Have been enjoying Pinnacle14 for over a year. Successfully produced tape transfers to dvd for over 40 hours. New Issue.

1. sucessfully burned and saved project.

2. new project. using same video content as project 1, changed ONE letter in spelling error.

3. create movie. create image. INVALID PATH ERROR.

4. forums suggest delete aux files. resave. and more. NO SOLUTION.

The bottom problem has been resolved by De-interlace / blend option preset. Which is the best setting to create a DVD home movie to view on a large widescreen dvd, in best quality and can be edited also in Nero to create chapters? Would you suggest only a AVI file or Divx 16:9 file size. I tried a Dvd Avi-Dv but Nero won't except it.

Hello Avid... I am having a new and unusual problem in creating a Divx or any other HD recording and hoping you might be able to provide some light on this problem. I have used two video recorders to record a Ballet event & combined them in PS14. Started using the 2 layer format but after edited reverted to 1 in the hope the troubleshooting would go away. So I am getting a new editing software for my new laptop and i dont know what to get. My choses are CyberLink PowerDirector 9and Pinnacle.

BUT I need a few things on the editing system.

I need to be able to change the pitch WITHOUT shortening the video(for MUSIC).

Also to play 2 videos at once. I know Pinnacle does this. I just want to know if PowerDirector does.

I'm trying to get wedding video to burn straight to the dvd. I followed the instructions as stated in this tutorial, but when I insert my blank Verbatim DVD+R dvd, it just makes noises like its doing something. Then it finally says "Waiting 4 valid media to be loaded.. the inserted media may not be compatible w/ the burner." Any suggestions on what I should do to make it work properly. I've tried 3 different blanks.

I have a problem where I create a video, set up all of the details in the settings, then i go to create a FILE and nothing happens. There is no help ANYWHERE as to what to look for, what to do even, how to see any progress, etc. It's a joke! Any help on how to create a movie FILE successfully would be greatly appreciated.....if its possible.

Whenever I make my final movie and upload it directly to YouTube, it uploads all the way through, then says that the video wasn't published and that it may be a problem with the website server. Is it on my end or YouTube's?

Whenever I create a file it always fails to export somehow

when i press create movie (on disc) it says i have to select a image folder, what do i do for that? everytime i click ok it says it doesnt work after the whole time its been burning

@primospartan An image is first created before a disc is ever burned. Make sure that all of your settings are correct and that you are not trying to create a disc from an image that has already been created. Once an Image is created Studio will begin creating your disc.

@primospartan Are you talking about the DVD not playing in your DVD player? If that is the case, please try the disc created in another DVD player just to test it...sometimes the DVD maker does not follow the DVD spec and this can cause problems on playback. I have one DVD player that will not play anything I make except hollywood films...so I never use it to test my discs.

@jinluger the DVD authoring program that comes with Pinnacle Studio does not offer any copy protection on your DVD you make. If you need copy protection you may have to go to a replicator to produce your discs...they can add that on to the disc or look at some of the more expensive authoring systems.

@drdykes I am sorry to tell you that you will not be able to open multiple projects in the same timeline. You are going to have to render out a couple of them and add them to one of the projects you have (at least you will not have to render out one of the projects) I wish I had a better answer for you.

Dear gizmocozmo,

What are you having problems with? Are you trying to burn a DVD or a CD? I would recommend that you create a DVD of your movie. Simply select disc, make sure there is a blank DVD in your drive and select make movie. It is also important to make sure that your computer has a DVD burner installed in it too.
