  • Id love to do this with my 08 gt but I want it to be a cross country car. Idk how these mods would fair with mpg. But I bet its a hell of ride in the streets.

  • Semper fi

  • I see lots of money there.

  • im jealous...

  • did you have piston to valve clearance when dropping those cams in.I just bought a set for my 4v build.

  • Nice cobra swap man i got one in my 98!!! gt

  • where did u get the seats?

  • very nice mustang. One of the best sounding stangs at idle ive ever heard

  • Sounds like a thousand little angry sparrows under the hood.

  • @bluecapone my GT was the same way....noisy tensioner pulley.

  • kick this mule, let's see it run.

  • NICE!!! What exhaust are you running?

  • Where did you buy the part?

  • Comment removed

  • sounds great. i keep watchin the video just to listen to it.

  • is it very streetable with those cams?

  • look at that deployment money..lol i did the same thing semper fi

  • What's squeakin'?

  • @jlplace the supercharger he's got on their squeeks, just about all centrifugal superchargers sound like that at idle

  • Stage 2 or 3 cams?

  • @cheeko1313

These are the Stage 4 Race Grinds ;)

  • @12secgt

Would you happen to know the specs of them off them? I was looking at the stage 3 but didn't see specs on the stage 4s.

  • so can i put different heads on my 2 valve to make it a 4 valve and then just shabam have a 4 valve? or what else would i need to change?

  • @FordsBetter516

it's not quite that simple but, it's not too difficult either. You would need to change only a few things including some wiring in the harness (easy), and of course a different timing cover, valve covers, etc. I believe the coolant hoses would have to be routed differently as well. I'm sure there are other little things I'm forgetting but, it's not too bad

  • @12secgt would it be worth it? i want a kenne bell supercharger for my 02 GT. how will that effect it?

  • @FordsBetter516 I just did a 4V swap in my 97GT a couple months back and it was actually alot easier and cheaper than I thought. Still used the stock harness and computer, just had to extend a few wires (IAC, etc) then have it tuned. I found a wrecked 94 Mark VIII with low miles for 400 bux. Since they use aluminum blocks I just took the whole motor, tore it down to the block and re-gasketed it from top to bottom, then found a 98 Cobra intake w/ rails and IMRC deletes.

  • @12secgt HEY CAN WE USE YOUR VIDEO ON OUR WEB SITE ??

    PLEASE CONTACT ME LOUIS@CROWER.COM

  • @FordsBetter516 ur also gonna need the whole setup as an 99-01 cobra if its a new edge. meaning front timing cover, lower and upper intake injectors which by the way i have a set. and a front timing cover too. an alternato which i have and coolant cross over which i have. i took all that off cause i did an eaton swap on my 01. not too bad

  • @FordsBetter516 dude is that a serious question???? you can NOT bolt on 4v heads on a 2v block... you have to get the entire bottom end to match the heads...

  • @SPEEDRAZER1 yes i know there is a lot of stuff that needs to be changed.

  • @SPEEDRAZER1 all the ford 4.6 and 5.4 heads are interchangeable. Yes you have to change the wiring and ecu and some other things but the heads just bolt up.

  • @FordsBetter516 its much easier if u just get ur 2 valve heads machined cause the 2 valves are a good head and will produce power its just the 3 and 4 valves flow better and are more efficient

  • we have a nasty on our hands

  • Semper Fi

  • Where are you getting this sound from?

  • why so much overlap on a low revving motor or was this a stage 3 build with new rear gears

  • where did you get the "little" 4.6? Is it built?

  • @halohadel

Yes it is built. 97 Aluminum block .020 over, Manley Billet I beam Rods, Diamond Dished pistons, knife-edged forged Cobra crankshaft, ARP Hardware

  • sound's mean,but ya gotta loose the flowmaster,everyone has them,go with cherry bomb's extreme you'll lovem

  • epic win

  • Sounds and looks great!

  • @matthewt2010 thanks!

