@SuperMp47 They're great for any game. They let you hear everything in the game that you can't hear with speakers, so it doesn't matter what type of game you play.

something happened to my P21's , audio comes only through the left speaker, not the right .. It was fine up until last night. Also, i've had these headsets since december of 2009. Should I try and get it fixed (if I can) or buy the new px5's ?

Why did you guys discontinue these for a multipurpose headset? Thats so cheap. Xbox have much better Turtlebeaches than us, yet you discontinue our only one and mix it with Xbox? i need help, when i plug in my RCA cables red to red, white to white, all the sound comes out the right ear, but when i plug it in red to white, white to red, it all comes out the right ear. how do i get it to come out both ears????
That is absolutely false. HDMI is for TV's and has nothing to do with headsets.
Basically, the P21 (or PX21) connects to the red/white RCA audio plugs on the standard PS3 A/V cable that came with your console. The HDMI cable still connects to your TV for audio and video to that.

Yes, I meant did you actually go to the store and look for the headset? Not all websites list what they stock in stores. Best Buy and Future Shop both have PX21's.
The P21 can also work on a PC, but you need an inexpensive splitter cable. We offer it on our site, but you can get the same thing just about anywhere.
The PX21 will work with anything.
They're both very very similar, except very minor differences like the PX21's ear cushions are a slightly different material and the headband is larger. If you don't have a huge head, then the P21 will obviously be fine. Plus, we have the P21 discounted on our website too.
okay not too long ago i purchased the P21 from Gamestop for 79.99 and i thought it would work for my 360 and my Ps3 and i can hear stuff and talk on the ps3 but on my 360 i cannot i can only hear no talking. We do not have any control over shipping, but if you purchased the headset from us, then contact our sales or customer support department and they will be able to provide you with more information if possible.
Shipping from New York to California only takes 5 or 6 business days max, so you likely did not purchase the headset a full week ago OR the online tracking simply hasn't been updated.

For the 1 Year warranty to work what would i need? I bought p21s some time ago when i had my PS3 but i got YLOD and so i sold my PS3 bought a 360 and completely forgot about my P21s until a couple days ago when i found it in one of the drawers, The right side doesn't make any sort of sounds, I connected directly to my PC and only left side works, Is there anything i can do?
Yes, that's the main difference. Also, there really aren't many issues with the PX21 at all. We've sold tens and tens of thousands of them (probably in the hundreds of thousands actually) and they have an excellent track record. If there was some huge problem, we wouldn't keep selling it. Either way, we have a full 1 year warranty on all of our products to protect our customers. No electronics product will be bullet-proof, so obviously some people will hit bumps in the road.
Why would you want the P21? We have the new upgraded PX21 available.
If you really want a P21, you can actually still purchase it under the Recertified category. Plus, factory recertified headsets like the P21 have some pretty sweet discounts too.
We have discontinued the P21 and now have the PX21. The biggest thing about the PX21 is that it's also compatible with the XBOX 360. Check out the PX21 vid for more info.
No, the A40 is a passive headset and is not PS3 compatible. In fact, it's only for PC by itself. The P21 was made for the PS3 and can also be used on a PC.
If you're referring to the full Astro setup with headset and Mixamp, then that is not an apples-to-apples comparison. The better comparison would be to put the A40 + Mixamp up against our PX21 + DSS surround sound processor. In that case, the PX21/DSS is better because it has more features and costs less.
HDMI sends audio and video to your TV. This does not come into play with a headset.
For the P21 (or PX21), you would connect the standard PS3 A/V cable that came with your console to send audio to the headset using the red/white RCA audio plugs.
Alternatively, if your HD TV has red./white RCA audio OUTPUT jacks, you can connect the P21 to those instead and bypass the PS3 A/V cable altogether.

Yes, exactly. If you use HDMI, then that cable will send video and audio to the TV.
The PS3 A/V cable will send audio completely separate to the headset.
Just go into the Sound Settings menu and activate the "Audio Multi Out" and that's it!

Yes, I meant did you actually go to the store and look for the headset? Not all websites list what they stock in stores. Best Buy and Future Shop both have PX21's.

The P21 can work on the XBOX too, but only for audio. If you need the mic on both, then check out our PX21.

The P21 can also work on a PC, but you need an inexpensive splitter cable. We offer it on our site, but you can get the same thing just about anywhere.
The PX21 will work with anything.
They're both very very similar, except very minor differences like the PX21's ear cushions are a slightly different material and the headband is larger. If you don't have a huge head, then the P21 will obviously be fine. Plus, we have the P21 discounted on our website too.

okay not too long ago i purchased the P21 from Gamestop for 79.99 and i thought it would work for my 360 and my Ps3 and i can hear stuff and talk on the ps3 but on my 360 i cannot i can only hear no talking. I was wondering if there was a way that you can get some kind of deal where you get the px21 at a discount if you trade in your old p21's thanks : )

Nope, sorry--we don't have anything like that available. You can try selling your P21 on Eba or Craigslist though.

We do not have any control over shipping, but if you purchased the headset from us, then contact our sales or customer support department and they will be able to provide you with more information if possible.
Shipping from New York to California only takes 5 or 6 business days max, so you likely did not purchase the headset a full week ago OR the online tracking simply hasn't been updated.

I understand. However, like I said--we have no control over shipping. Also, you can't count weekends as transit time because Fedex does not deliver on the weekends.

For the 1 Year warranty to work what would i need? I bought p21s some time ago when i had my PS3 but i got YLOD and so i sold my PS3 bought a 360 and completely forgot about my P21s until a couple days ago when i found it in one of the drawers, The right side doesn't make any sort of sounds, I connected directly to my PC and only left side works, Is there anything i can do?

For game audio, yes. The mic won't work.

Yes, that's the main difference. Also, there really aren't many issues with the PX21 at all. We've sold tens and tens of thousands of them (probably in the hundreds of thousands actually) and they have an excellent track record. If there was some huge problem, we wouldn't keep selling it. Either way, we have a full 1 year warranty on all of our products to protect our customers. No electronics product will be bullet-proof, so obviously some people will hit bumps in the road.

Why would you want the P21? We have the new upgraded PX21 available.
If you really want a P21, you can actually still purchase it under the Recertified category. Plus, factory recertified headsets like the P21 have some pretty sweet discounts too.

You can balance them any way you want to hear more game or more chat. Just don't put them on full. They should be around 50% - 70% at most.

No, the P21 is for PS3 only.
We have discontinued the P21 and now have the PX21. The biggest thing about the PX21 is that it's also compatible with the XBOX 360. Check out the PX21 vid for more info.

No, the A40 is a passive headset and is not PS3 compatible. In fact, it's only for PC by itself. The P21 was made for the PS3 and can also be used on a PC.
If you're referring to the full Astro setup with headset and Mixamp, then that is not an apples-to-apples comparison. The better comparison would be to put the A40 + Mixamp up against our PX21 + DSS surround sound processor. In that case, the PX21/DSS is better because it has more features and costs less.

Do you have to use the Left and Right Audio jacks when you use HDMI and if so can you use them without the PiggyBack jacks?

HDMI sends audio and video to your TV. This does not come into play with a headset.
For the P21 (or PX21), you would connect the standard PS3 A/V cable that came with your console to send audio to the headset using the red/white RCA audio plugs.
Alternatively, if your HD TV has red./white RCA audio OUTPUT jacks, you can connect the P21 to those instead and bypass the PS3 A/V cable altogether.
