Thanks for putting this up! I was there that day in the front row! I had taped this off TV on VHS and I dont have the tape anymore (gave it to the friend I went to THE TODAY SHOW with). Met some of the guys in the band that day and they were very nice. Very fan friendly.

Vivian Campbell seemed to have been a much better guitarist back when he was in the band DIO. For stuff I've heard him do, his solo in Def Leppard's cover of Badfinger's "No Matter What" is disappointing. This solo also doesn't seem to fit as well as the original solo performed on lap steel.

The album is their dedication to the bands that influenced them. The songs are all over the place as far as style, because they covered a variety of different bands/artists. As a professional musician myself, I can tell you that it's a great treat to hear famous bands cover your works in tribute. Let's not forget 2 things - this is their 2nd biggest tour ever, and they are too well off to care about impressing anyone. They play for their fans and themselves equally.

Check out Badfinger's song called "Suitcase" the live version. It has some of the best slide guitar and lead guitar in it which was performed by Pete Ham--the man who wrote "No Matter What." I believe it was Paul McCartney who said that Pete Ham was one of the best guitarists he had ever heard. Also, Badfinger had worked with the Beatles quite a few times. Def Leppard, on the other hand, only worked with Tim McGraw...who sucks.
