300 is actually a wrong telling of thermopylae out of 300 there was over half of the army who left the commander in the last days of war over half of them left because they thought the commander was a maniac..

But imo theres a low reason to justify bravery of a people from one incident which happened over 2000 years ago..

They fought for their people and today its not about being brave who decides victory but simply the one who is the most intellectuall..

those brave Spartans held their own 300 against 10000

Sikhs fought on the 12th september 1897, 21 Sikhs to 10000 Afghans, and the Afghans retreated.

Sikhs in 1984 stood 252 at Harimandar Sahib and fought the immense army of 10000 which surrounded them.

Those who fight in the name of rightousness, fear no enemy whatever their size, and BTW there is no point having a competition between Spartans and Sikhs because Sikhs are descended from those same Spartan Greeks who invaded Persian India

ive read that the 21 singhs killed 624 afghans - with more killed when reinforcements finally arived after the battle.

the last singh remaining on the battlefield was Ishar singh, they literally could not kill him as he bunkered down in a narrow corridor, anyone who entered would die. They eventually killed by setting the place on fire