  • Is That a 5.0 Swap?

  • @V2P22 no, just a little 4.6...it is a 4 valve head swap though. It used to be a 2 valve overhead cam motor.

  • @12secgt o word hell yeah that a pain n the ass to do? was thinking of doing that on my 04...

  • @12secgt

How much did you end up spending on the DOHC swap?

  • damn that is sick im hopin to get my '02 GT cammed, i hope it sounds even half as sexy as that beast.

    good work man

  • Can this particular setup pass emissions?? ....or does it just "pass" (wink wink)... I'm def planning some kind of modular build but I'm not sure if I should use stock cams or aftermarket with a blower..

  • Doubt it but, I don't have to pass emissions in Ohio ;) You could possibly make it pass if you put some high flow cats on it and messed with the tune. I don't have the EGR on mine either. It would need to be put on.

  • couldnt tell your a ford guy with the orange one sitting next to it love the sound hoping to make mine sound as good.

  • Ive got a hard on as well that Stang sonds beautiful. I wish to have my baby sound as good.

  • your license plate says 2V yet description says cobra engine(4V)

  • yeah, didn't have my BLWN4V plates yet.

  • @patricklipomp 2 vaginas at a time

  • i need a recording of the sound of that stang to play during sex......

  • Dude, I got a fucking hard on a mile high right now. You got mine mustang beat, for sure. Nice freaking car...

  • thanks lol

  • dude by FAR the best mustang I have ever heard. My new years resolution is to get my vortech on my 04 GT. No 4v, but It will be quick too!

What numbers are you makin? Nice car man. What did you pay for the 4v + misc parts to make it work in the GT? Did you do the install yourself?

  • thanks, the car made 668rwhp in this trim. I paid $6500 for the fully built assembled longblock and not sure on the install costs. i did not do the install.

  • I have a 1995 F-150 with a 302, i have a stage 2 crower cam, perform roller rockers, cold air intake, forged pistons, and comps cams valve springs, with true dual exhaust with all 3 inch pipe, i havnt put it all in yet cuz i am broke, but will it have a mean idle like your car does???

  • I have no idea. I'm not very familiar with pushrods. Good luck to you and post a vid when its done

  • so would I have to have a super charger in order to use thoughs cams??or would it not matter. noob sorry lol

  • you wouldn't have to but, your performance wouldn't be optimal. You can get custom ground cams for your application that will sound just as good I'm sure

  • What seats are those? They look great.

  • Corbeau Legacy LG1 Microsuedes...thanks!

  • that car is power and the cobra next it is what i want to see

  • you don't want to see that rag...it is tore up. It's probably the crappiest Cobra out there. It made good power. It had a KB makin 600ish rwhp. Now he has a turbo but is having problems.

  • nice work man. dont see a lot of centrifugals on mustangs.

  • thanks

  • gas mileage must be a bitch lol

  • lol oh yeah

  • looks like mine except i got an 01

  • Sounds almost like the 'Super Snake' version of Eleanor! Kick ass 'Stang, my man : D

  • any dyno #'s

  • 668 rwhp 540 torque

  • Very nice, love the sound. Got till feb 22 till i ship to paris island, mos 1142. did u start ur build in the marines or after?

  • I got the car about two years after I joined

  • its only fitting that a badass marine has a badass car!

  • Man! I think I'm blushing after watching this.lol Nice ride guy!

  • bad ass car bro, im lovin the EGA on the license plate too, i leave in 7 weeks for basic training.

  • thanks...enjoy your vacation haha Semper Fi

  • that'll blow the skirt off a girl or two.

  • Are those the stage 3 cams?

  • Crower Stage 4 cams

  • Its a vortech T trim

  • Sounds awesome. Flowmasters? I love the lope from the cams. And what brand of supercharger is that?

  • Im new to cars. what are cams and what do they do?

  • Too much to explain here, Bing it.

  • ur car is definitly my favorite car on all of youtube!!

