F1 is far ahead of nascar, its not even fair to compare them, it like comparing your VW minivan to a mustang. Technologically, the F1 series is unsurpassed. An F1 car is far ahead of a Nascar vehicle in any sense, but that is necessary when you consider that these vehicles have to do more than make continuous left hand turns. Don't get me wrong, I am American, and I do have endless respect for the Nascar greats, but F1>Nascar.

The races in F1 are much shorter and in nascar theres no push to pass button, or so much onboard telemetry. So much tenology in open wheel racing makes it much less on the driver. And the tracks they race on. In nascar they run on superspeedways with giant 4 wide packs, road corses, short half miles, intermediate tracks that vary from 1 to 2.5 miles.

A1 GP regulations stated that only 6 people could work on the car (2 jacks, 4 wheels). For the outer wheels, a man was allowed to carry the wheels. The purpose of this man was also to prevent wheels entering the fast lane.
The regulations also said that all pit team members (apart from the lollipop man) had to wait behind the garage line until the car had stopped.

@pakkiekoekies why would they only change the tires on one side of the car? the uneven wear could become a dangerous factor later in the race. your quite obviously blind
