is more than equal, the Custodes yet having huge advantige in morale and psyonic abilities. Remember they are in direct mental connection to the emperor, over the thousands of years. That's not a supposed advantige mate, it is an advantige when they match the Grey Knights in experience and outmatch them not only in defensive but also offensive capabilities. These guys are the most expensive and terrifying individual investments of the Imperium

  • @SharpenedScalpel Just think about why they are the ones, who protect the Golden Throne and not the Grey Knights ...................

  • @SharpenedScalpel As good as any bodyguard contingent could be it will never be as good as units with real field combat experience, the Secret Service is a group of competent professionals...who would get their asses easily handed to them by any SEAL team, but getting back to the point, you said that yourself...the Custodes combat experience is 10.000 year out of date...fine group however. I cant find books about them...while the Grey Knights have a codex and eight books :D

  • @AkiraBrahe ..... Dude, that's a weird comparison. We talk about one of the oldest, first ever from the emperors DNA-samples created warrior individuals. I have to remind that these guys fought uncountable wars when nobody yet did even think about raising an Astartes chapter called the "Grey Knights". These guys are the old and silent elite, they know their job best, be it guarding or fighting. The companions are the iconic example of Imperial might. They personage their primarch who btw is ;-)

  • @AkiraBrahe that's what makes them a scary faction. You don't know a shit about them, but the data you have, you know why these guys guard the Emperor and would serve anyones ass on a plate at any given situation. You btw actually see them at present day how your knowledge about them seems to reflect. Yet they have completly abandomed their old armor which is equal in might as of that the emperor wore. They now only wear modified astartes like power armors. In this case, maybe they GK match.

  • @SharpenedScalpel Pal, telling someone "yo dont know shit" is not polite and makes you to look as an pompous asshole...but let it pass this time since you really don´t seem to be an aggressive jerk, to get back point on hand, as great as was the combat experience of the Custodes before the heresy it was 10k years before of the current timeline, but let me to opne my mind...can you give Custodes sources please? on the blacklibrary I haven´t found nothing besides of "Prospero"

  • @AkiraBrahe dude ..... I was saying, that you ( people in generel, not YOU ) don't know much about them, that's what makes them a more scary community. Look, from The Unification Wars, The Great Crusade to The Battle of Gyros Thravian, The Battle of Prospero, The Siege of Terra, the initial Scouring and the post Horus Herresy age in general. The Custodes were/are allways engaged in epic wars, now less but more on infiltraion missions. Only the companions guard the Throne.

  • @SScalpel Ok, sorry I misunderstood you....and you actually have a point there, if so little is known about the Custodes but they are still the protectors of the Throne they must be very dangerous indeed, the lords of Terra can be ruthless or cruel but they are not stupid, they depend on the Throne to keep their seats and yet they give a lot of power and independence to an extremely secretive group..that is certainly a good argument of yours...though I still like more the GK :)

  • @AkiraBrahe The Grey Knights are warriors the Emperor would allways trust his life on and they are a strong community, yet the community is bound by a superb belief in the ultimate primarch, stronger than any other Astartes legion. Certainly they belong to the highest tier of all. I am not one of the guys who claims that a companion could take on 100 GKs, especially after the Horus Herresy.

  • @AkiraBrahe The Custodes share the same weaknesses and faiths like any other Astartes when their minds are beeing attacked and burned by very mighty primarchs. They'll end up like the rest. But their uniquness lies in the oldest experience, each of these ivestments can share to anybody and they are sent to the most dangerous infiltration missions across the universe. Keep in mind that not all of them guard the palace and especially that only 300 so called "Companions" personally guard the throne

  • @SharpenedScalpel At the Battle of Prospero, two or three dozen Custodes held of battalions of the Thousand Sons which were supported by dreadnaughts and terminators. They won and had to face another 2 regiments when finally the Space Wolfes and Sisters of Silence arrived at the scene, just to withness how a giant number of enemies was held back by 20 or so legionaries. It were not even companions, ordinary legionaries. Is that imposant enough ?

  • No it wouldn't. In one of the short story books, there's a story that revolves around one of the Custodes. He states that one-on-one the Custodes are a little better than Space Marines, but in numbers the Space Marines would always win as they enjoy a more group mentality that allows them to act as a unit. Its the difference of warriors vs. soldiers.

