I'm a Hip-Hop fan, a huge one. A metal fan. A death metal fan. And this still...still just captures every part of my soul and heart. This music is amazing.
This guy is as good as it gets....WOW. We are talking Chuck Berry... Charlie Patton...Jimi Hendrix...Keith Richards.. basically every blues musician that followed him. Ask anyone.
@liammateer You haven't got a clue, pal. I suggest you learn a bit more about blues before you even think about commenting again. Robert Johnson is probably the greatest blues player to have ever lived whilst the Blues Brothers is a film you ignorant person.
go and watch the video about him selling his soul its really good if you are a fan. he was a laughingstock came back a few months later and people were amazed(although it sounds like shit music to me).just my personal opinion(the fans like him good for you).HE SANG SONGS ABOUT BEATING HIS WOMAN WAS AN ALCHO AND DEGENERATE. no wonder the music was really bad.
hes one evil looking man dont look into his eyes or he will eat your soul and also that picture with him with the harmonica is not him it was proven not to be him
I know the myth is that Robert died from poisoned booze served to him at a juke because of a woman. However poison would have killed Robert within hours to one day after ingesting. Robert lived for 3 days before succumbing to whatever took him. It is a widely believed that he died of Syphilis, a common killer in the pre-WWII days, before penicillin.
lotta fucker pretending to be 13 , 12 yrs old fuck off who cares how old you are just like the music, but anyways all his songs is just him and a guitar but it sounds like two guitars its a demon come up from hell to help him, then take him to sweet home hell
This Robert Johnson dude has the vintage look & sound down pat! He’s obviously extensively studied the old blues guys from the 20’s & 30’s. I’ve never heard of him before, probably because he needs to get better management & public relations. Like, where’s the magazine & TV interviews, & live performance clips? He could be big. But I bet he listens to rap when he’s by himself at home.
@cumminsfan96 I'm 15 too and my generation can gtfo, it's my music, no their music, if i like this i don't need to put on every fucking video of blues/rock/metal music "OOH I'M 4 YEARS AND I LIKE THIS MY GENERATION SUCKS", stfu and listen the music. (sorry for my bad english).

I DONT GET HIS MUSIC SO WHAT. everyone has their own tastes. big deal.its only a guy playing a guitar who can nearly sing.
@243mateoandres How many Lies do you think you have told in your life? Ever stolen anything, even something small? Ever looked at a person with lust? Ever used GOD's name as a curse word? If so, GOD sees you as a Lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Guilty will end up in Hell. That's not GOD's will. You broke GOD's laws, but Jesus paid your fine! (IF) you Repent, and trust in Christ alone, GOD will forgive every sin you have ever committed, and grant you Eternal life!

