  • now that i realized its just mike its kinda weird cause hes basically just talking to himself lol

  • okay, i have a great idea: a deep pit...Jar-Jar Binks, Chris Tucker and Andy Dick...one way out...and one chainsaw. what do you think?

  • atrocious movie

  • omg wiggles mcsad clown made me shit myself

  • Man, this looks like one weird film!

  • I was drinking cocoa and 1:32 almost gave me a spit-take

  • That is so gay, I believe it circles back again to heterosexual.

  • a whole rifftrax done just by Mike Nelson, yes please!! :)

  • B..b..b..boron...

  • 4:15 I thought it sounded more like a pile driver, or just a construction site in general

4:27 Sounds like the start of a joke to me

6:15 Don't you mean the living... Smurf?

    OR

The moment she came on screen, James Cameron smurf called studio executive smurf, and said, "I'd like to make a movie based entirely on THIS."

8:45 He looked more like kiln-fired pottery to me: shinier, less malleable

8:46 Did anyone else notice the field of pillars covered in giant condoms?

  • @artistwithouttalent

11:00 So what should Brian Adams sound like?

    ...

Something just occured to me: I just riffed a riff and the movie it was riffing...

    3RD DEGREE RIFF-CEPTION

  • lol dreamt i was in hudson hawk

  • mm Burger King.

  • I'm writing down 'I for one refuse to act' for later use. xD

  • The appeal of Rifftrax comes from all 3 guys bouncing the jokes and riffs off each other. One guy doing it alone makes me think of the obnoxious dude in the movie theater who just won't shut the fuck up. Nothing personal towards Mr Nelson, of course.

  • papa smurf called lawsuit smurf and sued the shit out of her

  • "What's the purpose of the retractable cactus?"

  • Doesn't work w/ just one guy. You can just feel the awkwardness of him making the jokes all by himself.

  • WTF??? Lee Evans??

  • that black guy is so FUCKING annoying

  • what no d-bo jokes?

  • I knew a Hudson Hawk joke would be here

  • @hornymaneee yeah really! when is rifftrax gonna take that movie on?

  • is it just me or does the thumbnail look kind of cartoony?

  • amazing movie

  • hmm they diss weird al but do a rifftrax with him on the jurassic park one. problem?

  • @JetBlackNero I don't think the dis was meant to be taken seriously. I've done videos on my other channel razzing people that I actually like, and they understand that I mean it in jest. It's just friendly-natured ribbing, probably.

  • @WesHatesYourMovie pffft,..."razzing"

  • @WesHatesYourMovie What about when Mike said "You Chris Tucker, never breath again, ever"....?

  • Really hot...

  • 10:08 HEART!!!

  • Everybody, Chris Tucker. Performing the part of Ruby Rhod on what appears to be a near-lethal amount of cocaine.

  • @Apollomasque

Cocaine!?! No way! Chris Tucker attempting early 90's Michael Jackson... Someone gave that dude a beer bong full of vodka, drain-o and toad sweat!

  • Monsignor Buttugly! I'm going to name my next kid that

  • Vin Diesel... Vinegar and salt potato chips... Vagisil.. XD

  • As far as I know, Mike is the only one that will sometimes do a solo Riff. Anyone know why it's just him? I dunno, I don't find them as funny; as much as I love him n all. Nothing against Misties or Riffs it just doesn't feel the same to me.

  • @sneakykatze82 There are only solo Mike riffs because at the start Mike was the only riffer. Mike started RiffTrax himself, and the early work was just him. Mike had been trying to come up with a way to riff on current movies without getting in copyright trouble, and RiffTrax started out as a sort of experiment. Turns out it worked (hurray!), and Kevin and Bill joined in later. I agree he's less funny by himself, but he's still funny alone. The early stuff is worth checking out.

  • @WesHatesYourMovie Ya I've seen just about all their stuff (although I didn't know about Rifftrax for the longest time, I am still watching MST3K lol) and I watch Cinematic Titanic from time to time (though... honestly not even near as much, I love Mary n the gang I just don't like the set up :/ ) I just didn't know the history about why it was sometimes just Mike. Ya it's still funny n all but somehow it loses the OOMF when it's one guy ya know? Be cool if they would go back and re-do those!

