  • "Like a Dime bar" :D

  • I baked these last night. It all went PERFECTLY....until i got them out the oven-they all tasted the same (strawberry, lemon, orange and choc) I was so upset... so I finished them off and filled them with jam, marmalade and lemon curd and nutella and brought them to work as offcasts.....They are so yummy today!!! I think the filling makes a massive difference! It acts as a centre rather than a filling jammed between the macrons because it seems to 'soak in'! BE PATIENT! THEYRE FANTASTIC!!! :) X

  • Jenna Marbles <3 SIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGH <3

  • Would they taste okay with-out the ground almonds?

  • @CHALKFOX It would taste like meringue... and if you like meringue...yes. :)

  • Are you causing problems here? Lmfao

  • YES YES I CREATED ABUNCH of burned cookies i suck at cooking you make i look so easy

  • will it work if i added butter to the tray ? i dont have the silicon nor the baking paper

  • The batter shown in this video is extremely over mixed. I highly doubt you could get anything close to the ones that were shown at the end of this video. Overmixed and wet batter from that crazy amount of liquid coloring will just give you cracked macarons with no feet at all. I've tried that myself when I first made macarons. How on earth could the skill of macronage, I.e; combining the dry ingredients and the meringue be completely omitted? Seriously, I doubt anyone can churn out something th

  • Soo cuuute. xD

  • Sigh. I have no silicone mat, but I used greaseproof paper, and the macarons were sticky and couldn't come off the paper. They didn't have feet either and had cracked tops and didn't rise ;(

  • @therachaelite some varieties of greaseproof paper won't work. You're best to use "baking paper" or "silicon paper" if you don't have the mats.

  • @sortedfood I'm trying again tonight with baking paper. Hopefully it'll turn out better:) Thanks!

  • I made 2 batches, the first turned brown almost immediately, but were otherwise fine. The other batch, however... It came out pink as it should, but they were hollow. The bottoms stuck to the silicone mat resulting in weird domes, almost impossible to stick together. Any suggestions?

  • @pinksparkleprincess9 Oh no my friend. I think what you mean is that 'fine sugar' is American for castor sugar.

  • Mine didn't rise! They taste nice but I don't think there was enough air in them!

  • Mine were really flat like the host at church -.-

  • Whisked by hand. Beastly. :)

  • Since the English word macaroon can also refer to the coconut macaroon, many have adopted the French spelling of macaron to distinguish the two items in the English language. However, this has caused confusion over the correct spelling. Some recipes exclude the use of macaroon to refer to this French confection while others think that they are synonymous.[4]

  • what kind of a non stick pad thing is that o__o the red thing...

  • @flyingarnet Silicon bakeware... Ben's fetish!!

  • @sortedfood :oo thanks so much! I tried looking for sizes for my 9x13 pan but I couldn't find anything :/ do you suggest any companies and how much was your silicon sheet? A lot of the reviews I read said that theirs would warp in the oven or leave strange smells/tastes on their baked goodies. Love your videos :D!! So inspired to do something yummy for my upcoming art exhibit~

  • Krabby Patties!

  • i usually but chocolate in the middle :)

  • If jenna messaged me a video requesting something I think I'd faint, I dont know why it would just be funny and amazing. omg I'm such a weirdo.

  • Gigantic MnM's!! :D

  • I've been wondering about this for quite some time. But is there anything we can do with the egg yolk we DON'T use? Cause it seems a little wasteful not using it and I myself have no idea what to do with it lol.

  • @Arieta1117 Custard, perhaps??

  • @CelebrityStatus99 I don't know how to make custard O.<;;.

  • @Arieta1117 Don't you worry, the SORTED boys have a nifty little video on it!

  • @CelebrityStatus99 Nevermind, I found it! :> Thank you~

  • @Arieta1117 @Arieta1117 You can make lemon curd with the yolks. I make a quick one for lime meringue pies... Recipe is in BBC Food - lime meringue pies :) Hope that helps.

  • @poddersgirl1 Ooh :O Never tried lemon curd before. I should put that on my list too! Thanks! :>

I'm a 20 year old girl and my mum was starting to feel like she'd failed as a mother cos I could hardly cook a thing, but I watched a few of your videos and got inspired to start trying to cook, and the dishes I made turned out great! my mums so proud of me and I'm so stoked I can cook now :)

  • what are the measurements into cups or mls.

