I am a guy and I wanna be so much like Michael Landon and Charles Ingalls. He makes me happy, he makes me emotional, he makes me proud. So sad he was taking away from us so early. I didn't relate to him when I was young, related more to the children. Now at the age of 35 I really love the show so much more and think I cry everytime. He is by far my favorite, most should think the same way. Michael Landon is my favorite person and always will be.
This is wonderful...I'm same age like Laura and grow up with LHoP (on TV in Germany). After more than 25 years I watched this video + cried t first time since many years...i 'd wish that life wouldn't be so transient...what would I give to go back in time to meet this people...everybody should give love to their kids like michael landon showed and enjoy the moments, even the insignificant ones...time goes by so fast...I never will forget this family.

It is where Laura and her friend Jona, find some gold dust in the stream where they like to fish, and spend the next two weeks paning it out so that they can be rich. In the process, they also have to keep it a secret from everyone, especially the little Oleson brats Nellie and Willie. It is hilarious, especially when they play hooky and bring their gold in to town....
with Jona's cart. They wheel it up to the bank, only to be disappointed when the banker Mr. Sprague, tells they that it is worthless Pyrite or fools gold. It is both sad and funny when after the scene at the bank, they show Jona emptying the last sack of fools gold in to the river where they had panned it out of, and Jona leaves with the fishing pole and bobber that Laura had promised him for his help. Poor Laura is left sitting on a rock with her feet in the stream looking bailfully..
at this huge pile of fools gold, her dreams of giving her loved ones all that they could ever want crushed. What makes it funny is that for the past two weeks while they were panning the gold out of the river, she was having dreams of what her familie's life would be like when they were rich. She invisions being driven around in a white carriage with driver, and that the Ingalls own everything in Walnut Grove, which is called Ingalls Grove in her dreams. Charles Ingalls was an awesome father to Laura, Mary, and Carrie. He was very mild mannered, and understanding. He didn't punish without reason. He allowed his children to explain themselves before punishing them. He was preticularly lenient with Half Pint. He never spanked Laura from what I've seen, or Mary or Carrie. Again, I love this video dedicated to showing the special relationship that Charles and Laura Half Pint shared. In fact I'm going to nickname my middle child Half Pint
Michael and Melissa cared very much for each other, and this is reflected in the show. I would hardly call it acting, more like just living. Melissa has described Michael Landon as very Paternal. I love the relationship that Charles and Laura share. It almost seems to me that the two of them got along better with each other then with the other cast members. Pa and Half Pint had the type of relationship that I hope to have with a daughter and or children of my own some day........
I have come to love this show, even though, I was too young to appreciate it when I was younger, and didn't watch it when I was younger. Melissa Gilbert is a superb actress, and Michael Landon is a superb actor. In fact, as far as I'm concerned Little House On the Prairie was about Melissa and Michael. This video is wonderful. It encapsulates the relationship that Melissa and Michael shared as themselves off screen and also on screen as Charles Pa Ingalls, and Laura "Half Pint" Ingalls......

no problem. :) AOA dvd ripper is a great little program w/ a free trial that doesn't seem to run out as long as you keep the clips under 10 mins.