I fuck with all genres of music mostly hiphop, R&B, Blues, Jazz and old fasion rock-roll. Nothing better than good black music. But why in the hell are you assholes comparing Katy Perry, Justin Bieber and Lady Gage to a legendary blue's singer???
Calling them idiots is a strong assumption, hating your generations music is not at all an idiotic statement. I'm not making any assumptions but I grew up through the nineties, and believe me its not going to pass as long as people are feeding Itunes, Big CD distributors (in turn major labels), this wont pass. To even think its going to pass is silly, it will worsen and worsen. BUT! I do agree that men like Jonson will NEVER die. Even living in the depression would be fine, you got by or didn't.
@MyRubb Yeah, yeah, I understand big business and corporations will always be around, and of course pop music will always be around. But only the truly special artists will survive and be remembered. When I said that it will all pass, I meant people like Justin Bieber, Katy Perry and Lady Gaga.
No, you little idiots. You weren't born in the wrong generation. Nobody wishes that the could have grown up during the Depression just because that's when Robert Johnson was making music.
All you 13 year-olds who are tired of today's crappy music, just be patient. It'll all pass. Guys like Johnson will live on.
@phxsns1 Maybe they want to sit in the dark wishing for a way to listen to the blues, and maybe they want to eat saw-dust and talk about how good Robert Johnson is.
@phxsns1 i never said i wanted to be born in this era, this music just addicts me not that stupid lil wayne crap that not even music. this is real music. i never like any music any one in my school listens too.
@phxsns1 Excellent comment, I sometimes play a couple RJ song on guitar to young people, they never heard it before but they ALWAYS smile when they hear the guitar start up, it's infectious deep blues will live forever.
@phxsns1 amen brother. True, music like this not so often. But every generation, creates at least 1 gem. Sorry to say... beiber ain't it. But it will come. Nobody would ever have loved to live through what most of these brilliant musicians went through. But most of this music is so powerful and memorable because people like this went through so much hardship and necessity... blues basically. Not everything is blues, but a drive to vent, and speak out is responsible for most music today.
@phxsns1 thats hilarious, the odds of you even coming into contact with one of these artists if you lived in the depression would be retarded... lol ppl are dumb
@lookatyourself99 Yeah, plus he only lived to be 27. It would have been a better deal if he lived a full life and was able to make more incredible music. Then again, maybe the fact that there is so little Robert Johnson music makes it that much more valuable.
Robert Johnson was amazing and so good. Too bad he was gone too soon. He recorded the original versions of Crossroads, Cold Turkey, That's All Right Mama, ans She's a Woman. So great he was. Don't compare Lady Gaga or Katy Perry to him Robert beats them all day.
What the !@#$ are you %^&*@#$ babbling about? Things happened b4 Johnson & things happened after him. Rereleasing his music in the 60's may have had an influence on some people but, he's just another guy who could get down. Without him, the musical revolution would have went on just the same. He was part of a style (his recordings are from the late 1920's, i believe) that's been done for some time.
@Fucenpy Eric Clapton would've been immensley different. As would've the Rolling Stones. I would say Clapton and the stones' work was pretty damn important you "dickface cockmaster".
@xXmcgoatsXx O.o your situation is exactly like mine!
The only Band I am proud of in my Generation is The Black Keys, that is the best blues band I have ever heard excluding Junior Kimbrough.(I am 13 also)
great artist....without him + other music wouldnt be as we know it today...although i reckon Mr johnson would turn in his grave if he heard the shit they play today....
Chicago , promised land of the blues for a little french frog like me who like blues for so long ... i hope one day i will be in Chicago ... sweet home Chicagoooooo !
its amazing this man did some great music and died at 27 / i checked wikipedia and its amazing how Eric Clapton has called Johnson "the most important blues singer that ever lived." now how can you argue with GOD?
@Randazzo118 Thats a bit of sweeping statement im not sure The Beatles were all that influenced by country and western or the rolling stones. Country and western is actually very niche outside of america most people think it sucks balls.
Hey everybody ive been playing blues for thirty six years go to junior hooker they wont let my video stay up on the video response list enjoy and keep digging them blues fuck the oppresors of this music
The pic of the guy with the hat and harmonica IS NOT Robert Johnson. There are only 2 known pic's of Johnson. You can probably pick them out yourself. I'll give you a hint look for the 7" finger's
idiots all american cultural and country blues bluegrass, country and western delta blues, pop and many more are an exstension of turn of the century RAGTIME MUSIC. It is the foundation of it all!!!! even chet atkins carried on ROBERT JOHN'S STYLE OF THUMB PICK AND TWO FINGER PICKING FOR COUNTRY BLUES PICKING. Ragtime is where it all started.
@USgovernmentLies pop was influenced by jazz, and jazz by blues;music is all about influences and slow evolution;if for example mozart hadnt existed believe me that music would be very different nowadays;its like if you said that theres no connection between lenins and maos political ideology because one is russian and the other chinese
fuck the devil! he/she/it is within and without all of us. All i know is Robert Johnson is the fuckin man!

@phxsns1 you're right man, but we have to make music not press a button for sound

@phxsns1 Music is what you make it. If the 13 year olds want good music, they should make it. Not whine and complain on the internet.

@phxsns1 ..why are judging people for expressing their joy in listening to talent? Just be patient, your need to set the world right will pass.

@Juustokauppias good in the fact we got this MUSIC but bad as he is in eternal damnation giving his side of the deal
lookatyourself99 2 months ago
@lookatyourself99 Yeah, plus he only lived to be 27. It would have been a better deal if he lived a full life and was able to make more incredible music. Then again, maybe the fact that there is so little Robert Johnson music makes it that much more valuable.
phxsns1 2 months ago
Robert Johnson was amazing and so good. Too bad he was gone too soon. He recorded the original versions of Crossroads, Cold Turkey, That's All Right Mama, ans She's a Woman. So great he was. Don't compare Lady Gaga or Katy Perry to him Robert beats them all day.

Like this. :)

@Randazzo118 Thats a bit of sweeping statement im not sure The Beatles were all that influenced by country and western or the rolling stones. Country and western is actually very niche outside of america most people think it sucks balls.

SHADOWMAN296 4 months ago
@USgovernmentLies pop was influenced by jazz, and jazz by blues;music is all about influences and slow evolution;if for example mozart hadnt existed believe me that music would be very different nowadays;its like if you said that theres no connection between lenins and maos political ideology because one is russian and the other chinese
