@btchesheadsot Please understand that I only had this camera for about ten days to test for our website. And, that was a year ago! I don't use Adobe Premier, so I do not know if it will seamlessly import files into that program. The sound is good, but not great. I don't recall the file type (AVCHD) but you can probably find this on the JVC website. I uses a USB cable as I recall.
You obviously kept the HD quality, which I always lose having to convert my files to something Mac can handle - everything that was so bright and crisp on the little camera monitor still looks as blurred as when I took things with my blackberry.
Very beautiful. That's what I wanted to buy when I purchased it.
@TiborHuber I am pretty sure that was done with iMovie on the iMac. We only use iMovie and Final Cut Express here, both on an iMac. There are some good instructional videos on YouTube on how to retain the HD quality when using iMovie and exporting for YouTube.
@CruiseReport Thanks Cruise, amazing - it is exactly the same set-up that I have.
How do you open the camcorders MTS-files? I convert them with iskysoft, exporting to HD Quick Time Movie, 1280*720, High Definition H.264 (MC), 24fps and bitrate 10.000 (is that it? Should I go for 30.000? I think I lernt that this doesn't improve anything, but maybe it does).
Sorry to be bothersome, it's just that your movie is entirely what I had been hoping for in terms of quality.
Can you please upload the RAW, original video file created by the JVC to somewhere like Mediafire or Megaupload or Filefactory so that I can download it and watch it on the PC? YouTube compresses the file so we are not really seeing it as it should be because of loss of quality. Thanks.
@roshraw I have no idea. Not sure if there is away to. We only had this camera for a brief period for testing. You might want to seek out a JVC forum.
@scorbing The Kodak is in a totally different class of camcorders compared to the JVC GZ-HDs there is no comparison. If your just a auto shooter and require easy of use and small size than obviously the Kodak wins. But i think the JVC would have better low light performance.
song name please?

@wouterprosper Using a USB cable is what it is. Downloading files does take some time.

Hi im looking to buy this camera tommorow or maybe later. I was wondering if you could answer a few questions for me.
1. Will it go onto adobe premiere pro? (CS5)
2. Is it saved as a AVCHD file?
3. whats the sound like?
oh and 4. will it go onto editing software with the usb wire or will i need a fire wire?

Which editing program did you use?

Love the last shot.

scrobing, why would I take offense? I did not design the JVC, I just tested. I will, however, see if we can get a Kodak to test.

No offense, but the Kodak Zi8 HD Pocket camera has much better quality than this and costs $129.00!
