  • The soundtrack is excellent too.

  • @fridaythethirteenfan Thanks for watchin'.

  • Well, the difference between them is the ending. If you choose Eagle, you say fuck this when your general ask you to save the president again. When youre Snake, your chopper crash and you go on vacations.

  • lol you sound like the father from the old TV show "8 Is Enough"...which makes listening to this pretty funny

  • @xpoondiggy LOL! Hmm.....that's interesting. I don't ever think I got that one. :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • @spida1a he's referring to king Roland of Druidia...

  • @Gatorade Either that or "Abbot" from Men in Tights! :)

  • As always a realistic review, im about to stop saying this :P Who know maybe one day i'll have a different opinion from you? :) I find it odd that a game so average overall can be so fun to play. I don't know how they did it but this game's proof. I still remember the 1st time I hopped on a bike, the way it skids when you go up or down was, and still is, hilarious!!! What's your view on the game being so average but have such replay value?

  • The characters in the cut scenes look just like the characters in Midnight Resistance. Both this game and Midnight Resistance were made by Data East so it's not surprising. They both came out around the same time although when I play Bloody Wolf, it makes me wish I was playing Midnight Resistance. I wish that game was released on the TG-16 or TG-CD.

  • Why were so many games like Bloody Wolf and Last Alert for duo and Final Fight for snes as examples, denied 2-player co-op mode? Both consoles were powerful enough to support the co-op feature. Doesn't make any sense.

  • I think you can guess what I'm about to say... I'm going to download this on Virtual Console!!!

  • @oRecluse99o You'll like it. It's a fun run-n-gunner! :)

    Thanks for watching!!Thanks for watching!!

  • Boss theme in this game was so good.

I remember losing at the final fight a lot, the leader is so cheap.

  • @ElazulsCore Oh yes. He is super hard. Ha ha.

    Thanks for watching!

  • are you the big bald dude from loud mouths on sny channel? you sound like him XD

  • @UndeadVegeta LOL! No....but that would be a sweet job, eh? ! :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • gotta love the evil soilders epic deaths LOL

  • Muscle emphasis tablets....pfft! I think they meant STEROIDS! lol

  • My awesome parents bought me one of these in 19990....and I played it until my eyes hurt and my thumbs were in pain! Those were the best days ever!!! Thanks for Posting!!! :-)

  • @mrbrandon71 Oh yes, I had many an afternoons playing on this one myself. Thanks for watching and commenting! :) :)

  • gosh..I have fond memories playing this game when I was 12~13.

  • @ryanc519 Ha ha. Me too. :) :)

  • looks like a mix of Metal Gear for Nes and Contra. pretty cool game.

  • @KingGuttsJade Ha ha. Totally. Thanks for watching!

  • Its like metal gear for nes the style and graphics!

  • @paleknight1 Great comparison, yes. It feels a little like it also.

    Thanks for watching!

  • i want it and found it but too expensive XO

  • HEH;;; everytime that I start a new video of yours, within 1 second before even watching it, I just instantly thumb it no; because you are the shiet XD

  • @DJeimaXe "You thumb it no?" I hope you mean up! Ha ha! :)

  • @spida1a OoWWHOOPS I mean I thumb it up XD The proof shows it within my profile LOL MY BAD, I have just got back from my job and ..I .. Am .. just brain shot for the time being

  • @DJeimaXe Ha ha. Thanks man. It means a lot...it really does. Glad to have you on board the ole' crazy TurboGrafx train...or whatever. Ha ha. :)

  • @spida1a I never had the chance to play the Arcade game and only played the TG-16 version other the lack of a 2P mode are there much differences between the two such as what was added and what was taken away. I don't know why the bald guy is called Snake and the other Eagle since it should be the other way since the guy with the headband look like Solid Snake from Metal Gear that was on the MSX and NES around the time of this game.