  • @WesHatesYourMovie Oh and thank you for popping these up, I play them on a loop a lot when I am doing stuff on my computer and I've made some of them into movies for my Sims to watch XD You & HauntingYourKids I think is their name, make my favorite ones ^__^b

  • @sneakykatze82 You're welcome. Glad you like them. :) Also, in case you didn't know, I also have a bunch of RiffTrax over at my Wes964 channel. (I started posting RiffTrax at this channel because the other one is just one strike away from being taken down, and I'm trying to avoid that).

  • @WesHatesYourMovie Ah I will check it out sometime, I am pretty sure I have before but I have a terrible memory. I wish they wouldn't do that, yank channels off YouTube n all I mean. It's not like you are making a profit or anything and I for one find the little teasers just plain annoying. After 10minutes of watching one of these and I genuinely will buy the entire audio file from their site. Makes more money then a 50second teaser if you ask me!

  • "I crapped _everywhere._"

Quick question: Where did you find a playable The Fifth Element file? Do you dub the film from a tape and rip the disc or what? I've been considering just buying the tapes, dubbing them, and ripping them, but I don't have a straight answer about whether or not the file will get a Content ID Match on YouTube.

  • Amazingly enough, although I never (before this) saw the earlier portions of the film, I did carry away an impression that Mila Jovovich played a complete imbecile with flawless perfection.

  • The Riffs aren't as good when he doesn't have someone to play off of, are they?

  • metallic john goodmans xD you, sir, have made my day

  • I like the Fifth Element!!! One of my favorite movies!

  • Big balls ... of evil :)

  • "You know, for the hot pants alone, I think they deserved that."

Yeah, who puts hot pants on security? That's stupid!

  • "Vin Diesel...Vinegar and salt potato chips...Vagisil.." LMAO!!

  • LOL @ MC Hammer at the Iowa State Fair

  • Corben look somehow in someway like Duke Nukem without his sunglasses!

  • i think ipeed

  • the word of the day is SHUT THE HELL UP!!

  • Why is it most of the riffs I've downloaded have the curse words bleeped out but this doesn't?

  • @sevenbegore They try to keep the riffs around a PG 13 rating. But sometimes the riff sounds better unbleeped, so they leave it. There's also some unbleeped swearing in the Phantom Menace and Transformers 2 riffs.

  • Corben?... Wiggles McSadClown. XD I laughed like a dumbass at that one. lol

  • kinda lacking without the other guys.

  • Jar jar hammers and grimis, LOL

  • "I had the same reaction the first time I had a shot of Jaegermeister." NEVER make the mistake of eating while watching one of these, unless you want to choke to death and/or spew food all over your monitor.

  • "I vomited, pooped, vomited, vomited, vomited, and pooped. Sorry. Here comes some more vomit."

    Clearly a cat owner.

  • @TheTempleHunter Mike makes a lot of cat riffs in the other rifftrax too, so I bet you're right.

  • Alone is tough but, I have to say Mike did a damn good job.

  • @Verto9999 I agreed. I've done a few riffs on my own for much shorter films, so I know from first hand experience what a challenge it can be. Hats off to Mike. :)

  • Wiggles McSadclown...

  • This was the second riff? What was teh first

  • @TheKonohaWhiteFang7 According to Wikipedia, the first mp3 sync-with-the-DVD rifftrax was Road House. I don't have that one, so I couldn't say how it compares to this one.

  • @WesHatesYourMovie Actually, "Plan 9 from Outer Space" was the 1st. Then, "Night of the Living Dead" was 2nd, "Road House" was 3rd, and "The 5th Element" was 4th.

  • @PunchSydeiron But weren't Plan Nine and Living Dead sold as VODs and DVDs, not sync mp3s? I'd thought Roadhouse was the first sync mp3.

  • @WesHatesYourMovie I'm not sure because Wikipedia's list of Rifftraxes wasn't that specific.

  • @PunchSydeiron They offer the mp3s for them on the website now, but I'm not sure if they were originally released that way.

  • @WesHatesYourMovie If they were public domain films, then I'm positive that Rifftrax released them as both VODs _and_ Mp3s.

  • "Except Larry.

    ...and he's dead"

  • M. Night Shamalamadingdong is what I've always called him too.

  • If anyone I know never saw the fifth element I would just direct them to this video. Much faster and a bit more entertaining.

