there shudnt be any rights for the people who are stupid enough not to use thier common sense. they shudnt have the right to sue. i think the people should know already that thier cup of coffee is hot. people never use thier common sense anymore.
There are legal reasons why we have so many signs. For example, with the door with 20 signs on it, if someone got into the room and got electrocuted, then it's their problem. If there was no electric sign on, they could sue as they were not warned of the danger. Some signs are required by law, some are useful and the rest are covering themselves legally. In the end, signs are inferior to proper training.
A few years ago the Five Man Electrical Band warned us about relying too heavily on signs but I don't think the sign gods were paying much attention.
And I don't blame the train employee for questioning your blatant signage videoing Ian, (sheesh mister, what were you thinking?!) you do kinda look like a really, really, waaay deep undercover Taliban...

Thank you for transporting me there, if only for 4:19 and forgive me for now sharing your irritation at the nags, it gave me only pleasure :D
Every day I pass a group of smokers outside the hospital, right in front of several of the new "Smoke-free campus" signs. Everyone knew that ordinance would be impossible to enforce.
One day someone will get hit by a train and die because they were too busy reading signs.