  • this game reminded me a LOT of 'Nam 75 from neo geo. that is why i bought it when it came out (also i am a fan of games from the late 80s). see 2:35, reminds me of the way nam is played. 2:46 reminds me exactly of metal gear on the nes. i actually like the "insert coin" style of this game. if you insert a coin, you pickup right where you left off. no frustration! motorcycle at 5:00 reminds me of renegade!

  • One of my favorites on the system, good for those days you just wanna shoot things and act out a rambo movie :3 I always named Eagle "Rambo" and Snake "Dutch" it worked out perfectly especially when snake says "get to the chopper!" lol

  • I LOVE this game ! I had a hell of a time beating the GENERAL boss ! I was really hoping they were going to make a sequel on the SUPER CD, but, unfortunately that didn't happen ! : ( I think it would've been really sweet on a SUPER CD ! Keep up the great work spida1a ! Buy the way , I just received the VOLUME 1 / 3 CD SET ! Thanks a lot CHRIS ! I CAN'T WAIT TO CHECK IT OUT ! Please let me know when VOLUME 2 AND 3 ARE COMING OUT !!! Take care man !

  • I would have really liked a sequel to this one. It is quite good. :)

Sweet. Let me know how you like the set!!

  • "now find this game and play it, go"

Wait, no please or if you don't mind?

    X3

  • Well seriously.....no manners. You know?

    :)

  • Another favorite in my collection! It truly *does* seem almost identical to the arcade version most of the time even if it is somewhat easier but, I like this version better since they sort of made in to more of an action/adventure rather than just action.

  • I think the Arcade version should have been ported to Wii since it had 2-player Co-Op(maybe the Turbo tap hadn't come out they should had two controller ports on the TurboGrafx) but the TurboGrafx version had better sound and longer levels and you can use the Wii NES Retroport for a Turbo NES controller on the Wii. Last Alert is like a spiritual sequel to this game.I think the guy with the Bandanna in BW should have been call Snake since he looks like Solid Snake.

  • cool muic, you can bet on that, now tell me wh was the composer of the pc engine version (arcade sound sucks) ?

  • That I don't know. :)

    Thanks for watching!! :)

  • Nice review. Quick story: I entered a Chicago Sun Times contest on August 19, 1990 that awarded 750 people with a TG-16 system, "Bloody Wolf," and "Keith Courage!" I actually *won* so I got to play the hell out of this as a kid!

A few years later after I bought a TurboExpress for $99, the metal contacts were so tight that they broke it after insertion! :( My TE still works, but yeah, it managed to break one of the very few HuCards that I owned. I was pretty pissed about it, but oh well...

  • Oh man. That's awesome. I never win anything. LOL! :) :)

    Thanks for watching!

  • Sweet review! i like that the continue is nice with you :)

  • The story is similar to Bad Dudes, isn't it?

Hey, did anyone every play 2 Crude Dudes? That game was beyond epic!

  • 1:24 Kindergarden Cop was filmed where I live, Astoria, Oregon...

  • Ha! No way! How cool.

  • The TG-16 desperately needed more Contra-like games such as this. Never played Final Zone II or Last Alert but this is indeed fun.

  • Definitely. FZII is a bit lame but LA isn't too bad (definitely the worst voice acting on any game.....but, it's awesomely cheesy. LOL!) We'll get to that one eventually.

  • Loved this game. I thought it was one of the best games for the system.

  • Cool! It is definitely a lot of fun! ;)

  • You are the best reviewer i've seen so far for TG16 games on here.Compare to two that i can't stand, but i won't say there names.Any ways keep up the good work spida.

  • Thanks a lot. I'm having fun with this project. It's bringing back a lot of memories. :)

  • What's editing software do you use? Your stuff looks so good I could think you are a pro.

  • At home for these reviews I use Adobe stuff (and Premiere to edit, mostly). At work I lean more Apple and use Final Cut and Avid. So, I mix it up a bit.... :)

  • Again cool review but what was the error before in the original upload?

  • I uploaded the wrong version of the review that had the wrong rating at the end. It was bugging me............

  • OMG!! I'm having Deja Vu!!!

(and I don't normally like French food ^_^)

  • Mmm. That's good stuff!!!!
