Eliminate the Saddam Regime and help build and support a democratic government that can stand on it's own. We have provided the Iraqis with billions of dollars for infrastructure, support, and training to allow them to stand on their own. Not to mention thousands of lives. I was there, and trust me. It was well worth it and my fellow soldiers say the same.

Religious extremists were not tolerated & jailed if found. The US brought them chaos and carnage worse than Saddam.

The mass deaths Americans keep whining about were from Iran-Iraq WAR 30 YEARS AGO, where 100s of 1000s died on both sides..it's the favorite excuse of Americans. Yes, Americans are far worse. Under Saddam there was no unemployment, modern hospitals, universities & roads. There was free education..some of the best education in the ME, and free health care. There was free enterprise. Iraq's govt was not religious, with a Christian community (which the US destroyed) & no religious strife-Sunni and Shiite lived together in the same communities. Religious extremists were not tolerated & jailed if found. The US brought them chaos and carnage worse than Saddam.

I wouldn't put past this Government to be lying about the situation in Iraq on the Television news in America.. The normal path for human beings is peace not continuous conflict and mayhem. I do believe these tourist are in a secure area, but I believe the real war is in the US and not Iraq..