  • Thanks! It's my favorite too lol

  • MmMm ur car sound's SoOo sexy!!!

i can't wait til u let me drive it, hehe

  • that thought scares me...but I did make a promise

  • what stage cams are they you said ? im looking into either building my 281 or buying a stroker

  • Stage 4 Race Cams made by Crower

  • how has that affected your mpg ?

  • haha...I get about 13mpg.

  • I'm sure its well worth it.

  • that would be the wrongest question on the planet to ask... thats like asking how fast is your hybrid..... ?? WTF

  • sounds sweet

  • what kind of tailigths are does??and were can i find them??

  • hey man there not actual tail lights, there just tail light covers, smoked tail light covers, you can get them at any part store

  • she sounds beautiful nice work buddy

  • y is it always one dumbass says "sounds like ya unplugged a vacuum line" lol derrrr... sounds good man!

  • Simple answer? Because they let idiots have internet connections.

  • wher you located?

  • northern virginia

  • where at? i live by springfield

  • yea it does

  • exactly what i was thinking lol

  • yea i meen im not the type that goes to the track often, i know the cam is goingto sacrifice a little power down low but was there a big difference when in the power band from stock to cammed? and yea i would do it just for that sick ass sound

  • ive got an 04 gt full exhaust and cai, the headers were a bitch to get on so i could only imagine how time consuming a cam would be, like honsetly do u really think its worth it...considering the power you gain to the amount of time/money it cost? im not being sarcastic im really asking, beucase i dont know if i should do it...thanks

  • It all depends on what you want...if power is your main concern, then cams are not worth the money unless you are building your motor and port your heads and supercharge it. They sure do sound good though.

  • Really, cams are not worth the money if you want power? Not criticizing, just wandering, why not, b/c i wanted a cam to delay the intake and exhaust timing for that sound, I don't know, please explain!!

  • sweet car.

    semper fi.

  • X or H pipe?

  • nice EGA on the plates

  • how much did it cost to get them in stalled

  • I got a deal on the install but I would imagine it would cost you near $1000 to get them installed. You have to lower the motor in order to install the cams. Alot of work, plus there are 32 valve springs that have to come out to be replaced with high-lift springs. Very time consuming.

  • sounds really nice!

    awsome car man 5*

  • thanks...

  • hey i got a 01 cobra and want it to sound like that can you break it down barney style for me on what i need to do and about how much it will cost me

  • You would need to buy the camshafts, high lift valve springs, possibly larger fuel injectors, and a larger Mass air meter. For exhaust, you would want Lontube headers, an off-road prochamber mid-pipe, and flowmaster cat-back. All that for parts alone would cost you about $3500+labor charges for install

  • Thats rediculous it cost less than $500 too put a cam in a 5.0 thats with paying someone too install it...Sounds great though man i just wish it wasnt so damn expensive for these modular motors : (

  • That sounds amazing! I really want Crower Cams

  • thanks...

  • What's the word on that Cobra? Lol. Car sounds great.

  • do have to modify anything when u put in a cam like that?

  • yes, you have to have a custom dyno tune, larger Mass-air meter, and valve springs. Sometimes you will have to get your pistons notched, it just depends on what kind of pistons you have and what motor you have.

  • i have got a 6.0l in 05 silverado. what u think?

  • I have no idea about those motors...

  • yeah you need the springs, tune, pushrods, harmonic balancer bolt and possibly larger injectors just depends on the injectors if you have a flex fuel 6.0 injectors should be fine.

  • thanks man. and how much you think all that will cost?

  • tune depends on who you use, the other stuff would be around 650.00-750.00 for parts and this also depends on what you get. Then you have LABOR, gaskets, oil, filter and other misc that you may need. I figure on mine I had around 825.00 altogether and I did install myself so I had no labor.

  • sell it and by a power stroke

  • power choke

  • how do you get it to idle like that? is it the cam?

  • yes, it's the cam responsible for that idle.

  • SIIIICK!

