I think we'll have to agree to disagree, because I apparently too old school to understand what passes for "energy." To me, The Ruts had plenty of energy, plenty for that song and every song. To me, they were masterful in their song writing and performance, and were a hell of a lot of fun.

I'll admit that Gallows version has plenty of energy, but that doesn't make up for a singer trying to sing a melody but instead belts out tone-deaf screams. He's just completely off in tone.
