I have an empty stomach right now and my heart wishes i was one of the judge so i could eat all those goodiiiiiiiies!!! I guess i have to go cook something now...
The dude with the shorts and the orange crocs" This coming from the guy that looks like his hair caught on fire and he never bothered to put it out.
I miss Kaga... this dude is a dork... well he actually acts a like a dork, at least Kaga manged to pull it off... You show me another dude that can pull off a feathered cloak ^.-
@snowblazer12 especially considering that hes set things on fire by accident, slipped more than once while trying to grab things from the freezer, and put a spoon in sauce, then in his mouth, then back in the sauce
yet somehow he still comes out victorious.....i never seem to understand that....
I totally agree with you guys... ICJ and ICA are both enjoyable shows! Some ICJ fans need to get off their high horse and just have fun watching the show. Alton Brown and Morimoto alone make ICA awesome!
I used to not like Iron Chef America, but after watching it more, I think I enjoy it more than the original IC. These chefs don't seem so serious about it all and just do it for fun. And of course, Alton just makes it all the better :D
Well Cuisine in general is almost a sacred thing in Japan, as opposed to America where a lot of people have the misconception of being drowned in Grease, fast food and fat people.
Man, why do so many fans of Iron Chef Japan hate Iron Chef America? I just don't get it. It's got just about everything Iron Chef Japan had, it's just presented differently.
Sure, it doesn't have Chairman Kaga--but it has Alton Brown, and he makes up for that by a long way. And besides, he serves as commentator here, so you get to see/hear more of him than you did with Kaga in the original show!
teamfat666: Indeed! I started watching both at the same time, and I find plenty of reasons to like the both of them. I think Food Network did a great job carrying on Iron Chef's legacy.
Though, I still twitch whenever I see ICJ fans say that ICA is pure crap (or worse). Or whenever I see those petitions demanding that Food Network cancel ICA and re-air ICJ. (Especially since ICJ is on Fine Living Network now!)
Awesome. Thank you for posting, I have wanted to see this one for a while now. Any chance you could post the one with Tom Douglas? I am from Seattle like Douglas, and would love to see that episode. Thanks.

isn't it bad hygiene to cook wearing jewelry and watches? especially rings....

"With an open heart and empty stomach" is a terrible line. I've never liked it. Something about "empty stomach" just sounds unappealing.

I like them both. They each have strong points and weak points.
I guess it is like Ford vs. Chevy, Bears vs. Packers, Ginger vs. Mary Ann, whatever.
