Went to BMT @ Lackland Sep 64, at that time there was large one floor bldg, where you had med/dental exams, clothing issue it had a nickname. Anyone remember the nickname for that building?
@EpsilonKias Let me tell you this, don't look forward to it getting done, cause then you'll just fuck yourself. Take it from me, I watched a member of my flight get phased back due to that shit.
@EpsilonKias Eh..by the end of the day you dont have the energy to think day by day...you just shut your eyes and what seems like only a sec later its reveille. Oh and heres a tip, you'll get charlie horses like hell but, pull up a corner of the linen and slide carefully into the bed and sleep at attention and then just slide out at reveille, then you only have to tuck in one corner and you're good to go...
the militarys branches talks about eachother but when for example the army tlks about the airforce about how they are weak or newbs or w.e when the army is getting their assed wooped and they call in usaf and the usaf comes and saves them they wont be tlking crap no more
@ClickClack445 nah, you wouldnt even think of it. you would be too busy trying to stay invisible so he wouldnt dig in your ass for no apparent reason.
no branch does more than the other . have you noticed they call in ground SUPPORT, air SUPPORT, navy SUPPORT key word is SUPPORT we are all a support group but together we are the u.s
Notice on all the videos you watch, people always say the Marines are the badasses... Just because your basic is harder, doesn't mean you're better, takes more brains to get into the Air Force, but all Armed Forces deserve respect.
I retired from the AF 3 years ago. I have worked with all branches of the service during my 22 plus years and RESPECT THEM ALL. Look people, we all have different missions to complete. We all think that our service is better than the others. I for one loved the AF and do not regret my choice to enter. I am sure if you talked to other services they feel the same way. The AF has one of the highest retention rates of all services. GO BLUE. Miss you guys and gals.
Anyone who is considering joining or is in DEP check out my videos in my favorites they are videos showing basic training from this year and Vlogs from people like this guy here. Good luck and thanks for serving out country Squirrelpewpew (what a great name lol).
They are NOT "Newb's" They are first "Rainbows", then " Pingers" then "Pickles" and finally "Jarred Pickles"!!! What we see here are in between "Pinger" and "Pickle"
@Underjoggle because the trainees get issued new uniforms...hes definitely been in longer than the newbies...so he got issued bdu's when he went through basic...use your head sometimes, it comes in handy :P
*sigh* Stop arguing about which force is better. All services NEED EACH OTHER to be successful. Stop acting like its ONLY the marines, or ONLY the navy, or ONLY the army, or ONLY the air force, or ONLY the coast guard. We each exist to help out our brothers and sisters of this great nation of the United States of America. Stop bitching, and START FIGHTING! Hoorah!
You Marines really like to talk smack. You think that because I didn't spend my deployment sleeping in a tent with 30 other guys or that because I had decent food and didn't have to scarf an MRE twice a day, I'm not a real soldier and I didn't fight the same damm war you did.
You know what the sad thing is? I get payed the same as you do and nobody treats me like a damm piece of meat....
@firesyde424 I'm a Marine, and I can respect this statement. I just can't say any other branch has it harder, but we all fight the same war. We fight for the same freedom. Oorah/HUA.
@iCuMlOuD I second that. Im going into the Air Force and my brother is going into the Marines and we dont argue witch branch is better or who fights more because we both know no matter what we're still brothers and fighting for the same country.
@iCuMlOuD marines have it harder because a lot is expected of them. they hold up the front line and provide support. what would happen if they choked during a high stress situation. everyone elses lives may be in the hands of a few marines and id just like to know they can be counted on.
@alexei4323 really kid. jus shut off your computer .take a walk. call your girlfriend . go to sleep . wake up. beat yo meat. then get back on your computer cause your talkin bs right now
@iCuMlOuD what freedom you fight for oil profits and global domination i am not say that you are wrong for serving your country but you are not fighting for global peace.get real my friend
@iCuMlOuD Army and the marines definetly get the shaft on the deployments.. but if anyone thinks they are gonna shit on me- working 10-14 hours a day fixing planes on the flight line and pretend that my work is so easy is gonna get a 4 foot torque wrench shoved up their ass.
