I do NOT support a two state solution as there is now no chance for a viable Palestinian state due to Israeli settlements. Palestine was not created by the British, as countless maps of the region from the time of the crusades would prove. The only solution left now is a one state solution, a bi-national Palestinian-Israeli state.

What right did the Arabs have to invade and occupy Byzantine Palestine or the Romans to take Jewish Palestine? You don't seem to want to overturn those pieces of imperialism (nor am I - but at least I'm consistent that no one will or should get 100% of what they want). And if your argument is the Arabs had occupied Palestine for nearly 1400 yrs, well then what? All the Jews need to do is stick around and fight long enough also? As for the creation of Palestine - the borders were created by the British under a Leage of Nats mandates. Under the Turks, there were 3 separate sanjaks, there was never an independent Palestinian entity nor was there ever a demand for one until the 20th century. Various Arab nationalists in and out of Palestine considered it to be Al Shams (greater Syria). This in no way undercuts legitimate rights of the Arab peoples there, but lets not speak of it as a country or a state (yet)

Well if you really want to get into post-WW2 only, most Jews were there, enough for partition, prior to 1945. And it seems arbitrary to say we will accept all forms of colonialism as long as it was prior to WW2 does it not? No one has the right to take away anyones land or force them off. But neither the UN or the Balfour declaration did that. (as to your last question - sure)

As for a bi-national state --- even the Scots and the English after all these years have trouble getting along, even more so the Flemish and the Walloons. Moreover, how would one preserve minority rights when half or more of the population (Arab) would be intolerant of things like blasphemy and homosexuality, whereas the other (Jewish) tend to be secular and liberal? Palestinian Muslims & Christians and up until the advent of Zionism Palestinian Jews lived as neighbours in relative harmony.