  • @karolinkab456

    1/3 cup caster sugar

5/8 cup almonds (chopped very finely)

    1 1/2 cup icing sugar

and instead of baking at 150 degrees Celsius, bake at 320 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • @olga3000emc thanks for that mate (:

  • for blue could you do blueberry?

  • That moment when you realise you can't eat them at the end of the video.

  • So, just a spelling mistake on the title of this video or are macaroons and macrONS something different?

  • how would you make them chocolate? just add cocoa powder? or melted chocolate? how much? thanks! :D

  • @RawrRashaPaw i think you could just make the filling chocolate or use cocoa powder!!!

  • ohh (disappointed) thought jenna would be with you guys sniff but it was great video though lol

  • hey can you guys help me out?

  • @Jon43283 wassup?

  • @sortedfood do u really have to add almonds? because my sister is allergic to all types of nuts just by looking at one she just blows up like a balloon!

  • Which temperature is in Fahrenheit?

  • IMPORTANT NOTE: "castor sugar" is british for fine sugar. I was in the grocery store forever trying to find it until I came home and researched it

  • @pinksparkleprincess9 *caster ^^

  • Whats teh difference between Macaroons and Macarons

  • what is the second thing added?

  • whats that yellow thing? is it blended almonds? or??

  • Can you please give me the ingredient amounts in cups? I can't find any conversions (grams to cups/tablespoons) online. Please help!! I want to give these to my friends on Valentines Day!

  • @rubberducky1235: france-property-and-information(dot)com/cooking_converter(dot)htm Ta-daa! replace (dot) with a period.

  • Teach us how to make coconut ones please! They would be better for the non-nut people too

  • I really want to make these for my girlfriend but she's allergic to nuts, so no almonds, any suggestions for replacements?

  • @OrangeIvory

You can make plain meringues without any almond, just egg and caster (or "superfine) sugar. They might not hold up quite as well with the ganache in the middles, but it wouldn't hurt to try :) Good luck!

  • @ sortedfood can u please reply back??? These look delicious but can you skip the almond? Do you have to use it?

  • What is the flavoring called? Extract?

  • @Bluejinxy19 I believe it's Vanila Extract

  • "guess what your job is Sammy"

    "WHISKING!"

  • do you have to use almonds?? im allergic to nuts. :(

  • made then last night - perfect!

  • mine ended up being too runny and when I placed it on my cookie sheet, it spreads out too fast. :/ I'll try and do it again.

  • Can I use meringue powder instead of egg whites? Or will the change the taste and texture?

  • What can I use other than castor sugar since they don't sell in US ? Or is Superfine a brand of castor sugar ?

  • @xMawnstur Caster sugar is basically just white sugar. There's no way they don't sell it in the US. XDD

  • @xMawnstur Castor sugar is like finer granulated sugar... you may have another name for it, or you could just grind up normal sugar

  • @xMawnstur castor sugar is just the British way of saying really, really fine sugar that's not yet powdered sugar.

  • I love macarons.

  • you could have used peppermint for the blue ones!! definitely going to be trying these!!! x

  • what are the differences between macarons and macaroons? :)

  • I like that Chef. Nice accent, too.

  • Pink To Raspberry And Raspberry Filling- Makes Sense Yellow To Lemon And Yellow Curd- Makes Sense

  • @PunkishPwincess Yeah I can teach you , send me a message on my account , with the flavour you want ! I'm french , I know :)

  • What do you bake them on ? Was that parchment/wax paper ? Thank you <3 [= .

  • Ha ha ha! They sound like my little brothers! "When do make them colorful?"

  • @lovecandeepink Noo , never ! Eggs or nothing , can't work without eggs

  • um sounds like, "Slutty wacky, Jenna marbles."

  • why does the pink seem lumpy?

  • If these dudes watched her show at all they would know that 'Marbles' is her dogs name.

  • @26syntax You are correct! Those are macaroons... But these are macarons

  • In my books macaroons are cookie things made with shredded coconut and chocolate.... these are more like meringues. They still look good though.

  • you're beating it by HAND?! trooper.

  • @SamuraiCarmen i find it easier with a machine ;)

  • no coconut?

  • @blognewb ah, no... they are macaroons! These are macarons!

  • @sortedfood So.. maybe you should pronounce them mak-kah-rons, not mak-kah-runes?