  • Speak English you lousy perfect being or go back to perfectville

  • "This Chris Tucker performance has now far exceed my yearly allowance of Chris Tucker - which is exactly zero units of Chris Tucker."

"Word of the Day is Shut The Hell Up!"

"His voice is actually peeling the paint off my walls."

"Not a subtle performance. It comes from the Al Pacino school of yell acting."

  • "Thank you for the '70s album art, oh Holy Ones,we shall cull the seeds from our dimebag on it, beloved overlord."

    "Maaaan"

"Dreamt I was in 'Hudson Hawk'. "

"This must be the place where they keep churning out all those Wayans brothers."

"That's what I did the first time I did a shot of Jaegermeister."

"That is SO gay,I believe it circles around, back again, to Heterosexual."

"You know, five minutes with that guy, and I'd involuntarily start beating him to death with a shovel."

  • Photo negative of Don King LLLOOOOLLLL

  • Maybe someday Mike will do a "3 Riffer" version of this like he's done with some the other Rifftrax he did by himself early on :)

  • that had to be the first seventh day adventist joke I've ever heard. well done, mike, lol.

  • i love maddog2020....

  • "Thats how you handle the Jehova's Witnesses!"

  • creepy voice in a tin can? Where'd thateminate from?

  • @MoonBurgle That's DisembAudio. It's used to sync the riff with the movie.

  • "Okay! You're an idiot! That's great..."

  • Someone should tell Mike that NOBODY does it like molten boron.

  • This is one of the best Rifftrax I've heard but it is strange without the banter aspect.

  • "I think that's M Knight Shamalamadingdong."

"The very moment he saw her, Papa Smurf called Lawsuit Smurf, and they sued the living sh*t out of her."

  • let me guess you see dead people? ...... Okay, you're an idiot that's great :D

  • "If Porkey Pig were a homicidal maniac."

  • It does sound a bit weird, but that's not just because of the absence of a Kevin or a Bill. this was the second rifftrack so you don't hear the certainty that this Rifftrax® thing would work in Mike's voice like you do now.

  • @DoctaDualist That's a good observation.

  • -BALL OF EVIL, COMIN' THROUGH! MAKE A HOLE, PEOPLE!!

  • A little disappointing because I was looking forward to seeing one of my all-time favorite movies riffed by the MST3K crew but it's just Mike. Just feels weird with just one guy riffing.

  • "Speak English you lousy perfect being! Or go back to Perfectville!"

  • During the shoot, Chris Tucker almost HAD to have been on an almost lethal level of cocaine.

  • No office is complete without a plant. That's the purpose of the retractable cactus!

  • @troyal77 your right there's a bill and mike shaped hole

  • Wow, the reveal of the fifth element is surprising to anyone who has never seen or heard of Captain Planet.

  • "These guys make RuPaul look butch!"

  • mike did a great gary oldman impression.

  • Mike is the shit, but the riffs always feel somehow unbalanced when he's alone.

  • I give you Bozo...the sexy clown.

    :)

  • Does he never mention blue singing ladies startling resemblence to "Tranya" kid from Star Trek?

  • Pretty good but much prefer the Riffs of Mike with others, just a bit off with him on his own.

  • @Anynom Even when it's Mike and Kevin or Mike and Bill, it just isn't as good as when all three of them are together.

  • "If there's a way his costume could be gayer, I'd like to know what it is."

Sequins, Mike. Especially rainbow sequins depicting either the gay pride symbol or two men having anal sex, depending on the amount of room you have to work with and the skill of the tailor/seamstress.

  • Well I'll never be able to see Rush Hour (kid loves it and has it on DVD) again without getting PTSD flashbacks but this was hilarious enough to be worth it.

  • wait, what's the purpose of the retractable cactus?

  • You have really gotten me into Rifftrax - and I thank you for it!

Question: Do you think Mike "plays" better with his entourage? so he has someone to play off of? or (like in 5th element) do you think he is just as funny going solo?

  • @Checker222 Mike is great even when he's going solo. But he's much better when he has Kevin and Bill with him.

  • @Checker222 I vote for Mike with Bill and Kevin. They just have such a good rapport, it's a pleasure to listen to them enjoy each other's company.

  • @guysmiley00

    I agree!
