It is interesting that members of the left will frequently turn to fear mongering to demonize that which they have little argument against. The left would have individuals who are disabled continue to live in poorly maintained public housing and working in sheltered workshops. As an advocate and father, it is time for the community of disabled individuals to push for real reforms and stop allowing either political ideology us it has nothing more than a political puppet.
@bodey041 Both sides are to blame but I'm unaware that the left has ever actively campaigned to cut services to the disabled. I can, however, point to hundreds of incidences of the right wanting to cut services to the disabled.
Both the left and the right tend to want to demonize and patronize the disabled.
We can thank him for one thing - exposing the under-handed tactics that will prey on members of the disabled community to try to get them to do their dirty work by "looking down" on other Medicaid beneficiaries. Not as stealth as Karl Rove but just as feeble in moral compass department.
@MiHiVidz It an weak argument to state that a political affiliation "hates" a group of people simply because you don't agree with a particular point of view. If a person has enough money to use for drugs, Iphones, Ipods, nice hair style, etc, the people should be thinking twice about supporting that person.
@bodey041 No. This guy is without any doubt a scumbag who HAAAAAATES the poor and the disabled, and he wants to abuse his power to come up with ways to make their lives even more of a Living Hell.
And what is wrong with someone on assistance having some nice things if they were able to save up for them or find them on sale? Do you think that people on assistance should not be allowed to wear anything but rags and scraggly haircuts? They are human beings too, and they deserve to have dignity!
Hey Idiot I know you must have failed school but last time i checked it takes a MAN and a Woman to make a baby...way to ignored the men not taking care of their responsibilities....
msamericanpatriot's comment is disingenuous considering your espoused beliefs elsewhere on the internet. Also, considering she is one of those who refuses to go get a job; it is hypocritical.
A lot of the "poor" have extreme entitlement issues. They can get jobs a WHOLE lot better than people with disabilities but REFUSE to do so. Therefor I HAVE no empathy for them. A LOT of them believe that if they spat out one more kid they can get an extra buck or two which could be used on people like me which sees it as a hand UP an not a hand OUT. If that speaker was talking to me he would be basically preaching to the choir because that is how I think.

What we have to do, is figure out a way to sterilize people like Thom Tillis. The world will be a better place sans the "Tillis Strain".

@msamericanpatriot
how is it that you know so well the circumstances and challenges of poor people?
i've learned more about you than 'the poor' from your thoughtful, considered, insightful comments...