  • @kristophersmith1 I totally agree, most real wars had been won by numbers and discipline than for any other reasons, at the time of the USA involvement on WWII the German and the Japanese had better equipment, better soldiers and officers but the Americans kicked theirs asses with superior team work (and later larger numbers), that was particularly true on the pacific war, the flying samurai on their Zeros got their heads handed by sons of farmers on planes not nearly as good

  • @perste91 Custodians would win. they are as strong fighters as the Grey knights. And Custodians have more numbers (10000) Grey knights only have 3000...

  • @wxrgyphg12 mmm, there is little info about the Custodes, but they seem to lack the combat experience and Psyker warfare capacities of the Grey Knights, even with 3 to 1 odds I would put my money on the Knigths, that of course is speculative since the Custodes and the Gray Knight are the most loyal warriors of the Emperor, there is no record of a single Gray Knight falling to chaos corruption, and the same must be true for the Custodes..or the Emperor would be already fully death

  • @AkiraBrahe Ofcource no Grey knight has ever fallen to chaos. Their gene-seed is directly from the Emperor. But in I think that the Custodians could win. But I hope that the imperium never has to see that battle.

  • @wxrgyphg12 Ok, reality check, all of this is a sci-fi fantasy book series and games, so anything is possible but I can´t possibly think on a way of how a custodes-grey knight can be published without ruining the Warhammer40K franchise, about the Grey Knights, their loyalty comes from selection and training, their gene-seed comes from Natahniel Garro, Messa Varren, Garviel Loken, Iacton Qruze and eight other members of traitors legions who individually remained loyal to the emperor

  • @AkiraBrahe These guys are special idividual investments of the Imperium. That means, they are basically raised differing completly from eachother, having the seed of the Emperor himself as one of the first ever raised warriors around. Yet facing battles in the early crusades and the decicive battle of Terra, they in all their abilities, psyonic powers, loyality and access to the deadliest weapons that probably exist, are the Chosen Ones who are good enough to guard the Golden Throne. The best.

  • @SharpenedScalpel especially the 300 companions.

  • @perste91 too short :p custodes vs a primarch :D

  • @perste91 I believe grey knights are pale in comparison with adeptus custodes.. I am talking about the Emperor's personal guard here!

  • @perste91 the Adeptus Custodes would win because the emperor made them from his and some of the pirmarches DNA

  • @lordbirkyful umm grey knights were made from eperors DNA too you know..

  • @Horus19961 Learn backgroun, noob. GK-survivors from Traitor Legions and outcasts from Loyalists Legions. Just trash

  • @Dardinius Titan, through Malcador's mystical means, had been hidden away from the ravages of the Horus Heresy. When they arrived they found a Fortress-monastery already fully prepared and stocked with everything necessary to create a new army of Space Marines including supplies of gene-seed, which is suspected to have been taken from the Emperor directly, and all the necessary armaments.

  • @Horus19961 visit lexicanum for more info maybe now youl think twise before you post a comment..

  • @Horus19961 Learn new background. Read HH books. Don`t be a noob

  • @Dardinius PFFF and that all you can say in fatc i read them you NOOB!

  • @Dardinius He speaks the truth. Go back to your basement, troll. The Grey Knights were made from the Emperor's DNA also, as Horus19961 said.

  • @BlackTemplar43 Oh Geez. Read latest Heresy backgroun: HH books. Legion Of One, Sword of Truth and one more if I`m not mistaken. There you will find the LATEST info about Garro, Locken and the founding of GK

  • @Horus19961 yeah but they were used in the great cursade and not a single one fell in battle or to old age and the grey knights were not made until after the horus heresy

  • @lordbirkyful they vere made during the horus heresy and where hidden on titan and did not fight during horus heresy

  • @Horus19961 grey knights forgot to mention :D

  • It'll never happen, but wouldn't it be fucking AWESOME to see these guys in an episode of Deadliest Warrior?

Reason it won't happen, though, is because nothing short of a Primarch can hold a candle to the might of the Custodes.

But by the Emperor (blessed be his name) would it be a spectacle to behold.

  • @WOLF777dude Not really, it would be like throwing a mice in a blender, with Custodes being the blender.

  • @whatewer23 Yes, but with so much more flare.

  • @WOLF777dude

But Deadliest Warrior is a really terrible show, because their "estimations" are complete shit.

