  • perfect

  • God, another riff ripped off by AC/DC. Man, AC/DC was shameless. This is a real revelation.

  • look at detroit now, much worse!

  • thanks for sharing this classic Detroit Band. I'm sharing Detroit made music today on my fb wall. woo hoo. That's my hometown.

  • Rocking what people do not understand! There is always reason in that!

  • @alexzivo The bands stance insured they became anything but rich. Its only in the decades after they split that they have become so widely known and their back catalogue sold as it has.

What has 'him' (or any band members) being Jewish got to do with being rich? the two are not mutually exclusive, or do you actually, really think that all Jewish people are rich?

  • the singers mash up here.

  • greatest solo of all time

    period

    period

  • 3:00 Using a guitar as a machine gun.

  • @dtownLaydowns And that's where Steve Harris learned it from.

  • This song about the riots in Detroit during the 1968 Democratic convention. MC5 played a gig in the park. Song is about that day, not about growing up in inner city Detroit.

  • @Blowtorch1964 The 1968 riots during the national Democratic Convention you refer to weren't in Detroit but in Chicago. The MC5 (an unsigned band at the time) played in Lincoln Park, Chicago, before the riots started. And Motor City Is Burning wasn't even written by the MC5, it's a song by John Lee Hooker (who lived in Detroit, although originally from Mississippi, of course) & the song is not about the 1968 riots at all, but a so-called "race" riot in Detroit in 1967

  • @Blowtorch1964 Hey man, its about the '67 Race Riots.... The riots in 68 were in Chicago!

  • @Blowtorch1964. that's not really correct. The MC5 played the Democratic convention illegally in 1968 Chicago. This song is unrelated. It's about the riots in Detroit in 1967. The national guard had to be called in and left 43 dead, 467 injured and over 7,200 arrests.

  • yes

  • Guitarists and drummer also strung out. They are on last legs here.

    Wayne Kramer still bad ass.

  • @alexzivo lol? Rich jew? College? He was Jewish, but fuck not rich, and COLLEGE? MC5 were the complete opposite of hippies dude, they would beat them up after shows, etc, and its not a rant, it's a song... Whats the point of your rant here anyways? This dudes been dead for a long time and doesn't give two shits what you think. Take it from me, we're related.

  • @RayManzarekGod Comments like the stupid one fro the one you replied to make me wonder why the idiot bothered to visit this video in the first place or stay long enough to comment.

  • @Gnottason They're just idiots with nothing better to do....

  • @RayManzarekGod I couldnt agree more

  • @Gnottason Right on bro. They probably just want to come here and piss people off and set them off.

  • Who is on Bass? Doesn't look like Mike Davis.....

  • @idf666 : That's Steev Moorhouse. He filled in on bass after Mike Davis was forced to leave the band due to his heroin addiction.

  • Absolute f*cking class!

  • it's good to see these boys in video form. i really dug the live version on kick out the jams. this is muy cool ese!

  • Very cool ! Nice to see the blue screen of death background gone. And at 1:06 the map shows the neighborhood where I grew up ! Thanks for posting !
