  • So presumably as there are all these high voltage ions floating around the shack which will blow your electronic devices, this video must have been taken with a clockwork driven cine camera.

    I enjoyed it though!

  • How about a ionic turbo like a turbine effect to keep adding trust to the air. ever think of that? I have for the past 10 years and I have shit that will blow your mind ..young padawan learner a model airplane that lifts of the ground from ionic air coming from the body and wings 300000 volts and a big lith ion battery 10 sec fly time lol I need a small nuclear reactor in it to fly for any amount of time

PS ..I Never seen nerds with hot chicks helping them in there experiments

    mad props LOL

  • The biggest quack idea of the century, ionizing air or water. A $5 radio shack idea hyped way up as if it really is better than a Hepa Filter or as if it really is that much more in performance when it's quite the opposite. It was proven that it can't keep up with the real world on Channel 7 News and yet they continued making unscrupulous claims right out of thin air.

  • The Triangular structure is the most stable someone can build while keeping it as light-weight as possible. The best design would be a cylinder, but it would be hard to keep the upper ionizing wire at the required even parallel height to avoid the arcing. For the cylindrical shape it would be necessary to add more support material for the wire and foil and thus making it heavier.

Yet, I'll probably try building a cylinder version anyway just to see how it flies. Maybe slightly conical too.

  • u seem like a smartass no offense... but what is the technical term for one of those triangle ion thruster thingies?

  • There was talk about the triangle shape on the live chat. Someone suggested making a structure similar to rolled corrugated cardboard.

  • lets make thermonuclear war.

  • I've noticed its always a triangle.

wonder how the effect would be with a star or tetrohedron.

ever read Nikola Tesla's decription of building his version?

  • first view and comment. great vids guys