  • @Andreazor That does not detract from the fact that it would be epic to see the Custodes bring the pain.

  • @Andreazor Agreed, the show is very bad, on a way the entire show can be classified as "alternative history" and this is a very difficult genre, even Turtledove, one of the supposed masters of the genre have produced terrible books and a few interesting ones....as for a realistic way of compare forces, there is not really a reliable one, even a single small factor like rain or small terrain features can make meaningless any comparative hypothesis...interesting talk nevertheless

  • @WOLF777dude that or a deamon prince or greater deamon of immense power especdially those who make even grey knights tremble

  • @GnosisZX It might even take more than that, given the titanic power of each Custodes.

The moment you mentioned Grey Knights, it reminded me of Alpha+ Psykers.

    Such power...

  • @WOLF777dude if custodes are that powerful nothing less than superman at max power could take em down or planet nuking super beings

  • @GnosisZX I'm not sure of their exact power, all I'm going by is the comparison of them being to Space Marines what Space Marines are to regular humans. That, and their equivalent of a Primarch is the Emperor of Mankind.

  • The Custodes seems like Space Marines in anything but name. And even better, there are millions of them, so they could crush any foe even if the Imperium of Mankind is reduced to Mars, Titan and Holy Terra.

  • @Beaviz81 Their is only about 10,000 Custodes at any given time....maybe less cause they are extremely hard to produce...not ot mention time consuming.

  • @EmperorBloodRavens

They live for centuries, and have peace. So they can be very strong as the Solar System draw recruits for them in the billions, and are ageless. Even merely thousands would be unbeatable in combat.

  • @Beaviz81 Each Custodes is an individual investment for the Imperium, is way more expensive then space marines to create as well. During the Horus Heresy their was only about 10,000 in the Legio Custodes. The Custodians were never meant to be part of a conquering army so their numbers never exceeded about 10,000 at any given time. This is true even in the 41st Millenia as they are meant to simply guard the palace. So recruitment does not need to be much as only the best of the best can get in.

  • @Beaviz81 Part 2, This comes from official canon.

  • @EmperorBloodRavens

Okay, well they are Space Marines in anything but their name.

  • le 1 ki naime pas et un heretic

  • ummm why does this picture look like from a bloody blu-ray 0:34?

  • custodians are more or less the same as space mariens but more independant (at least they where befor good old E got planted on the trone)

  • it took 1000 traitor guard shooting at the same time to kill a Custodes.... when they finally killed him they found out that there was 4 more aboard their ship.

  • i hear Tinitus -_____- otherwise, the Custodes are cheesy :3

  • How old are the current Adeptus Custodes? Are there members who have lived since the Horus Heresy?

  • @HolyVegeta as much as I know, the Custodes are the same as those from the Heresy era since they were uniquely engineered by the Emperor. They have no gene-seed since they even pre-date the Primarchs and it's impossible to induct new members due to their bioligical uniqueness.

  • @111Quartermain

So is the Emperor the only one who knows on how to create the genetic makeup for the Custodes?

  • @HolyVegeta

Yes. They are unique because they do not have any gene-seed, but only very complex surgery (thought to be either forgotten or known only by the Emperor). You should check out Lexicanum, they got an entire page dedicated to the Custodes:)

  • @111Quartermain

Holy crap, they just changed the entire format on youtube!

Anyway, yeah I already read about the Custodes a few days ago. But it only gave little information on how they were created. There is no detail about their development process. I might read the short novel 'Blood Games' to learn more about the Custodes.

  • @HolyVegeta The customdians equivilant of a primarch is the emperor himself, they are the only space marine loyal space marine legion, each chapter has a squad of custodians to maintain purity of said chapters members

  • @HolyVegeta each individual Adeptus Custodes was hand genetically engineered by the Emperor himself. It was a much longer process than the creation of a Space Marine, and there was no standard template. Each one is different and unique, and due to that they tend to fight either individually or as rather small squads, rather than the usual 10 man squad of the Space Marines.

  • @HolyVegeta each Custodes however is FAR more powerful than even a Grey Knight. The lowliest of Custodes is a match for the greatest of Grey Knight Grandmasters, or the greatest Chapter Master.