@iCuMlOuD respect to you. your's is one of the few intelligent responses from your branch. truth is BMT is mentally taxing much more than it was physically. mcrd is more physically taxing than it was mentally.the idea is to prepare the member for the service mission.by my account, each service prepares their troops well .one is physically demanding, the other mentally demanding. missions accomplished. take care.
holy shit i agree, my deployment SUCKED cause Afgans sandbox is where its at lol and ur right we do get paid the same, thats y i dont listen when ignorance is spilled over whos colder or who get more sleep blah blah were all American soldiers man same team same team
@firesyde424 Jarheads are fed the illusion that they are the first in and the "tip of the spear head" but they really aren't. They are fed the illusion that they are the entire military fighting force. Do they know that if their ass gets stranded behind enemy lines, the Air Force will come to rescue them? No they don't. They also don't know that the Army is actually the first in Cavalry Scouts along with Rangers. And hell, even their buddies the Navy are in before they are.
@firesyde424 Ya this 'smack talk' is all petty stuff. I was in the AF and went to Pakistan a few months after 9/11, and then Afganistan and Uzbekistan after that. Not only did we work with the US Army & US Marines, but we worked with Canadian Army, Canadian Air Force, British Army, Scottish Army, Irish Army, Iraqi Army, etc. What's important is what we're fighting for, not who we're fighting with.
@jlara haha its actually the opposite my man ANYONE can join the marines, i saw a kid with a asvab of a 28 eligible to join at MEPS. i am in the air force and we in fact are overcrowded thus making it harder to ge tinto the air force because we are extremely DISCIPLINED individuals that are highly trained in our respect job areas. So get ur facts straight before u show ur lack of maturity and discipline by downing another branch, when were all on the same team. Show some respect.
@Jderb4711 I've seen Airmen on my base before and they look like civilians playing dress up. And those kids with a 28 ASVAB score are the kids with the most discipline fighting on the front lines everyday. The reason the Chairforce is overcrowded is because it's the easiest branch to join... your bootcamp is only 8 weeks!! Your physical fittness standards in bootcamp are way too low and your instructors take it way to easy on you. We're The Few, The Proud for a reason...
@jlara36 And guess what? I'm sure your some fucking computer jocky that sits behind a desk too. Even if you aren't. I would NEVER. EVER. Want to be in the marines, to see all the arogant fucks like you guys around, thinking you are better than everyone else. And like fire said, cool, guess what fatass, I get paid the SAME amount as you, how does that make you feel? So, go back to your little computer and try to tell me how much better you are, because they paycheck obviously doesnt say you are.
@EricCris10sen haha i totally agree i went 2 tech school with navy & marines & some marines challenged us 2 a race 2 the finish on their own obstacle course our best 5 verse theirs & we beat them by like 2 guys & they still think the airforce is weak & cant do shit its funny that they still have 2 b better especially since they only send marines out on the frontlines cause they're not important enough 2 keep alive. Excluding the ones that arent arragant & truely do this for themselves & others
@jlara36 Hey brother, the USAF is the HARDEST to join, your basic is the HARDEST, ours is cake, however anyone who wears a beret in the USAF earns that shit, far more than a tough basic training. Sure 80% of the USAF is mechanics and lawyers and so on, but don't generalize. There are Marines who go through bootcamp just to fiddle with helicopter parts... and then they try to tell USAF SF that they are in the "Chairforce". Just understand that every job in every branch is needed.
@jlara36 Oh yea and just for perspective, my cousin is a E8 in the Coast Guard, and rescues Navy Seals when they fuck up on swim training... but people still give him shit for being in the Coast Guard... because the Coast Guard is "pussy"...
@jlara36 It doesn't matter what branch of service you are. All of the branches work together. I don't know why, but it seems only servicemen from marines such as yourself talk down to all the other branches. I'm willing to bet that the Air Force might save your ass one day in combat when you are surrounded by the enemy. Show some respect.
