You have tubing on the reels of your combine. Can you tell mw why you have it on there and how you put it on.

its called a pick up reel, it makes combining in lodged crops much easier. theres teeth on the tubing that picks up and pulls the crop onto the head

good looking old 40.  What year is it? We run a 78 model with a 1020 header on it. Good old combines, just wish we had a feeder reverser and elecrothydraulics. Ours has the cable system for the header heigth.

Its a 78 too. It also has the cable header height control as well. We quit raising beans so we dont use it anymore. Our has a 820 header though.
