  • Isn't it exciting that physics and science PROVE YAHWEH ?

Our times are URGENT! The parable of the 10 virginis with their lamps. The ones without oil were doomed. We should have provisions laid ahead so we can focus on just Him, and watch for our bridegroom!

  • "If there had been 2% less mass in the universe, then there would have been too much of the heavy metals, making it impossible for there to be water and an atmosphere on any planet."

Can you please provide references to verify this statement? I fail to see how this could possibly be true.

  • Years ago I read a book by Dr. Hugh Ross at Reason To Believe Ministries. I think the title of the book was Thumb or Finger Print of God. He said there was a long list of things that had to be within a very small tolerance for the earth to be as it is. I am pretty sure my comment is accurate though. I should point out that I do not agree with the good doctor on all theological matters though.

  • Whenever a creationist talks about scientific matters, one should always be skeptical (kent hovind, discovery institute etc come to mind).

I'd love to know how he accurately calculated the mass of the universe, because thats currently unknown to science.

"mathematical likelihood of there being another planet in the universe that can sustain life as we know it is less than one"

Again, inconsistent with science. Where do you get these "facts"?

    Its plain dishonest.

  • It is true that many things need to be in place for a planet to sustain life - but to imply that its impossible for there to be any other planets harbouring life is taking a huge leap of faith.

We live in a galaxy which we havent even started to explore. There are billions of stars in our galaxy with the possibility of earth-like planets orbiting them. Then there are trillions of other galaxies. I'd say its more of a statistical impossibility that we are alone.

  • Dr. Hugh Ross agrees with you about how many galaxies (billions, not trillions) and planets there are out there, but he makes the argument that the statistical possibility of there being even one planet in the whole universe that can sustain life as we know it is less that 1%, so by his math it is a miracle that there is even one planet (Earth) that can sustain life. I would like to think there are, but I leave that to the astronomers and astrophysicists to argue such points.

  • "the statistical possibility of there being even one planet in the whole universe that can sustain life as we know it is less that 1%"

We know next to nothing about what is out there. Any calculations about possibilities of life on other planets in the entire universe would require a huge deal of guesswork and assumptions. So much so that the results are practically meaningless.

  • I'm curious...

"GOD CREATED THE UNIVERSE TO CREATE ME"

Do you accept that evolution happened? Or do you insist on the unsupported assertion that we were all created instantly 6000 years ago?

Most religious folk blindly deny evolution, and i'm curious as to what the religious folk who do accept evolution think... Or is that not you?

  • Your ignorance of what Christianity is, is showing. Christianity is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, not traditions, dogmas, and ceremonies. Neither Dr. Chuck Missler or Dr. Hugh Ross teach that our planet is only 6000 years old. Satan's kingdom existed and fell before Adam came on the scene, but we do not know how long before Adam. Also, TRUE science denies evolution. Evolution is a religion without basis ... just faith.

  • True science? As opposed to what?

Evolution is a well established theory and the only people who refuse to beleive it do so because it conflicts with their assumptions and presuppositions and not because of any evidence based reasoning.

You seem more than happy to use science when it suits you (to claim these facts that you put in the side bar) yet you refuse to accept evolution even though it was brought to you by the same scientific method. We know more about evolution than the universe.

  • Are you suggesting that those christians who beleive what the bible says (instant creation etc) are wrong?

What makes you so sure your version is right?

  • A theory is not a fact, it is speculation on what might be, but as of yet is not proven or provable in a controlled lab test.

The Bible makes it clear from cover to cover that Satans kingdom was on planet Earth, and that Satan (Lucifer) rebelled against God. The angelic war that ensued destroyed the Earths surface and had to be restored before Adam could be created. This is an explanation for the so-called Genesis 1:1 1:2 gap theory.

  • To finish a thought...

The question was, do all Bible believing Christians believe the earth is only 6,000 years old. No, not all do, and I gave the names of some who make a good case for their argument. And here is another ...

I refer you to this book: Another Time, Another Place, Another Man. A Biblical Alternative to the Traditional View of Creation. Based on the writings of Finis Dake who wrote the Dake commentary. Edited by Mark Allison & David Patton.

  • "A theory is not a fact, it is speculation on what might be, but as of yet is not proven or provable in a controlled lab test."

I strongly advise you to check up on what a scientific theory actually means, because you have it horribly wrong.

    "The Bible makes it clear"

What system do you have to verify that the claims in the bible are the complete truth? Surely you dont just beleive it because the book says so? Dont the conflicts with scientific investigation raise alarms in your mind?

  • In recent years much research has gone into providing us with inescapable proof of the divine nature of the Bible. This research shows that no human is capable of making prophecies and hiding messages with such inerront accracy, so it had to be God who inspired the writers of the books in the Bible.

I will give two examples of these wonders in the next two posts (I could give many more).

  • Theres no nice way to put this, but whatever "research" you provide me with, the inescapable fact is that religions that conflict with scientific research always have and always will be about censorship, baseless assumptions and pseudoscience. Creationists are renowned for being knowingly dishonest and misleading in their attempts to desperately try and cling on to fables in the bible that have been conclusively debunked by science time and time again.

  • I dont think we're going to agree on anything here, so we might aswell call it a day on this debate - but i do respect your decision not to censor the comments. Its unfortunate that most religious youtubers like to censor them all and only show comment which fit their view.

  • arkhaven you are wrong on so many levels that i wont eve bother.
