I climbed much steeper hills in a lot more mud and blew up those hills with my 1984 CR480! Death machine! I had a lot of respect for that machine. My Suzuki GS1000 was such a pussy cat to ride after being on this thing....

@kblopp My bad, it was an '82 that I had. The 1984 CR500 was an air-cooled motor and not very impressive compared to the 82-83 CR450 and CR480's. I still have a nice big fat ankle from that left-handed kick starting beast!

I've been riding my entire life. My 480 is a scary machine. I'm sure this one is too. it is several times the power of most of the 250s out there, and worse, it makes that power so low on the RPM band but on such a violent schedule that you could quickly make yourself dead by mistake. Especially with the early 80s suspension technology and 70s braking technology the bike sports.
