@RMEAudio WOW! Gonna buy one of those ASAP!! I only have one question: The main output are the XLR on the back, but, usually I use 4 monitor plus a subwoofer, and, because of that, I need 6 outputs! They all can be plugged with the 1/4" outputs, but on the video, the guy said that the volume knob only change the volume of the main output, how can I make it turn up/down all the outputs ? (Maybe I miss understood what he said) Thanks a lot already for the help!
It can be remote controlled by the PC/Mac with TotalMix and TotalMix can be remote controlled by the controls on the interface (display and encoders). It can work in stand-alone mode without beiing connected to the host computer and controlled with the display and the encoders completely. It can even be remote controlled by a Mackie Control compatible hardware unit with faders and knobs.
@MustacheVerra Yes I believe it can be controlled from the computer by a software mixer. All other RME products can. The difference here is this unit can be controlled also by the front panel knobs without the need of a computer. I think RME did this to make the UFX also useful as a front end input device. Perhaps for example, using using the UFX ADAT outs to send signal to another device.
Ah, and how to turn on and off the phantom ? Only via the software ?

Sure. The UFX works with all native software programs on Windows and Mac OS. Cubase, Logic, Pro Tools 9, Reaper, Samplitude, Fruity Loops ...
It can also work and record on USB stick/hard drive in complete stand-alone operation.
