@MrImpounds hey - you will find same options below were you add the layers window , i think its the third in the row click on it to repeat as many as you like :) i hope this helps alittle
Ahh, this helped me a lot. I don't know what I did right or what everyone else did wrong but mine turned out perfectly, none of the junk in the background.
@Yapoolasourus & @EVERYONE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. Here's how to fix it, go to file -> save as -> (do all of that saving junk...) save -> (click the "save as animation" bubble) export -> THEN!!!! under the frame delay, there's the box where it says "i don't care". Click that and go to "one frame per layer (replace). Save, then voila!! Hope that helps ^.^
@ReddNinjaaa You're amazing. This video didn't erase all the previous frames when it switched to the next one, so I did what your comment said, and it worked. Thank you so much :D
Heyy!! Say if I clear a Bg too! And wanted to keep it for myself then, Gimp itself to upload to different places!! How do I get that to do it?! If you know what I'm talking about!?!?!?! Anyone?!!! Plzz Everytime I save mines an want to upload it to like Photobucket or like anywhere elses it won't let me use it to do so?!
When I try and do this, the beginning frames will still linger as the animation proceeds. I have a horse running, so when the animation is going, the frames showing the horse beginning to run are still showing as the horse proceeds. How do I keep the frames in the back from staying? Background is transparent. Also, I don't know what add (replace) means. Thanks if you answer this.
I tried exactly the same thing, but it still leaves an animation in the background for some inexplicit reason. I would like to find out how to fix this.
Like, say I was doing a gif of a stick figure running across the image. It would still leave frames of the stick running behind. That's not what I want.
I can't get it to work. It doesn't turn to checkered pattern and I can't select add alpha channel, only to first frame (background). What I'm I doing wrong?
Plus the sound of mouse click in this video makes me want to ram my fist through the monitor.
@LazyTownableChannel You'll have to go through each frame and manually crop your subject if the background colors are of too much variety. This is actually what I had to do with this Mario gif, but that would be too long of a tutorial. If you go to my channel I have a tutorial on using the paths tool to crop images.
Please redo this from the start. I cant understand the beginning with the layers part because i cant figure it out how to do it. Like, whenever i open it just opens it in a new thing.
Rename the layer name to whatever the Frame is and add (replace) to the end like in the video. This will make it so instead of stacking frames, each frame will replace the one before it.
see the video tutorial in time 1:50 and where say 'Frame disposal where unspecified', change 'I don´t care' for 'One frame per layer (replace)' and you can see fine your animated gif.
I'm not using UberIcon in this video. This video uses my new computer, which comes loaded with Windows Vista Home Premium. My old computer (from My Desktop Of Ultimate Pwnage) is no longer used.
excuse me how do i get the lil box thingy that shows the layers?

3.Typed "(repleace)" In the attributes
Then uploaded to tinypic. What did I do wrong???

@DEUHDCEwh Type "(replace)" into the name for each layer.
Ex.
etc.
Layer 3 (replace)
Layer 2 (replace)
Layer1 Background
Hope that helps :)

I have an animation that I made in a program that exports it in GIF which sux.
Because I have to ad FX and some BG´s when I export it into another program and it can´t remove the Alpha channel.
So I have to do it manually.
Every 3572 frames of it!!! Dx
Yeah I´m totally not going to do that....
Is there another way?
