  • Great match by some of the best guys on the planet!

  • That is a example two AWESOME!!!! Warriors in Action.

  • renzo e kyra na torcida

  • Old school basic jiu jitsu beats funky shit

  • No real judo match looks like that, thats typical bjj standup for you...

  • 6:24 epic

  • are they in the same weightclass?

  • @DarkNshY "absolute" means that it accepts all weights. It usually occurs after the common competition, classified by weights.

  • no roger is just freak of nature with fucking long legs lol

  • all that standing i sorta thought i was watching a judo match...this i a bjj standing game of chess

  • never let roger on top...

  • rogers judo gives him an advantage when its on the feet his grip fighting is betr and u jst no he will get them down claim that first 2points hes bigger and stronger than most

  • hey that was cool roger held the arm to the inside for the throw

  • Was Roger awarded points at 6:30 for the guard pass? It's hard to tell

  • How tall is Roger? Does anyone know?

  • Comment removed

  • @cocobajo 6 feet 5 inches i think

  • omg....that was sooooo awesome.

  • Saved by the bell.

  • It's annoying when people attribute Roger's success to his size. His natural weight is only about 220 and there's plenty of grapplers bigger than him competing on the circuit. His technique is ridiculously good and his record shows that.

  • @B0l0joe bs, his size is a huge advantage, especially in this fight.

  • @Trigun225 Size matters, i don't dispute that. It's just annoying when people credit roger's success to his size... he's a lanky 220, max. He's the greatest bjj player of the modern era too, that's all that matters.

  • @B0l0joe did roger gracie even win? i didnt see any tap from andre. or was the time just up. and really the greatest of the modern era? lmao ribeiro beat him 3 times.

  • @Trigun225 Yes Roger won. Yeh xande has beaten him on points 3 times (roger tapped him out in no-gi ) but Roger has been more dominant in terms of accomplishments. Xande is definitely one of the greats though

  • @Trigun225 lool roger beat xande 5 solid times with submissions and and decisive points victories like 12-2 plus roger beat xande twice with RNC choke at 2005 adcc both in his division and absolute division while xande beat roger 3 times 2 times with close points victories like 2-0, 4-2 and on advantage. roger is clearly better but alexande ribero is amazing and on my list the secound best of all time

  • @Trigun225 plus if you know anything about jiu jitsu you should know that roger clearly won this match. roger took him down, passed his guard twice, took his back and mounted while andre dint do nothing its 16-0 to roger. galvao is awesome but got absolutely dominated by a much better bjj fighter.

  • @poganla123 You're obviously retarded. This is the absolute divison, Roger has around 40-50 pounds on Andre Galvao. Both are AMAZING BJJ practitioners but all else being equal, size matters.

  • @spitinsk8er you are stupid and foolish and bastard. hehehe obviously i know its the absolute but the fact remains galvao chose to fight the absolute and he lost to a much better roger gracie. galvao has nothing to be ashamed of.

  • @spitinsk8er I think the difference is about 20 pounds. Altough Roger is much taller.

  • @poganla123 andrea just won in both open weight and 87kg 1st place. and he was just in tokyo and now in hong kong and him and his wife both won 1st place gracie world cup. now a 9 time world champion. "...much better bjj fighter" ?im not so sure. size advantage**

  • @Trigun225 you said it yourself that andre just one absolute in adcc were he faced dudes much bigger than he is and he beat them. plus all the things you said galvao just one he dint face roger. braulio submited galvao in adcc absolute finals in 2009 while roger handles braulio whenever they roll at roger gracie acdemy

  • @poganla123 You can't argue that so and so lost to so and so. The fact is, whoever is more prepared, less tired, more physically fit, etc, etc will be victorious. To say someone is "much better" can't be measured objectively unless they have very extensive experience fighting one another. A few fights just isn't enough to measure this. Someone can win one time, lose the next time, win again, and lose again. These are 10 minute fights fought in tournament style. It's never a sure thing.

  • @ericmhanks you could be right but its not the case if you win the tournament every single time you enter like roger does lately he's a 14 time world champion no one is even close to getting that type of record

  • @poganla123 But it does apply. Roger Gracie has been at it in the black belt division for years and years! Andre Galvao is a rising super star. Maybe I'm just a little biased toward Galvao.

  • @ericmhanks what???!!!!!!, rising?? no way!!!, galvao been competing and winning championsips at blackbelt level since 2005. galvao been in the black belt level for many years too, roger is just better overall is all. galvo is amazing but roger's overall game is superior

  • Two high class jiu jitsu guys here. Goddamn Roger is tall

  • 6:21 gflop fail

  • of course it would be nice to be Roger fricking Gracie.

  • must be nice to have a large size advantage and a large skill advantage

    fyp

  • lutaoooo !!! Ossss

    valeu pelo post patolento !

  • must be nice to have a large size advantage