  • ok seriously what was involved in changing out your cam...was it a big job honestly did u need to get nigger injectors or are they still stock and did u have it done or did u do it yourself if so how much was the install and what are the specs on the cam

  • It will be at least $5000 if you have dual overhead cams with parts and labor. Injectors, valve springs, Mass air meter, tune, and the camshafts themselves...specs are on crower's website. Part number is 62825-4 Stage 4 race grinds...

  • brids are chirping tonite......

  • what all did you have to do to get it to sound like that? just a cam or?

  • cams, longtube headers, off-road procamber midpipe and flowmaster mufflers

  • i just jizzed

  • The car is sick! and why the f would he care if 87 is .30 cheaper I run 110 in mine on the street tune and c16 in it on the race tune.

110= about 8.25 a gallon I just buy it at the pump out here.

C16=$625 for 54 gallon drum that is 11.57 a gallon.

But the car does not see but 100 miles a week so its not to bad.

  • shit that is sick

  • y not a vortech......vortech's can put out some bitchen power if u tune it right......and u can run 87 with a vortech

  • why would you want to run 87 octane?

  • because its 30 cent a gallon cheaper were im at

  • if you want to race, don't half ass it, go for super lol, if you can't afford it, don't race and get a honda for gas lol

  • not everybody can afford to run on 93

  • Why'd you choose a vortech?

  • because it already had a vortech on the car when i bought it...I just upgraded the head unit. It uses the same bracket.

  • What stage cam are these

  • stage 4's

  • Any Exhaust Mods?

  • MAC longtube headers, MAC Prochamber, and Flowmaster Catback

  • what stage cams are these

  • hey VERY nice mustang! I have a V6, but Id like to get a cam. any idea how much?? (no GT cuz im 19 and I can barley afford gas and insurace and a car payment...)

  • kid, just be happy you got a car, you don't put cams on a freakin V6!! wait till your 25 and buy a V8 Stang and then do all the shit you want to it.

  • 97 4V heads? ported? sounds very good. have some numbers?

  • yes, ported heads. made 637rwhp on 93 octane and 668 on 104

  • very nice car man.

  • wow great car man

  • So will it smoke that 03/04 cobra next ot it?

  • it better haha...

  • nice ride! sounds good!

  • First of all, SEMPER FI. Second, who put the blower on?

  • Excessive Motorsport did ALL the work to this car.

  • how much was the work? I called Livernois motorsports, they told me 17,000 bucks for engine mods and exhaust. I called modular mustang racing and they told me 7000 for a new long block engine with race cams, stage2 heads, pistons etc. , what do you think I should go with to modify an 08 GT

  • MMR is awesome! Their 950 Stroker motor is the way to go...KEEP YOUR 3 VALVE HEADS! You can have them ported by someone, even MMR if you want. What do you plan on doing with the car? Superchargerd? Turbo? NA?

  • Hey man, Kick ass sound. The specs on the cam says you'll need ECU tuning. Did you tune it yourself with a hand held or take it to the dyno???. I'm about to start my cam project and want to know it a hand held will do the trick. thanks

  • Blown 2v my ass! You should keep the plates. Makes for a nice sleeper.

  • I just noticed your Marine plates, I just enlisted last week leaving for boot camp sometime this summer!

  • good luck, son

  • Get Ready to die you idiot. Why dont you just jump off a building and shorten the trip? Didnt know they still made your kind.Read often?

  • Nice sound. Are you running a stock motor?

  • Are these Level 2 or 3 Crower cams? either way the car sounds awesome!

  • stage 4's

  • wow, does anything else need to be upgraded to run them? such as fuel system, exhaust system, ported heads etc...

  • for just the camshafts, you will need high-lift valve springs. That is all. If you plan on running alot of horsepower then, yes you will need to upgrade the fuel system. You don't need ported heads but, they are a nice way to make more power.

  • That's a nice lope to that idle, whats the intake and exhaust duration on those cams?
