You made a good point about how difficult it would be to keep the peace when you are surrounded by people who have killed your friends and/or tried to kill you. I hadn't thought about how hard it would be to keep a truce on that day-to-day existence level before.
You laid out some good ideas in this vid re: how you can reach people - I hope you pursue them (or most of them - I despise spam in my email box and I do block folks who spam me, so I really wouldn't recommend that approach).
