  • I have an 73 cj5

  • Wonder if my Original Hurricane would have made it? 69 CJ 5

  • Sounds great what exhaust do you have on her?

  • I have a 67 Mark 4 Tuxedo park with the Buick Dauntless 225 cast iron engine. love em!

  • I get emails about the motor, it is a Buick V6 which was rhe factory motor for 1967 as Kaiser did not have a motor so they bought the block from Buick then sold it back! Same motor as a Buick Skylark

  • @67jeep my jeep has a buik v6 i thought it was a 71 i wasnt sure though yet ive been lookin for a clutch cable everywhere and i cant find one thats right

  • @pudgeya1 You mean a replacement or where it is on the jeep? Walcks4wd these guys have everything and in stock. I got a ton of parts from them and even with shipping to Canada prices were pretty good. I'm sure there is two different lenghts as I also ordered one when building the jeep

  • @67jeep no a replacement i found one on 4wd.com good website also they gota lota stuff but i couldnt find it at any parts stores or anything its a one piece clutch cable like 54.4 inches long

  • that is most likely the wrong one. the clutch cable is like 12 inched ling and goes from the clutch fork to a pivoit that that is attached to the frame and the clutch pedal is mounted to the frame like the brake. if your jeep is different it is most likey newer.

  • @67jeep well mine is different i took the old one off and it measured like 54 inches mine hooks onto the pedal connects to the frame goes around inlike a half loop hooks to the frame then the fork

  • Theres 4 cylinders that cam in cjs theres inline 258 I6 theres the buick V6 which this things has pretty much a V8 minutes two cylinders makes good power. i have a 1981 CJ5 and its got a 5speed AX15 out of a 93 cherockee, and under the hood is a SBC with towing cam and internals. its the best thing ive ever owned and people always want to ride in it and ask to sell it

  • It is a v6

  • buy an overdrive, it bolts right to the transfer case and adds a th gear so you can do highway at about 2100 rpm. I have it, does great.

  • It has an overdrive, but since this video I put new axles in it with a 539 gear. It is awsome now

  • "thahat was aahsum!" haha xD

    nice Jeep, nice video! :-)

  • it is the dauntless V6. it is made by buick. you are thinking of the 258 i6

  • does that v6 give enough power to drive on the interstate (70 mph)?

  • 70 mph !! my god!! try buying a race car not a jeep lol

  • i need a new (different) car, and thats what i have to drive to get to work.

  • ya dude your going to have to even put mods on a rac car to go that fast!!!! no dude these jeeps have a straight 6 which is 4.0 litre..most cars that you see on the interstate have a 2. something...i run my jeep cherokee a little over 2,000rmp on the interstate..which isnt very much

  • its got the power just not the transmission i got the same 1 and itll do 70 but it burns oil like crazy haha it revs just to high

  • lol, thanks, i am trying to talk my bro-in law's dad out of his cj5.

  • I have a CJ5 silver anniversary that im rebuilding from ground up im like the bill gates of engines and i got a V8 in it that will blow you away i have spent over 10 grand on just the engine.

  • your like the bill gates of engines...idk if you actually meant something by that or..if your just trying to fill space...seems like your just trying to fill space

  • Muddin' with a CJ5 is so much fun, and pretty easy too. One of my favorite weekend getaways during the summer is pack up a few coolers and head for the mountains. The winter dosen't stop me either, I go out and play in the snow too. If I can't find a trail, I'll make one.

  • looks like my old one

  • 71 cauntless in my cj5, beautiful engine. bored out 30 over cam adn all the goodies. shes my lil hot rod, on the road, and a beast off.

  • Gotta Dauntless i my '71 love it..great engine on and off orad...

  • i have a 68 cj5 =d

  • It's the dauntless, lots of torque and horsepower stock, I'm not hard core wheeler so it works great, I don't know about a v8 in a cj5, I put it an eletric fan and it almost hits the pulleys, It would be tight.

  • yea i figured it was its same engine as in mine. but amc did put the v8 in the cj5 in the mid 70s but at the same time it got a lil longer and wider by a couple inches.

mine has an electric fan as well only if u pull back the radiator you can fit it in front of it and not worry about the fan hittin the electric one and the cluster that would coincide with it being in the engine bay.

  • beautiful jeep i have a 67 cj5 myself same color and everything im just slowly workin out the kinks on it. did u modify a v8 for that or is that the dauntless?

  • What a weapon! I also have an early model CJ5. Building a 302w for it now. What sise tyres you running?

  • 35 inch Baja claws

  • Did it with ease JEEP POWER!

  • nice