  • @Verixus113 how about Mephiston who is the fastest..... and the strongest...... and the toughest living space marine not to mention he has monstrous psykick power. that would be something i would like to see

  • @BrotherTarkus I think Kaldor Draigo may have something to say to Mephiston on him being the strongest Adeptus Astartes. But regardless E.O.M. >>>> Primarch > Custodes > Any Astartes

  • I watch the news on tv to feel ashamed about being human, I watch this to feel proud to be human.

  • @derWolfemann hate to dissapoint you buddy but in warhammer universe being an average human is less then nothing...

  • @Dustjericho less than nothing? in comparison to what? Even chaos daemons die and are forgotten as if they never existed. "Stand for something or fall for anything" Even a low born hive world hab worker can be proud of what their race has accomplished.

  • @derWolfemann Agreed!

  • What's with the Eldar hats? And are there minifigs for this era and can one "replay historical battles" so to speak?

  • You can get models of these guys

  • So basicly these guys are the ultimate ones for the Imperium? No one is more badass right?

  • @DukeMrcha

Guess so. After all, they get to hang with the "righteous dead dude". But they don't get out much. So how they would fair in actual combat is everyone's guess.

  • @DrMabuse2006 Well, based on what it takes to become a custodian, you can be pretty sure even a normal custodian could easily do the job of the newfound chapter master - which, lets be honest, aren't exactly weak. I made a rulebook for them, which i used in an apocalypse tournament once, it was pretty awesome :D

  • @Swampax

I'm not so sure. Since they are basicly bodyguards rather then soldiers.

  • @DukeMrcha Unless you count the Emperor who sits on the toilet all day (but i hear his stomach problems are getting slightly better :D) and the surviving primarchs (Leman Russ got lost in the Eye of Terror, Jaghatai Khan took a wrong left turn in the Webway, Lion El' Jonson has taken a loooong break from doing anything and so on.)

  • Someone posted: "They are to Marines what Marines are compared to Guardsman" should be answer enough^^

And nope, no Marine can join them., They are recruited from terra (who exactly has a chance to join, sorry no idea)

  • @MrKazaddum Actually they don't get recruited at all. Adeptus Custodes are actually geneticaly engineered using Emperor's gene seed and then vat-grown just like primarchs were. The process takes long time & is very expensive vs spacemarines who r cheaper & less time consuming and almost just as good. More acurate comparison would be " They are to Marines what Grey Knights are compared to Marines"

  • Just how much stronger are the Adeptus Custodes compared to the Space Marines? Can a high ranked Space Marine, such as a Honor Guard, be recruited to the Adeptus Custodes?

  • spears with guns on them. truly epic.

  • epic song epic video!

  • Wouldnt want to be a maid in their service and forget to sweep in front of the throne . . . . . . .

  • They are indeed chanting in mighty song....Genitals are salty!! We fight for McBallz!!! And we shall know no phallus!!!!

  • All hail the custodians! May they forever keep the halls clean!

  • Space Marines are just clones of CHuck Norris with power armour and bolters.

  • The Emperor shall know no fear, casue his Guardians are always near...

  • 0:01 pigtails huh, millenias pass but something stubbornly remains the same...

  • @IndisguiseIam That my friend, is how they created the custodes.

  • That picture at 1:09 is really epic.

  • Venerate the Immortal Emperor!

  • Chuck Norris himself isnt so badass

  • @Marktrius t'es stupide ou quoi ? c'est du Latin ...

  • Stand strong, my brothers! The Emperor shall not fall this day! AVE IMPERATOR!

  • can i find a picture of the emperor?

  • Also the Soroitas Silentum are not the "Brides of the Emperor" nor are they the forerunners of the Adepta Soroitas.

  • Comment removed

  • Kill!Maim!Burn the Heretic

  • @MrMack1376 thats a chaos line without "the Heritic" XD lol u loyalists should get more original

  • @NmanXwantedX yeah I know. its a play on words

  • No Offense but is it just me or are they saying if you listen carefully "Genitals are really salty" I'm not lying it really sounds as if they are saying that. Give me thumbs up if you hear it too.

  • @Marktrius Certainly sounds like it...

  • @Marktrius Apparently however it is actually "Tempus Domi Sancti"

  • @Marktrius when?

  • @Marktrius haha yeah indeed

  • @Marktrius just wishful thinking

  • @Marktrius ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha i hear it too!!!!