@jlara36 conrads on your decision when do you leave for MCRD and where are you living right now (east or west coast)? I leave September 13th for MCRD PI you should take a look at my profile
@jlara36 ...Yea it is probably a good thing you went marines... after the air force I went on to become a licensed engineer and now manage the maintenance and troubleshoot all the electrical at a lock and dam for the corps of engineers. I like when marines want to work for me, I always need someone to cut the grass. They are scared to death of the computer, much less an mcc cabinet but they can mow like no other.
@jlara36 LOL you must be young. I can guarantee no matter what you think you might have done so far in your life, it wasn't giving me my "freedom". I served too and still do and I have yet to meet one veteran that is post WW2 that might have gave one American "freedom". I will tell you that you did a good by at least getting off your duff and getting a job, now if you want to really impress me, do something with your life once your done with the service, most fail after they get out.
@AGEUSAF I find it amusing that nobody from any other branch of service will admit that the Marine Corps is far superior than theirs. O well... not everybody can be a Marine.
only fags with absolutely no life join the marines and since ur all so fucking retarded u guys are front line infantry. which means what? lol so quit talking shit
@jlara36 Just to let you know, if you ask any of your higher ups which branch has had the most controbution in the war, they will inform you that it was the 'Chairforce'. I am willing to place a bet that without US.. your little happy self would be 6 foot under right now. Any REAL soldier knows this. Ask any special forces. So before you start dissing on people because we have to do knoweldge base work and not point and shoot. Just rember a guy sitting at a computer can kill more people then you
@Biodude377 Funny when we marched back to that block for our second clothing issue, and our MTI told us, "That was you two weeks ago."
That would be then-SSgt. John "Asshole" Lipinski: a solid-cut hardass that I have pissed off once or twice, unbeknownst of what really angered him. Still, I appreciated his sense of humor!
@twitchandswitch Its actually fun, just keep your mouth shut and eyes forward. The TI's will scream some funny stuff at people but make sure you only laugh on the inside. ;-)
@PlayItStraight Guess you can't, just receive a call saying that job counselor fail to read my medical form stating that i have a 20/25 vision so they put me back in DEP. really fuck me over since i got rid of all my personal stuff as well quitting my job.
@bibby42 it is incredibly easy. most people over think it and make it difficult, but it is extremely natural and simple. there is a drill guide book for each branch of the military, u can find it online if u google it. there are probably youtube vids as well.
My first day as a rainbow was"what are you looking at you bitch! Do we drink forties together?EYES FORWARD! YOu must be just about Stupid. OK repeat after me. Sir, Trainee Dumb Fuck Reports as ordered!."....

@jlara36 conrads on your decision when do you leave for MCRD and where are you living right now (east or west coast)? I leave September 13th for MCRD PI you should take a look at my profile
88isthenumber 1 year ago
@jlara36 ...Yea it is probably a good thing you went marines... after the air force I went on to become a licensed engineer and now manage the maintenance and troubleshoot all the electrical at a lock and dam for the corps of engineers. I like when marines want to work for me, I always need someone to cut the grass. They are scared to death of the computer, much less an mcc cabinet but they can mow like no other.

@AGEUSAF LoL I'd rather you thank me for your freedom.
jlara36 1 year ago
@jlara36 LOL you must be young. I can guarantee no matter what you think you might have done so far in your life, it wasn't giving me my "freedom". I served too and still do and I have yet to meet one veteran that is post WW2 that might have gave one American "freedom". I will tell you that you did a good by at least getting off your duff and getting a job, now if you want to really impress me, do something with your life once your done with the service, most fail after they get out.
AGEUSAF 1 year ago
@AGEUSAF I find it amusing that nobody from any other branch of service will admit that the Marine Corps is far superior than theirs. O well... not everybody can be a Marine.

@21QUACKATTACK21 LOL what kind of name is "QUACKATTACK"???
jlara36 1 year ago

MrDickMoore 1 year ago
@MrDickMoore i have no idea how to march or drill, any advice?
bibby42 1 year ago
@bibby42 it is incredibly easy. most people over think it and make it difficult, but it is extremely natural and simple. there is a drill guide book for each branch of the military, u can find it online if u google it. there are probably youtube vids as well.