  • @Marktrius Lmao!

  • @Marktrius It's latin. Nothing of the sort you mentioned. It doesn't even sound like that.

  • @Marktrius I can sort of hear it but it's likely Latin for something ells.

  • @Marktrius

We fight for mankind and the Emperors chocolate salty balls!!!

  • @Marktrius LMAO chaos has tainted your mind.. but yes I hear it too :))

  • @Marktrius typical american behaviour to dissrespect everything, first it's not english, it's latin, second who the fuck would sing "genitals are really salty" ?

  • @Undeazgul You sir need to get a grip, pull your head out of your ass, and have a little fun with your imagination. :)

  • @Marktrius Strange minds think alike!

  • @Marktrius You bastard! now all i hear is ''Genitals are really salty''.. GAH! xDDD

  • @Marktrius

Opus libis, Opus sanctis, inturbatus, inconsultus, integritas, incurda.

Tempus (or genesus) domi, sancti, curdus. (2x)

    Imotatus, inconsultus, integritas, inturbatus!

Which comes down to stuff like: The work of the books,The work of the saints, without doubting/consulting, integrity, and knowledge.

    so far mah latin

  • Brides of the Emperor?

    These are the Sororitas Silentum...

  • Even in Death, I still surf.

  • @TreeGh0st all praise the internet

  • do they have dreadnoughts too? im just curious.

  • @jallerb Well there's Sagittarius

  • @jallerb

Yep they have Dreadnoughts. The only one of them I know is Sagittarus, Dreadnought of the Custodian Guard.

  • @Donutman767 Indeed...and he purge a lots of heretic during the siege of terra :P

  • @jallerb yeah check it out in the lexicanum Adeptus Custodes and you'll see a picture of Sagitarius

  • OH YEAH there is THE HOLY IMMORTAL GOD EMPEROR OF MAN KIND :X <3 at last i a couple of pictures of him :D is mighty indeed like a GOD :D hes Jesus in a sci fi:D modern advanced world in the future:D

  • Did anyody see the White Dwarf in which these where made and painted.

    Those models where so awesome.

  • The Emperors finest

  • During the Siege of Terra, while the Blood Angels, Imperial Fists, and White Scars defended the Palace, the Custodes fought in the heart of the Palace against Daemons that forced Warp Openings. They actually went into the rifts to hold the Daemons back.

  • i have to say one of your best works so far with the begining frame

  • Comment removed

  • they need to make them a army fo the table top

  • @qwertyboyo They'd be overpowered. They're superior to Space Marines, they're miniature Emperor's in the lore. Infact, Constantin Valdor, an Adeptus Custodian during the Great Crusade/Horus Heresy, Defeated Horus one on one in a sparring match. Adeptus Custodes are not Space Marines :P

  • @Unkehz0r Yeah Adeptus Custodes are like the Archangels of God , Michael , Gabriels , etc :D they are mini gods:D

  • @Punisher4bmw correct term would be demi god o.O

  • @qwertyboyo try gray knights ;)

  • Excellent work, his Divine Majesty surely is pleased.

  • Excellent music and pictures!

  • COOOOOOOOL

    The music... fantastic..

  • as Astartes stands above the mortal man, the Custodes stands above Astartes...

    They are really epic...

But my loyalty is already with Horus...

  • @makakooos You're aware that Horus lost in a Sparring match against Custodian Constantin Valdor prior to the Horus Heresy? :P That was how powerful the Adeptus Custodes were.

  • @Unkehz0r But they still exists right?

  • @GamersReviewer in the 40k universe yes but they're not allowed to leave terra basicly.

  • @GamersReviewer in 40k, yeah. but they surrendered their armor and are constantly guarding the Imperial Palace of the Emperor. They haven't left its stead in over 10,000 years.

  • @Unkehz0r think thats "old" lore.

They dont stand around half naked with a cape and leather boots anymore. :P

    They changed it.

  • @Unkehz0r They'll use their armor again if Terra is attacked or they get order from the emperor or are on mission.

  • damn my e never come... damn keyboard and the pic at 1:31 and at 1:51 .. i love their helmet!

  • Nic work!

  • Another excellent video.

    The Emperor protects!!!

  • Epic. :)

  • maybe you should watch my trailer

  • the Emperior is super epic
